  1. They justify it with a Tight End who couldn't practice all week due to injury. Seems reasonable to me. And it wouldn't surprise me if they let Jenkins know ahead of time, and also let him know that they'll look to re-sign him at some point if they have the opportunity.
  2. I was wondering if folks in the league office threw him a bone there, more than him actually having info from the Bills, or Walker's agent. Seems like he's been wrong so often, the NFL might have to start propping him up a little when it can.
  3. Yeah, I know, I'm the first one that reported that, but after seeing some others saying they had an email from support stating that the games started 1 hour after broadcast I figured it was worth the 40$ risk. I wouldn't be surprised if they already had a stipulation in their tv contracts that they couldn't offer something like this during live games.
  4. So I was just testing to see if I could get some of the 1:00 games, and it looks like games won't be available until all games are over on Sunday. This sucks.
  5. when keeping it real goes wrong: http://www.metacafe.com/watch/778846/when_...eal_goes_wrong/
  6. 1. Lions 2. I get your point, but it's far more likely that they are starting slugs, and have dying slugs on the practice squad. Besides which, getting one guard, even if he is a stud, isn't going to solve all our problems.
  7. Jaws is an idiot. Took longer than expected, huh? But seriously, this worries me a little, only because I can't remember Jaws ever not liking an offense before. Seems like usually if he doesn't have anything nice to say, he doesn't say anything at all. We'll see.
  8. I'm not sure how my post amounts to parroting. You started out this thread in a pretty antagonistic fashion and it's only getting worse. If you want to call me a bird-brain, or a parrot, or any other slew of names because I haven't watched any Ole Miss games recently, and don't have any game tape at my disposal right now, then that's fine. I don't have any problem keeping what I think of you to myself. In any case, I'm not saying that your guy won't be a good player. I know that lots of guys start out on the practice squad and end up as good or great pros. What I am saying is that you seem to be indicating that a practice squad from from one of the worst teams in the league is the answer to our O-line problems, ignoring the fact that we pretty much have 5 unknowns across the line. And that's hilarious.
  9. I don't know and haven't made any claims either way. But I think it's hilarious that you're calling out people for speculating that he's not the answer, then going on to speculate that he is the answer.
  10. Yes, the answers to all of our O-line woes reside with the KC Chiefs practice squad.
  11. You're right that he is not a solution at LT. But I really don't think L. Jones is the solution there either.
  12. Yeah, if we could play the Lions all 16 games we might sneak into the playoffs.
  13. The moral of the story here is, you can't please all of the people all of the time. For CookieMonster, he's got too quick to praise. For cmjoyce and LF, he's too harsh. I just don't like the sound of his voice. It's like nails on the chalkboard.
  14. Finnegan got blown up a couple of times last night, I think he might be having nightmares for a while now...
  15. I keep seeing this posted, and I just don't think it's that relevant. If he gets hurt, we still have to pay him for the rest of the season (as with any player, regardless of veteran status.) It's only if we cut him that we don't pay him, and I really don't see us finding a better tackle mid-season (unless he's hurt, in which case it's a moot point.)
  16. I'm pretty sure they're ranking the teams, not they're fans, so I'm not sure how the color of our blood is relevant. I do see that the page says fan rankings, but it also gives you an option to give your own ranking, so I think that's what it's referring to. Plus there's no way some of these guys are ranking our fanbase below Jacksonville.
  17. BTW, Tarkus, I've been meaning to comment on your name / avatar for a while now. I listened to that album at a friend's house a few months ago, and it was pretty sweet.
  18. One big benefit of having Runyan on the team would be having him as a mentor to our young guys. There's something special about a guy who has played as many games as he has at a pretty high level; hopefully some of that work ethic would carry through to the rest of the line. It couldn't hurt, anyway.
  19. I particularly enjoyed when he called out the officials for not calling a penalty after a Steelers D-Lineman lost his helmet after making a tackle. Replays clearly showed that his helmet popped off, he didn't actually remove it.
  20. You realize he was probably talking about Walker, right?
  21. If he doesn't report to the Raiders, then he certainly will be back at the service of the team who traded him. I don't think anyone is arguing against that. If nobody has his services for a week, then it sucks for the two teams that were involved in the trade, but I wouldn't expect the NFL to get involved and lay blame, or dish out reparations. I think this poster was just pointing out to the original poster that it's absurd to think that the Patriots would get both the draft pick and Seymour. It's going to be one or the other.
  22. Did he suspend the dude who took out Brady's knee last year? (I'm actually asking a legitimate question here, I don't know the answer.)
  23. uh, you may be able to get away with it, but i'm pretty sure it is not at all legal.
