  1. Yeah. The fact that Tyrod is practicing, even if limited, on the first day, is a good sign. I keep seeing people freak out over people being out Wednesday when you see Harvin taking every Wednesday off.
  2. Crazy idea here: Gilmore and Darby are currently playing lights out as the #1 and 2 CBs. Robey is ok as the slot CB. But we are down at safety. Maybe we throw in McLovin at safety to help him get back up to speed?
  3. Again, do we have anything that isn't a retweet of Garoph? It doesn't make much sense, especially since he claims the he might be a short term IR candidate but McKelvin has that spot.
  4. Does anyone think we are rushing to judgment on an injury...again? We were hearing Tyrod was out for 4 weeks 24 hours ago, and here he is practicing.
  5. Interesting. Especially with teams like the Raiders, Ravens and Seahawks, not known as offensive powerhouses on their list.
  6. In general, I find that going with the opposite of what Bucky says leads me to the truth. He's barely competent as the Sabres correspondent. When he reports for the Bills...I don't get how they keep him with Jay, Dunne...Carucci and...*sigh* Sully working it. When Sully is ahead of you when it comes of refraining from snap judgement, you need to go. It's confirmation bias.Somewhere early on, a lot of local guys latched onto a rumor that the smart pick as the starter. Almost every person on this board who went to training camp and watched the practices seemed to indicate that EJ and Tyrod were no where near as bad as Carucci was making him out to be. EJ's excellent play in the scrimmage and preseason games was diminished because Rex "cared about what he saw in practice".
  7. Look, I like Tyrod...and I think that we will probably go back to him as soon as he is healthy. But if an injury was going to happen, I would prefer to kick the tires and see what we have on EJ at this particular point in the season, between brutal slogs. Let's see if he can put it all together when given full reign.
  8. It's good to hear he's expected to play. It looks like they'll need him.
  9. The comparison I heard most was Alex Smith...which THQH would kind of perfect for Sunday. The Bengals are 4th in DE QB pressures (we are 3rd) and they are giving up more yards than we are over the air. Maybe it's time to try out those short underneath passes from the shotgun that keep getting used on us. If Sammy and Karlos are back this week, that is huge.
  10. I enjoy how one fan says the Bengals anticipated this already and already were game planning before the story broke.
  11. Still retweeting the original tweet without any secondary source as confirmation.
  12. Even if EJ is the starter next week, again, this isn't the first time Roman has had to switch out QBs and change the game plan. EJ has been compared to Alex Smith, so I see no reason why they can't go back into the drawer for those style of plays. Probably fewer devoted Read-Option runs, but a rollout or two and maybe some more shotgun.
  13. Yes. My first reaction was "well...sh&t". But the Cincy game was going to be tough no matter who was playing. And, to be honest, this kind of flips the script for the offense, which may be a good thing gping in. EJ is a very different QB to prepare for, and has his own chemistry with receivers, like Woods who has been overlooked and there's only preseason film on him in Roman's offense. I believe Freddy was out for 4 games with his MCL so let's look ahead: -Neutral venue game vs a very weak Jugs team. -Bye week - Home against a very weak Miami team If this was going to happen, I would prefer it be this time of year.
  14. I have a hard time having faith vs the Bungles even if we had everyone fully healthy. I think Tyrod plays Sunday, for sure. I could entirely see him holding a clipboard vs the Jags as the backup so he can rest and then getting the extra week of the bye to rest.
  15. A) I have a hard time believing a no name source who says "apparently" Tyrod is hurt real bad. He was still well enough to throw that bomb to Hogan aND make that catch in the red zone. There is a big difference between playing sore and being out. B) If he is out, I absolutely have faith in EJ to take on the Jags. That would be some lovely karmic justice.
  16. I agreee. Cincy looks like the team we are trying to build into. I would really love to have a full healthy roster for this, especially McKelvin considering how well theyve been spreading the ball, but getting Sammy and Karlos back would be huge.
  17. I don't revel in other team's injuries. It leads to bad karma on us. That said, it does make the road to the wild card a bit easier.
  18. Horrible, horrible call. That could have swung the game.there might be riots if that was a decider. The Bills won despite the refs best efforts.
