Any interest in a revised Bills Tickets and Gear forum?
Captain Caveman replied to DieHardFan's topic in The Stadium Wall
I've offered there with mixed results (typically don't get what I would through Ticketmaster resale.) I'm all for it being used more, I don't think it needs any major (or any?) changes, but it'd be good for people to know it's there. With the caveat that it could potentially be a place for chuckleheads / scammers, and no one should be buying tickets from a non-active poster - and even then buyer beware - how many of us big brains are using JAllen17 as our password for this and every other web site. -
Stubhub isn't as reliable as it used to be
Captain Caveman replied to sullim4's topic in The Stadium Wall
I bought 3 tix to the Bills preseason game, then found after the transfer that they're not in the same row. They aren't doing a great job over there. -
For anyone who is seriously interested in this topic I'd highly recommend the UFO Rabbit Hole podcast (by Kelly Chase) - it's a great starting point examining lots of different theories and possibilities of what could be going on - she raises lots of topics that sound pretty crazy, and in a lot of cases will also point out where evidence is deeply flawed or lacking, so it's not like she's advocating for most of those theories, just explaining why people might think it.

Any Bills/Sabres weekends home or away
Captain Caveman replied to freester's topic in The Stadium Wall
Doesn't look like it. Closest I saw was Thursday night / Friday night at end of October and Monday / Tuesday in November. It sucks, I live about 3 hours away, and typically make 3-4 games plus playoffs. It would be nice if they would try harder to make a Sabres / Bills weekend an option. -
Buffalo 66 came out 25 years ago yesterday
Captain Caveman replied to Another Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall
This might be the first one of the "... is 25 years old" things that makes me feel really old I love that movie -
Do we get to come back? I've always wanted to go to space. Not gonna happen tho, too old / fat to be an astronaut.

Little Help - Getting to airport after the game
Captain Caveman replied to berndog's topic in The Stadium Wall
Yeah, most years I'd say it should be ok, but I'd keep an ear out for how the construction impacts traffic this year. Worst case scenario, he may need to leave a little early. -
There was a lot of footage that seemed pretty innocuous, but he did have some footage that seemed harder to explain. I did not find him annoying, I appreciated his enthusiasm.

kind of it's not about the Bills, it's not about McDermott or Beane PFT is built on clicks and just like a lot of sports media, they'll frequently publish stuff that will drive clicks. I'm not saying he's lying, or even disingenuous, I don't know how he feels about the Bills or any other team, but it's kind of a less insane Skip Bayless or Stephen A. Smith vibe over there.

Watched a documentary called "Curse of the Man Who Sees UFOs" and it was great As much (or more) about an eccentric guy as it is about UFOs, but there's some interesting / unexplained footage as well

Lots of people change careers for lower pressure / lower hours when they "retire". My mom was an CFO for a manufacturing company when she decided to retire, within a couple years my sister opened a business and my mom works part time bookkeeping for her. My dad worked for the federal government for 30 years, he retired and still volunteers at least 20-30 hours a week. They both also babysit my sisters' kids 2-3 days a week, which honestly seems harder than any job I'd want ever again. I've been building a side business for a few years recording drums for other people's music, and when I am no longer at my current job it's my hope that it can tide me over until I hit true retirement age, but I may end up picking up something else in between as well, especially considering health insurance costs.

Pretty short list for me My first was a 1996 Geo Metro, which my parents paid ~6000$ brand new for in 1996. It had a manual transmission and I'm pretty sure the same engine they were using in Suzuki Jetskis. My girlfriend was going to school about 2 hours away (I was at Fredonia and she was at Geneseo) and it took me way too long to figure out that I was getting pulled over an inordinate amount on the thruway. I think cops probably realized how unsafe it was at high speeds (in the low 70s it would shake like a riding lawnmower) or possibly I was just a dumb kid driving too fast. I used it to get to work and school until ~2002 when I moved to NYC and sold it to a neighbor (I heard the axel snapped while he was driving not too long after.) When we moved to NJ in 2006 we bought a VW Jetta. 2012 Honda CRV 2019 Toyota Rav 4 Hybrid 2022 Hyundai Kona Electric

Yeah, I almost never park in the stadium lots, it's typically a lot easier to park in one of the private lots a little ways away (and the tailgating tends to work out better also)
