    I agree with NoSaint, it's not any different from any other job, so it really doesn't fit nicely into either category IMO. It's your right to look for work, and negotiate terms; it's an employer's right to decide who to hire, for what position, and at what salary.

    So you're saying they shouldn't treat them with humanity. Gotcha. My post was just pointing out that it seems silly to me that they've brought in monks for an exorcism, but not thought about cutting back on mandatory overtime, or allowing the workers to chat now and then.

    Don't know how they can seriously even ask for a team when they can't fill the Rogers Center for one game a year.

    I'd say it's about as relevant as comparing him to Vince Wilfork. Wilfork had production in college against quality teams. Larsen and Jasper do not.

    We could be special... or we could be especially terrible (if say Jasper, Merriman, and Shephard don't work out, and Poz is either not resigned, or ends up injured.) My guess is somewhere in between. I think Dareus is a great start, and I'm optimistic about Jasper's potential, but I think our odds are analogous to picking up 4 cards when playing 5 card draw.

    If they play under the old rules I believe another team would have to give up a 1st round pick in order to sign him if we do not match the offer. Or, we keep him for another year at a relatively low salary.

    He was 20. IMO, I don't want any qb that tranfers after not winning a job (especially after only his Sophomore season.) I want the qb comes back the next year and works his ass off to win the job.
