  1. The quotes aren't visible on the mobile site--- you need to click 'full site' at the bottom on a mobile device to see them.
  2. I wonder if he's a Marrone fan? Of course, he wasn't a below .500 coach prior to the Jets' 4-12 season. Dietsch is a 'Buffalo guy'--- lived in WNY and worked in radio there. He always sings the praises of the region, FWIW.
  3. Bill Callahan drawing interest from Rex, presumably for OL: @MMehtaNYDN: Rex Ryan is interested in Buffalo RT @RapSheet: Cowboys OC/OL coach Bill Callahans contract is up.
  4. Vic Carucci‏@viccarucci2 mins2 minutes ago Although deal between Rex Ryan & #Bills still yet to be signed, I'm told there's no concern it won't happen. Should be done Monday. Vic Carucci‏@viccarucci7 mins7 minutes ago No timeframe yet for press conference introducing Rex Ryan as next head coach of #Bills, source said.
  5. @Fred22Jackson: Excited about the hire of Rex!! Great coach to come in and keep us moving in the right direction!
  6. @sammywatkins: Can't wait gotta love REX RYAN 💯💯💯 http://t.co/FpEPW9H1kk @EWood70: Love the hire!
  7. @viccarucci: The #Bills have "every intention" of keeping DC Jim Schwartz, just told by high-ranking team source.
  8. @RapSheet: Trestman or Roman RT @KimJonesSports: DC Dennis Thurman is expected to join Bills. Rex expected to hire an OC who was not on staff with NYJ.
  9. Yes, St. Louis got permission but I'm not sure if he interviewed there yet. Definitely did interview in Cleveland, though.
  10. Roman has been granted permission to interview for other open OC positions in the League. It appears to be a formality that San Fran would let him walk, unlike (apparently) Schwartz in Buffalo.
  11. Just a thought... Rex has the same agent as Marrone. Also the same agent as Adam Schefter. Not surprising that Schef would be the first to reports this*, especially for those that remember how the Marrone news first came out way back when he was hired. *well, second after Leroi! I realize Buffalo isn't NYC or LA, but those types of comments are just ignorant tripe.
  12. If that was worded that way intentionally by Mehta--- mad propers.
  13. If you look at the Sabres record over the past few years, it is reasonable to be concerned with Pegula's ownership. However, the high level prospect group is evidence of a plan to build from scratch--- hence the poor record. It shouldn't necesarily make anyone feel better about the Bills, but it should prove the wins and losses are not the result of incompetence but rather a measured attempt to ship out vets and retool through the draft.
  14. Why would you bother to make the point that Marrone was responsible for player personnel if the specific players acquired during his tenure are irrelevant to the team's success? You're moving the goalposts and nothing more. Ordinarily, when someone is wrong and cannot articulate further they will repeat the same point over and over. 9-7!
  15. Which contributing players were added to the defense while Marrone was HC--- Brandon Spikes, Corey Graham, Jerry Hughes, Preston Brown, maybe Nickell Robey? Is that group what made the D a top 5 unit? Even if Marrone were responsible for them solely, that doesn't cut it.
  16. You are repeatedly and emphatically foisting credit for the Bills greatest strength upon Marrone when there is little to no evidence he deserves it-- meanwhile, ignoring all of the areas of his responsibility and positional expertise which were arguably disastrous.
  17. That was the Pats before they were the Pats*, though. Then again, the Jets would actually need to hire Doug and I don't know that adequate proof exists of tampering.
  18. Speaking of ridiculous speculation, how do you know Marrone had input to personnel decisions but didn't say so publicly?
  19. The Cardinals didn't get to the playoffs with a "guy like Orton", though. Drew Stanton and Ryan Lindley lost 5 of the Cards final 7 games after Carson Palmer was hurt.
  20. @ByTimGraham: Bills have scheduled interviews with Seahawks coordinators Darrell Bevell and Dan Quinn.
  21. @ByTimGraham: Bills have scheduled interviews with Seahawks coordinators Darrell Bevell and Dan Quinn.
  22. @RapSheet: The #Bills are on the board in their head-coaching search, requesting permission to speak with #Broncos OC Adam Gase, source said.
