There have to be some more Bills fans in NJ who don't want to make the trip into the city to McFaddens. There are a few bars with Sunday ticket, but as a lone Bills fan I usually get stuck in a corner somewhere if I can get a TV at all. I'm thinking if we could get a group together, we can get some better TV space, and also I won't have to get a dirty look after trying to high five the waitress / bartender.

Anybody who is crazy enough to privately fund a new stadium for the Bills would run the franchise into the ground. Like really, into the ground, not the mediocre teams of the last few years. There's absolutely no way a new stadium in Buffalo is profitable, regardless of who builds it.

Before you question the reading comprehension of others, please go back and review. No one is arguing with you that we should be worried about the opposing team. Other posters have stated that no one here is "worried" about the opposing players. Other posters have stated that a lot of fans (regardless of how good their team is) like to be aware of what is happening with the opposing team. Back in the Bills Super Bowl years, it was still news if an opposing starter was hurt. It's not about a lack of confidence, it's about having a deeper understanding of what's happening during the game. If Maybin does get a sack, I'm not going to get as excited.

What does promo have to do with this thread? There's one brand new poster who keeps spewing nonsense about how if the bills were good enough, no one would care. Everyone else seems to think that most fans are interested in knowing about who on the opposing team will be playing (and playing at full strength).

There are very few Mannings and Favres who play every game every season. Most QBs get injured and miss some time, and that is the backup's opportunity. Anyone playing behind Edwards should expect to see some playing time. But if Brohm couldn't beat out Fitzpatrick for the #2 spot, I'm not optimistic about his chances.

How long does a guy have the benefit of "potential" and "upside"? He has shown exactly enough to be the third string qb on a team who many are predicting to be bottom 5 in the league this season.

You're right. There's no direct financial incentive for the Bills in drafting this kid (other than if he helps them win games and sell tickets.) One disclaimer, I believe the Bills get to keep all profits from jerseys sold at the stadium, so if we start getting planeloads of Chinese into the Ralph, then you might be on to something.

Schefter is a tool, but I doubt he is just making things up. It's more likely that Arizona is making things up in order to generate some interest in a trade. (Otherwise, any team who is interested is just going to wait until they cut him.) In the end, I doubt it will matter since he hasn't played up to his contract.
