  1. Good thing they didn't have cell phone videos during the Super Bowl Years, I doubt the same crew would have been around to go to 4 straight.
  2. Very sorry to hear this, no judgement, no shame. Will be thinking and praying for your family.
  3. Some of you may remember me asking for ideas of how to convince my wife to name our son after Kyle Williams a couple years back. He's tackling now. Sorry for exposing everyone to my pasty thighs, but those are actual shorts, not underwear, so I think it's still SFW.
  4. He's got a weird obsession with losing to NFC teams to make sure he's covered when it comes to tiebreakers.
  5. With the free agent you still have all those draft picks to build a good team around him, so doesn't set you back as much. Theoretically you'd then have more $ to spend in free agency, but it's much harder IMO to build a team that way.
  6. If they don't make it I still suggest you change it. How about "The Jinx"
  7. Where is the simple math that allowed you to come up with 40% in state income taxes.
  8. In what state do you pay 20% (not to mention 30 or 40%)? In NY I believe top rate is 8.82%
  9. At this point even if we had offered a 7th Chicago's 7th is more attractive since they will likely finish with a worse record.
  10. I find it useful for a site that makes me re-login frequently and has security controls to prevent my browser from saving my password. Here it's not an issue.
  11. I think the deal is he saw Joel Cohen was attached as the write and he thought it was Joel Coen (of the Coen bros) but I think he knew it was a Garfield movie. Found it: http://www.vulture.com/2010/07/bill_murray_only_did_garfield.html
  12. They couldn't even call a timeout here unless I'm mistaken, since they had just taken one. We were just trying to confuse Matt Ryan.
  13. I grew up on the NY / Pennsylvania border, about 2.5 hours SE of Buffalo. I knew guys that flew the flag. Most of them had no family connection to the south, and most of them were racist, and were not at all shy about being racist. Again - I understand there are other reasons for displaying a Confederate flag. But in NY state, my experience has been that it is a symbol of racism.
  14. Keep deflecting - why do people who have no family ties to the south / Confederacy choose to fly the Confederate flag? You know the answer, it's just inconvenient.

  16. My point was that there are a lot of people without family connections to the Confederacy who choose to fly the flag, and it raises a lot of questions as to why they would choose that symbol. If someone who was not French decided to fly the French flag, I'd also question that as an oddity, but it doesn't piss me off quite as much since we didn't fight a war against them over owning people.
  17. Sure, it's perfectly normal to fly the flag of a defeated enemy. Everything's fine.
  18. Sure, neither does wearing a white sheet (maybe it's Halloween after all) but it bears some explaining, especially when flaunted by someone with no ties to the Confederacy.
  19. There are a lot of racists in WNY (as with pretty much everywhere else in the world.) I have a friend in Rochester who recently took a road trip down to South Carolina. He estimated that 80% of the confederate flags he saw during said trip were in the state of NY. Honestly, what is someone from NY's attachment to this flag?
  20. This one hurt. One of my favorites.
