  1. I agree it sounds more impressive than it really is. Still for a guy who most thought would be camp fodder, it's pretty amazing.
  2. I don't think it's silly to suggest this when we also have a guy who gained 2500 yards last year and a number 9 pick who's looking pretty good. And to top it off Marshawn is one strike away from a lengthy suspension. If I actually thought we could get anything for him, I'd say trade him.
  3. I believe there is an option to show the scores or not. Also, I saw in the news today that for the first time this year, the Sunday ticket package will be available as an online only package for $350 per year (in case money grows and trees and you can't wait the extra 8 hours.)
  4. Then some years, that guy (say former Division 3 and NFL Europe player Fred Jackson) has the 4th most all-purpose yards by any player in league history. Not saying Joyk will make it, but it's a little silly to dismiss what he's done thus far. He's looked like a complete monster, and I hope they give him a few reps with the first teamers this week.
  5. Welcome back, and good luck with the recovery. What the heck is going on with our Bills?
  6. 1st of all, let me say that with all sincerity, I think you're stretching to make a point that's not there. "I've been asked that question many times and I've always said always, I'd never move the team from Buffalo," Wilson said. "Now, with this new CBA, I'm hopeful I can steadfastly adhere to what I said, but I'm making no promises." Your earlier post made it sound like he constantly threatens to move the team. This is from 4 years ago. Is it the best you could find? And he's making a point that the new CBA is bad for small market teams. He didn't threaten to move the team, or say that the Bills are in trouble. He says he had promised never to move the team in the past, and hopes he can stick to that promise.
  7. Saying that the new CBA was not good for small market teams is very different than saying the Bills are in trouble. The Bills have done ok financially because they haven't spent as much money on players, and because they have no debt, which is not the case for a lot of franchises. Please, go ahead and find a statement by Ralph Wilson that says the Bills are in trouble (financially.)
  8. Fire and brimstone coming down from the sky! Rivers and seas boiling! Forty years of darkness! Earthquakes, volcanoes... The dead rising from the grave! Human sacrifice! Dogs and cats living together! Mass hysteria!
  9. It's like, how much more black could this be? and the answer is none. None more black.
  10. I've never heard him say this. I'd challenge you to find anything in writing where he's said as much.
  11. I had asked Tim Graham this and he said there would definitely still be a draft. He didn't get into what would happen for 2012, but I think most people are assuming they will salvage some of the 2011 season, so the 2012 rules likely wouldn't be changed.
  12. No, a lockout is likely. A player strike is not.
  13. Not as many billions at stake for the owners, since their TV contract is guaranteed even in the event of a lockout. They're likely to profit more from a lockout, since they won't have to pay the players.
  14. I agree that Cutler may end up being a giant turd a la Jeff George, but it's hard to blame the Broncos 2008 8-8 season on him. The team was 2nd in the NFL (1st in the AFC) in total offense (yards per game) and 3rd in total passing. He had 25 TDs and 18 INTs, which is not the greatest ratio, but with those yards, and any kind of defense they should have been a playoff team. Unfortunately, they were a terrible defensive team. They were 29th in Defense (Total Yards) and 30th (Scoring.)
  15. "He was a pretty quiet guy," said Zeppy Benavides, who lives next door. .... He said his neighbor would fire handguns into the air on Christmas and the Fourth of July.
  16. Just looked it up, according to Rotoworld it's 2.3 mil.
  17. Generally blackout rules do apply to preseason, but I think I remember from last year that all the Toronto games count as sold out. Can anyone confirm?
  18. The article also mentions that they are looking for someone who is dirt cheap. I believe Fitz is signed for $3 mil.
