  1. I only watched the first quarter of the UB game, was surprised to see the final since it seemed pretty even in the first 15 minutes. Penn State's offense looked completely inept last week, will be interesting to see if they can improve.
  2. Good old Fred. I think him signing with NE would have been as or more hurtful than Thurman signing with the Dolphins all those years ago. Thanks Fred!
  3. Wow, you and I are worlds apart. I think Browns Jets is 50/50, and I picked Miami over Washington as my survivor pool pick this week (unless you just had it backwards in your post.)
  4. Tyrod does a lot of running, right? So he may actually run around our line to the point where a defender has a shot at him. Agreed that as in any game he's got a good shot at making it through uninjured, but figured since we are talking about hypotheticals I should point out the obvious. Are you listening to the Dean's story? That rule changed in 2011. http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2011/07/22/nfl-drops-third-quarterback-rule-46-active-players-on-game-day/
  5. I wonder if this is less important with Rex since I would guess he's more approachable to all of his players, not just the veteran leaders. I do like the idea of having established captains in place for the whole season, but I can see where there might be advantage in motivation by sometimes giving it to a guy playing against his former team (maybe Hughes gets the nod in week 1?)
  6. I had a really hard time with this. In the end I ended up having it done, because I had a male relative who had to have it done as an adult due to a chronic infection, and it sounded a bit traumatic.
  7. Did anyone push going mobile yet? I think it's better than going rogue anyway.
  8. Or one of the other cuts around the league to PS or active roster, I think we have two open spots now, right?
  9. Not sure if this was already posted and I missed it. The four other players Buffalo released to reach the 53-player limit were: DT Red Bryant C Dalton Freeman S Jonathan Meeks LB Kevin Reddick
  10. It is common, but it seems weird that a coach that has more than once complained about not having enough talent last year keeps picking up the guys that are cut from the same talentless squad.
  11. I could go either way with Cassel, and I agree it's a risk cutting him, but I strongly agree with the bolded. If they want, they can easily roll Cassel's money this year into an extension for Dareus that pays him that much more this year, adding to the total $ he would get.
  12. If we were going to cut him for cost reasons then it'd certainly be better to get any compensation in return. But maybe not with the relationship between coaching staff and Cassel.
  13. Or maybe to find someone better than Simms and cheaper than Cassel from someone else's cuts? Grossman? Not sure how open he'd be to a paycut since he sounded pretty pissed about not getting much playing time in the preseason. He might prefer to go to another team. I think he worked with Bill O'Brien in New England.
  14. I'm guessing he just realized he forgot to guarantee a Super Bowl win.
  15. There's another episode where the same dude pretends to be Tiger Woods. I'm hoping he can complete the trifecta as Mike Tyson someday.
  16. I honestly have no idea, just edited out. BTW, I have no desire to see him fail, but I had a lot more confidence in Fred being able to pick up crucial first downs. And the talk of Terry being cheap is (hopefully) obviously a joke.
  17. If Bryce Brown starts week 1 and struggles, this place will explode, right? Calls for Whaley's head? Maybe deservedly so? Terry is cheap?
  18. Are you signed out of the first one? I used it the first week and had signed in on my phone, then couldn't get my laptop to work until I specifically signed out of my phone (although it didn't give me any error message to indicate that was the problem.) I also had a similar issue, contacted customer support and they told me the issue was that my country and address needed to be updated in my account, that fixed it until I had the issue mentioned above about being logged in on multiple devices.
  19. On the one hand, EJ has an injury history and Tyrod doesn't have much of a record and is small, so keeping a QB that gives you a chance to win in the event of other injuries at the position is important. On the other hand, if that 4 million allows you to sign M.D. you probably do it.
  20. Is it possible to see how different users actual voted? How many people voting with negativo are actually negativo?
  21. Didn't read the whole thread, but I'm assuming he's not subject to waivers as a veteran?
  22. Except in the poll on the topic only about 7% seem to think so, and I'm pretty sure half of those are your different screen names.
