I haven't been following specific players closely enough, but as far as a position I'd really like them to fill - Mitch Morse's replacement. As far as I'm concerned he is on borrowed time, and I do NOT want to see a half season of Greg Mancz or Rick Bates at Center.

I went the year we drafted Big Mike Williams at #4, and probably would never go again, both for the incredibly long wait time between Bills picks, and for the feeling that I cursed that pick (how do you mess up such a high pick at a position of great need so badly)

IMO looking at the age and history of our safeties he thinks A. there's a good shot to get on the field, and B. given our defensive coaching staff he thinks he's gonna have a chance to shine and make some coin next year.

I'm bummed we didn't get him. He's fun, and he runs hard, which to me is the one thing we lack if losing Singletary.

I find it hard to believe the Bears are really going to pay almost $100 million to break their lease AND on top of that pay entirely for the cost of a new stadium, but we'll see.

Absolutely true, but there are OCs who are scheming the passing games to create more easy throws / catches (which inherently should improve our drop rate.)

I also remember at the beginning of the year we heard a lot about the short game and then in the first game or 2 (and maybe in preseason too?) we saw a lot of batted passes - maybe they thought that was too big of a risk with the shorter throws? Still, other teams manage it and get it working for them.

I do think they need to figure out why the short / intermediate passing game didn't work this year. I agree that at times it seems like guys were getting open - were they not where Allen expected them to be, did he not trust them to catch the ball, was he not seeing them, or was he just hell bent on going down the field?

I went back and checked the broadcast this morning - it was a little hard to see a great angle, but I don't think there were 12 men on there.

That defensive timeout yesterday was a COMPLETE momentum killer. I was in the stadium, it was by far the loudest it had been all day (if I remember correctly they had just had a false start penalty) and as soon as he called TO the air was just sucked out of the place. For a team that relies so much on analytics, has anyone looked to see how often our Defense is successful after a defensive TO, because to me it seems like the track record is close to 0%. That happened early enough yesterday where it felt like we still had time to recover, but after they got it and scored, the game honestly just felt over.
