  1. Right, and when the thread was opened a month ago I agreed that that premise was ridiculous.
  2. When there's a football injury on a football show, that's what they're going to talk about. But I don't think they need to interrupt the football show to speculate on a hockey injury. This is going to get covered all afternoon on the 3-7 slot, and probably all morning tomorrow on Howard Simon, which is fine.
  3. To be fair (and I'd be fine with close to 50/50 hockey / football coverage) does anyone want to hear these guys speculate about Eichel for hours before we actually know anything? Sounds like torture.
  4. It does seem like the games we are absolutely supposed to win are the ones we have the most trouble with (in years past it's been against Oakland, Cleveland, Jacksonville.) Show us this year is different Bills.
  5. Real story here is a 5% chance of winning the Super Bowl. I just booked my tickets, just in case.
  6. I'm glad he's recovered well, I was worried I cursed him last year when I named my son after him and he didn't play another game.
  7. I like him as a player, but reasons this is unlikely - 1. As you mentioned, Chicago would likely want something like a 2nd back, that would be a lot to give up for a player who will likely be elsewhere next season. 2. Why will he likely be elsewhere next season? Whaley has mentioned several times how the Bills want to pay players, it does not include paying 2 #1 receivers. He's also probably not going to be thrilled to sign with a team with questions at QB in a run first offense and presumably another #1 receiver already on the roster. 3. Say we traded for him today. Chances are he doesn't play this coming week as he starts to get the playbook down, then next 2-3 weeks maybe there are a few packages where he starts to come in as he gets down the offense. Chances are he's not really a full participant until the NE game or possibly after the bye. Se we've given up a 2nd round pick for a guy who may help us in ~8 games.
  8. When something starts with "Enough with.." it doesn't really come off as an "observation." I'll get off your lawn now so you guys can keep making observations about names and kids today, yada yada yada.
  9. Why does everyone seem to think I don't understand the complaint? I understand the complaint. I think it's ridiculous. What someone would prefer to be called or displayed on their jersey has zero impact on anyone here.
  10. I understand what you're saying. You're complaining about someone's name being displayed on the back of their jersey. I think that's ridiculous.
  11. yes, it was. http://bills.buffalonews.com/2016/08/05/robey-colemans-new-name-pays-tribute-to-his-late-mom/
  12. http://www.espn.com/nfl/standings/_/view/playoff see, if the playoffs started today we'd be out by the tiebreaker. Crayonz wuz right.
  13. This could end up being a big deal, especially the new HGH tests. I remember reading that the current test in use had a very short window of catching anyone, if I understand correctly this one has a much bigger window and actually may lead to some suspensions if guys have continued to use.
  14. Besides the usual favorites, here are some (I think) under-appreciated ones. Friday the 13th IV - I'm partial to this because it's the first real horror movie I ever saw, and I couldn't close my eyes in the shower when washing my hair for months, but it's also got Crispin Glover. The Host - Korean film, I think you can stream it on Netflix, really well done monster movie. Let The Right One In - watch the original if you can, not the american remake, although I had heard the remake's not bad. Alien Resurrection - I know most people hate the 3rd and 4th installments in the series, but I like them. I especially like the comic book kind of feel to this, and Ron Perlman is great. Zombieland - more funny than scary, but it's a great movie to watch this time of year. Tusk - Kevin Smith made a good movie again. Made me squirm and laugh. The Thing - John Carpenter version - probably not under-appreciated, but I didn't see anyone else mention it.
  15. He was caught by police with it, it was not caught in a league drug test.
  16. Cardinals at 1-3 get beat by 3-1 Rams. What the hell.
  17. Has anyone posted this yet? http://deadspin.com/todd-gurley-has-nowhere-to-run-1787357593
  18. I like that Rex is making the team accountable. That said, NE's team is 3-1 and we are 2-2. Let's see if we can win more than 2 games in a row.
  19. Spanish Harlem and the East Village are 2 separate neighborhoods about 100 blocks apart. better chance of a lot of things.
