Yeah there's a big big biiiiig difference between "oh no, despite our best efforts a highly infectious disease hit us" and "whoopsies we blatantly violated a rule while already under scrutiny" Teams are going to have cases without a bubble. I'm fine for rescheduling due to acts of nature, like when we have blizzards or hurricanes. But this would just be due to reckless indifference

I am going to go on record here and say that, if this is true and they violated protocol to practice together when they were told not to, I want the Titans to forfeit. I doubt McDermott would allow something like that, but we'd deserve it if it the situation was reversed. It's not just risking themselves and their teammates, but the staff, their families...and the Bills! Even if there wind up being no fatalities this is now a scheduling and logistical nightmare.Throw the book at them!

That McKenzie Sweep on 4th and 1
WhitewalkerInPhilly replied to jimmy10's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I was listening to Cover 1 and they made a really good point: they kept faking the jet sweep for a ton of the game as window dressing. Eventually, the Raiders stopped biting so they kept the play in their back pocket until they needed it. Where did Daboll get the idea? The Bills had just gotten burned on it last week with all the sweeps to Woods. -

Just thinking...does this count as another Josh Allen 4th quarter game winning drive? -

NFCE Dumpster Fire

My wife is a big Eagles fan and after the Bills game was over I watched the OT with her. I have to say, I have no idea what happened to Carson Wentz. Three years ago he was looking like the way Josh does now. After his injury he never quite looked the same, but he at least looked above average. He has looked terrible thus far, and the Eagles are in serious cap trouble so that's likely not changing any time soon. -
Week 4: Bills at Raiders
WhitewalkerInPhilly replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I confess, I don't know the Raiders all that well because they've been so middle of the pack recently. Is there a reason why they are expected to do so well after going 11-21 in the last two years and not making any huge acquisitions that I can see. Yes, I saw they beat the Saints, but the Saints are looking surprisingly vulnerable. I don't want to get cocky, I just want to know the real areas for concern -
I also hated the pick at the time, and was a "wrong josher". That didn't last too long, and I like to think I started to come around last year. I also do want to ask: who here saw this coming, to the extent that he's started? I hoped for improvement. I would have been happy with a 250 yard per game average and a 65-68% completion rate. I did NOT see second in the NFL in yards per game and passing touchdowns with a 71.1% completion rate. It's even more encouraging to see the kinds of passes that have been made: ones with touch, placed where no one else could have had a chance on it. that makes me happier than the raw numbers.

I appreciate hard knock defense. I loathe watching a DB run press for 5.1 yards and get flagged when a pass got thrown on the other side of the field. From the replay I saw, the DB played tight press and didn't just let himself getting run over. I might not like the rule, but it gets enforced on us all the time and is absolutely black letter law.

I can live with it, but it's crazy to me that up into the DPI it looked like the refs would call any little thing on the Bills and give every benefit to the Rams. The DPI was one of those ticky tak calls that drove me crazy in the last twenty years, but that is clearly the direction that the NFL has chosen to go to. I think it should be fixed but until it is we play by those rules.

Postgame Thread Bills vs Rams

I did the same. I had gotten home at halftime, hoping to sit down to a blowout. I turned it off after the fumble because I felt like I was cursing them . You will feel no judgement from me. -

Week 3: Rams at Bills

I agree, though I suspect they come in with a different game plan than the one I watched vs the Eagles when the game was down. They know that Schwartz likes to play man to man, and the Eagles play aggressive so they did a lot of misdirections and sweeps. I think that our zone is better suited against that, but I would really love it if someone who knows better does a breakdown.
