I would still do that. Seriously, when healthy, he takes you to another level. I think if you drop a healthy Luck into our offense and defense, we honestly compete for the division. With extra 2nd and 3rd round picks, you can fill in gaps and make a real contender. I doubt it'll happen though

I'm pretty sure that we are going to keep Dareus at least through next year unless someone really walks in with a great trade deal. Having $14 M tied up for not having him is a large price to pay compared to $16.5 M for keeping him. Hate Whaley for giving him that contract if you like, but it's there now. Believe it, I would love that too. I think one of the most telling remarks I saw on the Pats forums was "Brady *looks* 40". I'm also remembering how fast Manning went downhill at the end of 2014 and then how he looked in 2015. Brady has already beaten the odds on time, and even a diminished Brady is still likely the best QB in the AFCE, but yeah, it would be quite a nice surprise of they spin their wheels this year and be stuck with bad contracts and an aging QB next year

I missed most of the second half, so I would love to see a replay. I am shocked that 1) the Patriots lost that game 2) that they lost that badly and 3) that they had such a huge 4th quarter discrepancy. I've remarked before that I think the Brady dynasty is winding down. The man is already older than Manning when he retired, and Belicheck went against usual procedure by bidding crazy high for Gilmore, and giving up draft picks for Cooks and Gilly. I will not be shocked if the Pats bounce back, but they definitely put out tape on how to attack them.

This is pretty much it for me. I have few doubts that the defense should absolutely keep the Jets at bay. That Jets offense looks really, really bad. For me, it's what happens when we have the ball. What I want to see, what I really want to see, is the Bills have long, sustained drives against that defense. The Jets have done an excellent job limiting Shady over the past few years, even if the man has had some impressive plays. That likely means that in order to manage the clock, and keep things running, the Bills will have to do well in the short and medium passing game. If we can show improvement there, against the Jets D, I think we might have something.

I do think getting Luck is a long shot, and I assume that it depends on how bad the Colts are this year. If Andrew Luck is significantly injured this season, and it becomes obvious that he needs to be put on ice, even in their lackluster division the Colts would probably finish close to the bottom. You proved my point. It turns out, when you surround a mediocre QB with tools like the Chiefs had and the Harbaugh Niners had, you get repeat playoff appearances.
