  1. Of course, it isn’t intended as a sleight by the NFL in any way but big tough guys need to feel victimized as motivation. Even Brady used the “us against the world” mantra when the Patriots* were overwhelming favorites.
  2. Rather than take Mixon’s words at face value I’m waiting for Caesar to interpret them for me.
  3. I think it’s rooted in the need for so many to believe their priors were correct on Josh. Despite all the evidence to the contrary, he simply must be regressing to what so many believed him to be coming into the League.
  4. It's possible Skylar may be more "talented" than Huntley but Huntley is probably the better QB right now. Neither are very good.
  5. Yes, it is strange. The only reasoning I can wrap my head around is the AFC North was at stake for Bengals-Ravens but ultimately the stakes were the same for both scenarios: hosting a playoff game.
  6. Those of us that want you to go away feel that way because you’re being rude and obnoxious. If I’m “mocking” you it’s because your arrogance is off putting and unearned. You've created a self perpetuating cycle. You post something rude and obnoxious, a Bills fan responds negatively then you play the victim. Over and over.
  7. You’re condescending and obnoxious. There are several fans of other teams that we consider part of this community because they don’t start ***** and then play victim. You’re blindingly biased toward the Bengals, which is fine—- but you post those biased opinions here and accuse Bills fans of being “fragile” (clearly a projection, which is why you can’t stop posting until you prove us all wrong) or not knowledgeable about football when they disagree so realistically, you’re just a troll.
  8. Seems a little fragile to me, but what do I know, I’m no genius. I’m just a Bills fan on a Bills message board.
  9. Yes, it has hurt me because I’m fragile. You’re just here talking football, after all. Relentlessly arguing on an opposing team’s message board like a very normal person. Nothing weird about your very weird behavior!
  10. Oberlin’s an interesting name.
  11. You should go there to discuss it instead of here.
  12. The older I get the more I realize the opinions of pundits are all warped by extreme recency bias. I can't enjoy it anymore because they think they see something in "the film" and then need to find a way to retroactively explain why it happened. What makes it even more infuriating is how it's all delivered in a snide, authoritative tone as though they're handing down cherished wisdom of the ages from the gods. Obviously, there is thoughtful and informed analysis but the vast majority of take givers are a waste.
  13. The Bengals were a joke from 1991 until recently. Even the Marvin Lewis years were generally underwhelming. Now, they're the defending AFC Champs and the Steelers are in a rare downturn so their goldfish memories have kicked in.
  14. Yeah, I don’t get the hate. He was the first Bill I recall speaking up on behalf of Josh Allen during his rookie year and he wrote a really beautiful send off in the Player’s Tribune when he left Buffalo.
  15. I do appreciate the premise of this thread: ”Oh, you thought a thing? Well, another guy doesn’t.”
  16. This makes sense but it isn't clear to the viewing audience or anyone in the stadium. Even the announcers are confused. Maybe displaying the play clock in tenths of a second would provide clarity.
  17. Which is unfortunate because he isn't dimwitted outside of PBP, he's a relatively smart and insightful broadcaster when discussing the Bills in a different context. It just doesn't rise to the surface in the moment.
  18. At the very least, the official tasked with observing the play clock has a buzzer so they don't need to eyeball both the clock and the snap.
  19. I'll always have a soft spot for Murph, he's been involved in Bills broadcasts my entire life! His voice is as inextricably linked to Buffalo Bills football as anything, as far as I'm concerned. HOWEVER--- I haven't been a big fan of his PBP. I can't really think of a single memorable call since he took over for Van 20 years ago (although, arguably, it's been slim pickings until the past 5 years!).
