  1. To be honest, the current incarnation of Sabres Hockey Hotline does kind of suck because Kevin Sylvester is ingratiating as a host and utterly ill informed on the finer points of the game. Andrew Peters adds nothing but hot air. If Brian Duff were the regular host, I'd listen every day. My selfish personal preference would be that the Bills show ran from 10-Noon--- but, that's not practical for a variety of reasons: I think John Murphy airs at night because the Bills practice during the day, giving him daily topics to discuss with adequate prep time--- the Sabres generally play at 7pm, so it is totally logical for them to NOT do a simultaneous talk show. Of course, I prefer Hockey Hotline to air as an extended postgame show as in the days of Mike Robitaille and Brian Blessing. But neither WGR nor the Bills/Sabres check with me first before setting their programming schedule.
  2. Weren't the Bills asked to participate 2-3 years ago and they refused?
  3. You're trying pretty hard to be bothered by nothing--- especially if you saw it live in all it's innocuousness.
  4. How is he still eligible?* Jeff Russo ‏@JeffRussoWKBW 15s Source: Bills are expected signed QB Dennis Dixon to practice squad *(apparently, he only spent 1 season on Pittsburgh's Practice Squad and has only been active for 4 total games--- so, he still has PS eligibility)
  5. The full exchange was a lighthearted postgame conversation between Kiko and his college teammate and friend, TJ Ward. Kiko wasn't "talking trash" but he also wasn't going to give any ground to his friend. That's all. It went like this: Ward to Alonso: we're a better team though. Alonso: we lost our QB. Ward: we lost our QB too. Alonso: I don't know, your offense is suspect. Ward: it was a good game.
  6. You're right, he should have committed seppuku at midfield. It would be the honorable thing to do.
  7. Jason La Canfora ‏@JasonLaCanfora 22s Josh Freeman is going to MIN. Expect him to be starting there soon. BUF signing Pat White. OAK wanted Freeman and had visit set w/White Mon
  8. ProFootballTalk ‏@ProFootballTalk 37s Josh Freeman is going to the Vikings per league source.
  9. That new bit at the end is very telling. The combination of the D getting healthy and the Pats & Dolphins both losing is blood in the water for Whaley/Marrone. If nothing else, it will motivate the roster.
  10. Adam Schefter ‏@AdamSchefter 51s From @mortreport and me: Bills intensifying efforts Sunday night to sign former Bucs QB Josh Freeman. Vikings, Raiders also interested.
  11. Kluwe is better at this point, but maybe they have more confidence in Moorman's ability to punt in the elements. Kluwe punted in a dome--- I have no idea how well he kicked late in the year in Green Bay, Chicago, etc.
  12. By mere seconds!
  13. Jason La Canfora ‏@JasonLaCanfora 5m In addition to working out QBs Pat White and Dennis Dixon, I hear exBills P Brian Moorman is in the building. Hmm, they just cut a punter... Jason La Canfora ‏@JasonLaCanfora1m I think they might end up playing some Peaches and Herb while eating chicken wings at the Bills' facility today with Moorman
  14. According to Schefter, the Bills are talking to Freeman: http://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/9777191/buffalo-bills-working-qbs-pat-white-dennis-dixon-source-says
  15. Clearly there are hordes of Tebow fans drooling over his future career prospects, but there were not 15,000 Tebow jerseys attending Jets games, nor would there have been in New England.
  16. The idea that there are 15,000 fans out there disinclined to attend a Bills' game save for a Tebow signing is absolutely batshit crazy on it's face. If I were a Bills player and management brought in Tebow, I'd feel as though they were simultaneously throwing the entire team to the wolves and under the bus.
  17. Wow, is Easley good on special teams.
  18. You're right, Spiller has never gotten yards. But which is it--- Spiller is always injured or Fred is injured twice as often but it doesn't matter?
  19. Spiller isn't injured about twice as often as Fred Jackson.
  20. May the Browns defense be "run on" tomorrow night as much as each of your sentences.
  21. There's no way Cameron is for sale. How on earth is a 3rd and a 5th going to return anywhere near the value that Cameron provides on the field? Gordon would easily fetch a 1st round pick+. His upside is astronomical and he's a WR in his 2nd season--- easily 10-12 productive years left in his career. It's pretty unlikely they'll trade him, anyhow.
  22. And really: this. He wasn't the right guy as a Head Coach. Unfortunately, for anyone really pining after Chan, being the HC would come with that package. I prefer Marrone so far.
  23. I'm curious what Chan would do with EJ Manuel. Reportedly, he liked Cam Newton, Russell Wilson and Ryan Tannehill--- not that they're identical to EJ, but I bet he had some plans drawn up that they couldn't run with Fitz.
  24. Getting 2 first downs and punting is still making first downs and is not a pace or tempo related solution to extending drives. Right?
  25. Maybe we don't use one because we don't have one that can block consistently. Summers whiffs as often as he connects.
