  1. Cook appeared to respond just fine as soon as he stepped back onto the field. Whether or not there's any longterm impact remains to be seen. The only leeway I can give McD is if he checked in on Cook and felt he needed more time to focus. I'm not suggesting that was the case, but it's ultimately the only acceptable reason in my mind.
  2. These guys are unstoppable (where have they been?).
  3. Murray would've been better off dropping the pass.
  4. I wonder if Gabe Davis will get benched.
  5. It wasn't over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor, so this checks out.
  6. Thank you, it's about time somebody held Gregg accountable. His inability to focus on Denver could cost us.
  7. If he stays close to his current pace, he may shatter it.
  8. It's definitely not over at 5-4, but the defense is in a big hole due to the injuries. If Linval Joseph and Rasul Douglas can do well and everyone else that's banged up is okay for the bulk of the season, it's doable.
  9. Having already lost Tre the week prior, it definitely felt to me like the season was completely derailed when we lost Milano and Daquan in London. I'm ever the optimist, though, so I'm game for a backs against the wall, season on the brink string of improbable victories. Miami is 6-3, despite the difficult schedule, I think the East is in play. That has to be the goal due to the tiebreakers.
  10. Sobering, it's an excellent analysis. I think the measuring stick for a lot of us as Bills fans is Tom Brady and even Patrick Mahomes. Sustained excellence over an expanded timeline isn't typical or realistic, especially in this era of the NFL.
  11. I'm clearly not advocating for Ben Johnson, I'm questioning the logic of his HC candidacy. I also don't think Daboll makes sense so I don't know if I'm the person you meant to respond to.
  12. That's a good question, I've seen him do some interviews every now and then discussing his time with Josh but I don't know if they still speak. Then again, I don't know how common it is for an NFL veteran to continue that sort of mentorship.
  13. IMHO, listening to Josh speak about the nuances of offensive scheme, et al, it certainly seems like he's studying. The work he's put in to improve his game all through college and in past offseasons with Jordan Palmer and so forth has become the stuff of legend. None of that means he's actually putting in all the requisite work, but I see no evidence to the contrary.
  14. The idea behind Ben Johnson is interesting because there's no evidence he'd make a good HC. I'm not saying it's impossible, but why is anyone confident he possesses the requisite skills and intangibles for the job? Because he calls a good game for Detroit's offense?
  15. Dorsey is a creative play designer, but he struggles with personnel and tone. Daboll was masterful with those elements, able to read the ebb and flow of his players' inner workings and mood. It isn't easy, but great coaches are more than Xs and Os.
  16. In a Bizarro world, Daboll as HC and McDermott as DC might have worked, but Daboll's ship in Buffalo has sailed. If he's fired in New Jersey he's getting an OC job somewhere, and it ain't here.
  17. I sure hate to read what @DismalFuture has to say 😶
  18. I'll concede the injuries on D stack the deck against us but the blitzing is insane. Come on.
  19. I get it, but they're 1 game back and only need to keep pace and win in Miami. Things look bleak now but there's time to right the ship.
  20. The Bills will probably still win the AFC East, but there's a lot to tighten up.
  21. I am not sober, but I feel similar.
