  1. I think it's certainly a depth need. And looking ahead, cutting Wood gives us the second most amount of cap space possible (after Kyle) I am certainly ok with taking developmental players, but I would be shocked if we use a high draft pick.
  2. If you want to get in extra early for breakfast, I heavily recommend Miss Shirley's. A couple friends of mine are Baltimore natives, and this keeps topping the list. I heavily recommend the Crab Cake Benedict and Chicken and Waffles
  3. It's an option for me too. This is actually the easiest way to get to a game this year, and since it's a home opener, I don't have to worry about weather. Could a get a TBD movement to go?
  4. Really? I really respect your work, but I personally disagree with you. I mean, I know fixing the defense is the priority, and it would be nice to get insurance at QB, but I watched Sammy get thrown to in double coverage more times than I would have liked last year. Toss in Hogan leaving, and Woods and Goodwin in the last years of their contract I would have guessed at least a 3rd.
  5. Well, it's not shocking to me that they aren't looking in round 1. Outside of Treadwell (who has some knocks on him too) I can't think of many WRs who are likely to be BPA at 19. What do you think, 2nd-3rd round? I would be ok with moving back in the first if we got one of those.
  6. Thanks! I definitely think we need at least one WR, which is why I'm so confused about the lack of one at draft visits.
  7. Because McNesby said that he would. Because they just, can, not let it go. It's a perfect stump speech for getting reelected.
  8. Wow. That is brutal, especially if they're starting a rookie. Or Geno. That that I'm complaining
  9. Good deal for the Titans. They get six picks within 76. They have their franchise QB. I'm less sold for LA. I honestly don't think any new draft pick is a day 1 ready starter. They would be throwing their new player to the wolves. I hope we play LA early.
  10. Yeah, that's what I was thinking. They will get a nice chunk of change back for draft space, but man, they picked the wrong time to be short a strong left tackle. It's going to be difficult to find as strong of a day 1 starter at 20. The trend seems to be that now the players coming out of college on the O line need time to develop.
  11. Honestly I'd be ok with Hackenburg in the 2nd. Give him a year under Tyrod, let EJ walk.
  12. They have one of the best defenses in the league. I'm sure Von Miller would be nice But seriously, the only way I see that is if the Bills get a prospect they really love in the draft and want to cash in. Bit even if they did, I wouldn't.
  13. Good to know. LB coverage really was the biggest weakness last year. I keep hearing about the pass rush but when Brady is throwing it over the middle in two seconds...
  14. That would probably be the only way anyone would look to trade for 19. The question is what we'd get for it. Anyone who picks in the low 20's would have a good chance of riding it out and anyone in the mid rounds would have used up their pick.
  15. I have to agree with 26CornerBlitz on this one. I don't think Shady should be punished. But Goddell has been so inconsistent, and Johnny Football, the other big story, can't find a job to be made an example of.
  16. Indeed it was. They hitched their post pretty firmly to the FOP early on. McNesby was there in person a lot. I figured the delay would give the chance to slink away but I guessed wrong.
  17. I know it's barely on topic, but holy delayed reaction on sports radio here in Philly. Williams was right to do this on Monday, but now it's coming around again. 94.1 has been shilling pretty hard for the FOP, so they were back at again this morning.
  18. I don't know if it's our biggest need. Henderson isn't awful and Glenn is very solid. My main worries are elsewhere. But Glenn still is on a one year deal, regardless of goodwill. And we could use an upgrade at RT even if it's not strictly necessary. So if a top 10 guy drops to 19, you pull the trigger even if it's not an immediate need. It's what they did with Darby last year and we seem happy with how that turned out.
  19. I think Blanton might be the box safety. What I've heard on him is that he can lay the lumber but isn't much help in coverage. With the cash they have on him, he would likely fill the role you had in mind. But to the original question, I'm wondering if Rex might go to the 46 Nickel considering who we've been bringing in and keeping. Maybe a 5-2 that practically becomes a 4-2-5 when you yank Lawson away from Run support. Hughes-Kyle-NT/Dareus-(3-4 DE)/Dareus Brown-Brown Gilmore-AW-Blanton-Graham-Darby Maybe sonme thing like that.
  20. At the very least, it's much needed deoth. If we're lucky it's a Hughes or Incognito situation where Whaley found a score.
  21. Part of me thinks the latter is why they picked up Blanton. Assuming we keep as more of a 3-4, you'd have Hughes as pass rush OLB, Lawson as as the SAM, Brown as Mike, and Blanton doing what Bradham was doing.
  22. Yeah. IIRC Rex liked to run with a lot of 3 safety packages with the Jets. Considering how awful our linebackers are at covering, would people be ok just running a box safety as the base?
  23. Pretty much. When you have the Pats throwing on third and short, you start making everything nickel or nickel hybrid. Which is why I'm ok with us drafting Ragland. *smoke bomb*
