  1. Only the, uh, city has just passed another tax on puffy directing pants.
  2. I definitely read that as Brian Fellows. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dAKwasvVx8s
  3. The reason this thread comes up on Google is because it's one of the very few instances of that "word" being used. Because it's not a word. You can't misuse something that doesn't exist. My mind is blown.
  4. Tuel's chances of becoming a regular starter in the NFL are approximately the same as mine. Kolb is no longer in Arizona. It's not because he played well. Your leaps of faith are astounding. Good luck.
  5. Yup. They are not going to take snaps from Manuel based on 1 game, they are looking at the sum of the OTAs, training camp, etc... to make a decision.
  6. I like Jets under. I expect them to completely self destruct this year.
  7. If there's one thing we should all agree on, it's that there will never be anything that we can all agree on.

  9. It's this, and it's more than this. Marrone is trying to change the direction and attitude of a team that's been losing for a long time. His job will be a lot harder if he starts making different rules for different players depending on talent, star status, etc.... Everyone's got to be held to the same standard.
  10. From the BN article this morning: I don't think he's wrong. I'm happy the kid didn't look out of place, but we've seen lots of players look great against backups. I'm waiting until he starts winning some meaningful games before I get my hopes up.
  11. Yes, heard the same thing, and was not surprised he didn't get a lot of opportunities. Based on Marrone's reputation and what I've heard about Rogers thus far in the year I will be surprised if he makes the team.
  12. I think Marrone's priority is going to be getting guys that really buy into what he is trying to do. I remember reading the stories of how dozens of players at Syracuse left (apparently of their own volition) with the suggestion being he pushed the weak links out. There are obviously different parameters here, but I think if there are veterans who don't give 100% effort and commitment (or rookies for that matter - Da'rick I'm looking at you) they will be gone. With that said, I also think he understands the benefit of having established veterans with the right attitude who can show these rookies how it's supposed to be done. My personal opinion is that most of our veterans do fall into this category, although unfortunately it hasn't really been combined with the talent to win football games.
  13. Unlike all the players who weren't showcased who went on to play really well.
  14. In general, people who are smart enough to run a city that f-d up are also smart enough to find much better jobs.
  15. Jim? http://laist.com/2013/07/23/man_accused_of_trying_to_run_bicycl.php
  16. Yeah, all the Griese comparisons give Brady away.
  17. I'm sure he's knocking our door down, maybe he can play QB?
  18. Derrick Dockery signed a 7 year contract in 2007 and was cut in 2009. You can't "tender" someone who is already under contract. Our options were to overpay him as per his contract or cut him.
