  1. One of my earliest football memories is being at a Bills game with my family and some family friends / neighbors, and a women asked at one point: D Gate, what the hell is D Gate?
  2. And an offense capable of winning a super bowl (even being supported by a top 5 D) needs to be able to score 20 points against the 28th ranked D.
  3. One thing I don’t understand - shouldn’t it have been an illegal forward pass out of the end zone (and thus a safety?) He made a throwing motion, right, he definitely didn’t fumble it.
  4. I may have come off as too harsh on Allen - I should mention that he made quite a few spectacular plays that most qbs don’t make.
  5. Sure, but it just as easily could have been a penalty if Knox doesn't touch it or a turnover if the Texans get to it, and we had enough time on the clock to not take that risk.
  6. Exactly Also - does anyone have the actual question that he was responding to here? I think context is important. If he's answering a question about why they lost, yes, this would be out of line. I doubt that's the case. If someone asked him about Allen's performance, or some of his mistakes, I see it in a totally different light.
  7. Better Shot of the 2 lots we filled up: Quick video in the middle of things:
  8. I'm seeing a lot of folks really pissed at the perception of McDermott throwing JA under the bus. I don't see it that way. McDermott has to be the leader of this team, part of that responsibility is giving accurate and honest feedback on what they did well and what they need to do better. It doesn't always have to be public / in the media, but I bet that many players were thinking the same thing. If McDermott doesn't address it I think it lessens his credibility with the team. When Allen made that weird lateral, there was a TE nearby and you could see the exasperation on his face, like WTF! If Allen is going to be a leader as well, he needs to 1. be able to handle this kind of feedback (and probably acknowledge it himself) and 2. figure out a way to reduce the number of WTF plays.
  9. Sometimes, but if it's an empty backfield, the screen pass option is kind of taken off the table.
  10. It doesn't always have to be a run. Lots of opportunities for shorter passes and screens, and we just didn't take advantage.
  11. Yeah, what about the 2 long routes where Allen is throwing to ***** DiMarco. ARGGGHH HULK MAD
  12. Maybe, but he made the same mistakes last year, and it was also one of the biggest knocks on him in College. I'm not saying it's a fatal flaw, Kelly did some dumb things too, but we were usually good enough to overcome it.
  13. Ultimately I think Daboll put too much on Allen's shoulders today, especially in OT. I'm still so baffled by Singletary not being on the field for most of OT.
  14. You're right that it probably didn't impact the outcome, but it's a good example of the kid's brain short circuiting, and it happens too frequently.
  15. Geez, you think? Maybe it would have helped to have a running back on the field in overtime.
  16. It was not in this case, I was at the game and screaming false start before the ball was snapped.
  17. I was at the game and watched the play clock hit zero before they snapped it.
  18. Here’s the tailgate from the top of the parking garage next door. Doesn’t really capture it but it was huge, and raucous.
  19. Was this the game in 88 when they clinched the division? That was my first game, went with my Dad and Uncle. I came into the game an 8 year old Jets fan (was born in NYC) and left a Bills fan. We also left my uncle behind in the ensuing hysteria. The last playoff game I attended was the 90 AFC Champtionship game where we beat the Raiders 51-3, hoping for some similar good luck inn Houston today.
  20. I think I'm going to try to be at Pit Room when they open at 11 if anyone wants to join, then I'll probably head over to the tailgate from there.
