I agree that the organization needs to be accountable, however, I also think the NFL will not be as harsh since it's not directly related to player safety. -
Except this company has a history of cheating and bending the rules to gain any competitive advantage, so you really can't be too surprised if employees pick up that mindset.

I'm not saying what he did wasn't serious. Give him the chair. I just don't see what Ray Farmer's punishment really has to do with any of this, it's apples and potatoes.

they didn't ask him to hand over the phone, they asked to go through it with him or his chosen representative there to verify they were only looking at information pertinent to the investigation.

This was because they were throwing games, if this were to happen in the NFL and be proven you can bet there would be similar lifetime bans. A more similar offense in baseball is a corked bat or doctored baseball, which usually leads to what a 5 or 10 game ban? Which as a percentage of the schedule is equal to maybe one NFL half? -
