  1. I mean great! That usually means the cost this year is mostly the same, and if they are saying up to that means some decent incentives built in. Honestly, he's the most proven passing weapon we have
  2. I don't mind the comparison. I'm ok at the idea of trying to take a prime role here because the supporting cast makes it an ensemble
  3. Now I know you're full of it. There's no such thing as too much!
  4. Until last night my top priority was a Z receiver. But watching Mahomes get pinballed cemented to me the only way to beat him...physically beating him. As an academic exercise, think of every position group. Which of those aren't league average or better? WR, but Hollins and/or Cooper could likely be had reasonably. Secondary? Ingram looked good in limited time and Beane has a supernatural ability to get late round gems. Rapp outperformed expectations, you have Bishop and Lewis. What would fall apart if all assets went to D-line? I'm struggling to think of a catastrophy
  5. Just for a little bit of perspective here as someone in the Philly sports media zone: you would not believe the calls for firings. Howie Roseman was run out of his office and people wouldn't shut up about how how whiffed on defensive late round picks. He has now assembled two SB winning rosters After the Eagles fell apart down the stretch last year fans were out for blood and wanted to fire the entire coaching staff one year after getting to the SB. Instead they hired Kellen Moore (now the Saints HC) and Fangio. Just some perspective considering the things I've heard about McDermott and Beane.
  6. Let me tell you D-line play is going to be scrutinized as hell this offseason
  7. This is October and November KC showing up against a real opponent I just wish they had been that way two weeks ago
  8. I'm actually amazed the Jets made the right call. It's a painful hit but they'll be over it by 2026, and they have a clean slate. I wonder if they are open to trading Garrett Wilson No! He must go to Minnesota! The cycle must be complete!
  9. Watching because I live around Philly and we are bonding over Chiefs and ref hate. FWIW, in a decade plus living here my interactions with Eagles fans have been ok. For the most part I don't get razzed unless I'm joining in on it and people legitimately seem to appreciate Josh Allen's play.
  10. Why the hell would be do that? If anything, we are on the horn to the Saints offering a trade if they wanted to go in another direction. Yes, I want to see more. Yes, he relied upon too many Josh runs for short yardage without having a backup plan. But seriously, while there isn't a perfect stat, the Bills were 2nd in the league in EPA/play at 0.18. For reference, the "historic Ravens offense" was #1 at 0.21, while the Lions were 0.15. The offense was 4th in points per game, and we all know that for a lot of them had the Bills been willing to put the petal to the metal we could have put up more, but there was no need to take those risks. All with one player cracking 800 yards receiving. Cook had a great year, but even then we didn't put so much tread on him that How much of that is Josh? Part of it, I am sure. But what we saw looks like something we could do again, and do better.
  11. I know this would cost an arm and a leg but Higgins would be the final piece of a Coleman and Shakir trio.
  12. The signs were something like they aren't 100% but good enough to play. Concussion protocol is out of the teams hands In lieu of church I shall recite: 5 Mr. Brightside 1 Better Days 1 Bills Mafia Anthem Amen
  13. Any word on Benford's status? At this point that's my biggest X Factor
  14. Edibles usually go for about 8-10 hours. Or so I've been told
  15. The next 10.5 hours will be nervous energy, followed by 3 hours of panic and then rapture or despair So a normal game day people!
  16. I knew I was forgetting one. Yar, as much as it would suck for us Brady reuniting with Burrow makes too much sense if Zac Taylor gets kicked to the curb (which we kind of already deserves IMHO)
  17. I'm thrilled to have him back but at this point I honestly think it's the right thing for him personally. I could maybe see the Bears with a young QB to mentor, cap space and picks. Heck I hate the Cowboys but competent HC work with a mid-tier starting QB could have worked. But if the last seat is the Saints? They are $50 million over the cap with Derek Carr as their QB. That is, at best, a multi-year project. Next year has looming questions for the Colts, Browns, Seahawks, Cardinals, Panthers and Falcons. I think he'd have better luck there.
  18. To be fair, he's not ashamed. He's ass-shamed. Maybe he just has a undesirable rear end
  19. To me this is what Brady does that Dorsey never did. If he sees a tendency that he thinks can be exploited he builds the gameplan around that. If winning means Josh has less than 200 combined yards he does it and Josh has bought in enough that he is fine with that. I wanted us to keep Diggs. We do not have this offense had he remained.
  20. He's not wrong. If the Bills were playing from behind I expect they would have turned it on. Josh threw it deep on that first drive. But that was followed by two Ravens turnovers with the run and short pass game productive and clicking up until halftime at which point clock management and avoiding the big turnover becomes a thing. If Andrews catches that 2 point conversions I suspect the limits would have come off
  21. One fewer team in the running for Brady (not that I think he'd jump ship for that Trainwreck). The Lions needing to deal with brain drain. No issues found in this sector captain.
  22. Anything that has a higher chance of Joe Brady staying another year
  23. I saw a Ravens fan reaction video today and his question was simple: What on Earth can we do from a roster perspective that leads to a different result? They have a 2 time, likely 3 time MVP under center (leaving aside whether those are deserved). They have a HoF running back and an All Pro Fullback. They have a Pro Bowl WR1 and TE1s. They have 2 more All Pros on defense. If the coaching staff can't get to the Conference Finals with that roster, what else can they do? Ownership might decide that a decent HC is easier to find than another QB
  24. He is available IIRC. I think it's telling that he has never been elevated shows that McDermott would have rather taken the chance on playing Cole Bishop. But if Rapp is hard out, I can see a chance.
