Opinion: Bills SHOULD hire Doug Pederson as assistant HC
uticaclub replied to MrEpsYtown's topic in The Stadium Wall
Its not going to change. The last time McD hired an experienced OC, he tried to kill him after his defense lost the :13 game. McD is going to play it safe and only hire coordinators and assistants he has complete control over -
They won a ring with him

good comments from Bills players in this new Athletic piece
uticaclub replied to dave mcbride's topic in The Stadium Wall
McDermott could potentially lead a better team to a Super Bowl, but he's closely tied to Beane, whose draft classes have repeatedly failed and who has wasted money on free agents who hardly see the field or get cut in training camp. As a result, we may have reached our peak. -

Hot Take: Does Bobby Babich Lose His Job?

Isn't the Special Teams Coordinator the one being blamed this time? -
He should receive a contract extension by the middle of the upcoming season. If one is not announced by the end of the season, it would mean he’s gone, and the Bills will start the new stadium without Josh but with four Beane selected first-round draft picks instead. It's not just about the money; he understands that the team isn’t willing to make the same sacrifices he is to win a championship. Firing Beane and McDermott will be difficult, but sometimes you have to make tough decisions, just like running through a linebacker.

The Titans were the worst team in the league. Everyone looked good against them. He isn't fast enough to beat any defender, so he has to rely on hand fighting at the line & was not very good at the 50/50 balls he was supposed to excel at. I hope he makes the jump next year and proves me wrong, but he's an athlete, not a football player; acceptable for college, not so much in the NFL. They cared more about his personality than his ability on the field. His drop rate was the same as Gabe Davis's without the periodical big games.

Wide Receiver Train Full Speed Ahead- CHOO CHOO!
uticaclub replied to Pete's topic in The Stadium Wall
Josh played well enough to win, but no one else on the team did. -
It was a virtue signing. Can't think of how bad our secondary would have been if he wasn’t around for this playoff run.

What if he says no and wants to honor his existing contract? Beane has mentioned that he doesn't want to restructure Josh's contract every year, but he has done every year. This could be a year where restructuring doesn't take place. -

Allen might be done restructuring without another long term deal.
