  1. Not to mention the cost of keeping Florence as a backup is pretty high if we think we have others who can do the job.
  2. There should be different emoticons for swearing. Sometimes it's used in more of a friendly way, and this one always comes across as angry.
  3. When playing against rookie QBs (So far in my franchise I've gone against Sanchez, Freeman, and Harrell) full out blitz on every play. I had nine sacks just for Maybin against Freeman.
  4. I think you probably should probably move on to the next thread if this isn't for you. Obviously there are more than a few on here who enjoy fantasy football and don't mind discussing it.
  5. It depends how much return yards are valued in your league, but I've had good luck with the Buffalo D, although I usually select them in the later rounds. They also could have some great games this year against a few teams with really shaky offenses (Tampa Bay, Cleveland, Jets, Kansas City, Carolina, and to a lesser extent Miami.)
  6. I hope he does, actually, because that would be hilarious.

  8. Is Segal really not involved at all? Because several media reports have identified Segal as his agent.
  9. Was on he on the sidelines last week? Is he traveling with the team this week? Anybody know?
  10. not in my experience. i was referring to taking pleasure in the misfortune of others.
  11. I didn't realize that about Smith, but overall my point remains. Most of these players who are not complete busts play out their rookie contract, so guaranteed money is not as important as the total value of the contract. It's not like the Haynesworth deal where there's no way he'll see the last few years worth of salary. Granted, the guaranteed money is a factor if the kid is a total bust, but when he's signing that contract, I hope that's the last thing on his mind. Bills last draft picks to not play out their rookie contracts: McGahee (traded) Mike Williams (played 4 of 6 years)
  12. SAT question: Sanyo is to Sony, as the Buffalo Bills are to the NY Giants ?
  13. Read it again. I understand that if he doesn't play out the contract he doesn't get paid. I'm pointing out that even the biggest 1st round busts, with the largest contracts tend to play out their entire contracts. With this in mind, I don't pay that much attention to guaranteed money for first round rookie contracts. How am I agreeing with you?
  14. I understand that guaranteed money is important when looking at contracts in the NFL, but it's just very rare for a team to give up on a first round draft pick before their first contract is up.
  15. I could not disagree more. If you look at 1st round picks in the last ten years, how many have not played out their entire rookie contract? Even Alex Smith is still collecting from the 49ers.
  16. If true, this link makes it seem as though the offer was a little on the low side, at least when compared with what Moreno got at pick #12. 10% over mckelvin's contract ($19.4 million) would be $21,340,000 Not sure how accurate, as other sources are reporting the 25/5 numbers.
