Starting with a Friday game on opening night of high school football season never helps boost attendance for a program that should aim to cater to WNY football fans beyond the Amherst campus. But Saturday games don't do great, either. 42 percent from Metro NY and a mere 17 percent of undergrad students are from WNY. It's a good point. There's a lot to be said for a student body that grew up cheering for the program. There's almost none of that at UB. Definitely part of the issue. Anyway, Go Bulls! - class of '03.
