  1. I brought it up in the LaFell thread, but to my knowledge he is an UFA this year and I haven't heard any buzz. We know what he is, and we would need more WRs regardless, but wouldn't it be good to have a red zone WR if we are focusing on short WCO passes?
  2. Speaking of which, I am ok with kicking the tires on Hunter again. I would rather we try to pick him up than try LaFell. Maybe he is a one trick pony, but red zone touchdown scoring is a pretty good trick.
  3. I think it's because we like the idea of an H-back who can also block in a WCO. It would have opened a lot of ways to get YAC. But I will take the best rated blocking FB.
  4. Considering the deals the Osweiler got and it looks like Glennon is going to get, this makes Whaley look canny as hell. I will take TT over those two any day, and he's getting a very team friendly contract that leaves it open to take a flier on a project QB this year or a serious pick next year and let him acclimate and not throw him into the fire like we did EJ.
  5. Well, he's very good at what he does, and that's run block. A lot of Dennison's running game uses that so Shady should be enjoying nice big run lanes next year.
  6. Ehhh, I don't like that he isn't as versatile as Juice.
  7. Wow. Ok. I guess the Juice market got too crazy. Anybody know anything about this guy?
  8. Nice. I can live with that. I think he took a pay cut on there somewhere to make that work. It was already close to that before the restructure.
  9. I think so? I don't see anything of that amount on SpotRac but his cap hit would be $16M and now it's under $9. He's taking a big salary cut for a signing bonus.
  10. You know what, I can live with that. He was the best person we were going to get this year. If we are not happy, we go to the more QB heavy 2018 draft and pick up a guy like Aaron Rodgers and let him ride the pine for a year.
  11. Well, I like picking up $6 mil. I'm curious to see how it affects next year, especially if he keeps the signing bonus.
  12. And I think he can. In fact, I was ok with just picking up his option. I honestly think he gives us the best chance to win now, and you don't flush away the last year's with high cost free agents by dropping in someone from a dubious QB draft class. My worry is if we want to move on next year. It would have been pricy next year, but we could have done it. If we lock in, I am worried. On the other hand, the Rapp report makes me feel better. If his sources are saying that the new coaches wanted him all along but at a lower price tag, then they have a plan of what to do with him.
  13. I think so too. From what I hear the draft is stacked with DB's this year. I think we can get someone quality in the 2nd round as long as we shore up safety.
  14. Well he's not coming here! Not anymore. I honestly think it's to Denver. With their D and competent QB play they should be a powerhouse.
  15. Yeah he is going to hit the roof. I still want to see how they did it. If they committed to three years on him to free up cap space I will be a little nervous. If it makes cutting or trading him next year easier, Whaley is a genius.
  16. Damn. I guess we have to get one I'm the draft
  17. We should probably merge the threads... But anyway, this is huge news one way or the other! I will reserve judgement until I see the actual numbers.
  18. Ooof. On one hand, I wanted him. On the other, $9 mill a year is a loooooot of money for a RT.
  19. I happen to agree with you. The Bills offense certainly has its flaws, but I truly believe that the defense cost us dearly. I still cringe thinking about that Miami game as Adayji just gashed us and ran through broken tackle after broken tackle.
  20. Felton is a FA. Juice looks like he can fill that role and be more of a H-back as well.
  21. I agree. Of course, to play devil's advocate, if you want to start a rookie, the best thing you can do is make sure the OL is rock solid and you have a strong running game. I like the moves I've heard about so far today. I have heard zilch about the O-line in the draft. I don't think I've seen a single mock with a tackle in the top 10. I'm ok with dropping some money to lock up RT.
  22. It was pointed out to me in 2015 that when you looked at Bradford's career stats at that point and Fitz's stats they were virtually identical. At the time Bradford was coming off his best season up to that point. It has nothing to do with Mahomes, other than noting that nothing is a sure thing.
  23. Well, good for the Giants. I'm actually a little surprised, it's setting the bar on salary low for probably the most proven guy to hit FA.
  24. I love it. Felton was great blocking last season once we brought him back, but he couldn't catch fire if he was doused in gasoline. Dennison uses a lot of fullback play and he's a more versatile option to use in the short passing game.
  25. If we are dead set on cutting Tyrod, Foles isn't the worst choice. I honestly think he's Tyrod lite: not as mobile, good accuracy on short throws, can stretch the field with deep bombs but has trouble throwing intermediate over the middle and doesn't turn the ball over a ton. If you want a vet backup, or you need a rookie QB to ride the bench for a year, I don't think he's the worst. But by no means is he a step up from Tyrod.
