I believe one of the announcers mentioned that the kick may have been tipped due to it being such a bad miss, but I haven't seen a replay confirming this. In my opinion, Bass doesn't seem to have confidence when kicking from the left hashmark. I hope he got injured during the kick and will have to go on IR. At this point, he's a liability.
I know, I’m well aware Tony Dungy and Jim Caldwell went to the same number of Super Bowls, but I’m not calling for anyone’s head until the offseason and I hope we win the Super Bowl with the guys we have.
Right now, after week 1, yes, that wouldn’t be a great idea. It is a different story after another playoff exit and executing a trade with KC to give them a weapon they coveted so that we could have another 5th-round pick.
No one is having a temper tantrum. We could both come up with examples of positive and negative regime changes or we could enjoy being 1-0 and see what happens with the season.
Neither of us have 20 years guaranteed that's why I want to win now. McD and Beane did some great things, but the ultimate goal is the Super Bowl and there's now more than enough reasonable speculation to suggest its time to move on. We are 1-0, maybe this is our year
We’ll see how the season plays out. They should go if the roster looks weak outside of Josh, and we lose in the Divisional Round again. I am not giving McD a lifetime pass for going 9-7 in 2017 or Beane for picking Josh. We see how Josh plays; he isn’t going to play into his late 30s, so we need to win now. I’m hoping we win the Super Bowl and everyone keeps their job.
He looked better as the game went on. I watched him in the first half, and he still looked bad. Something flipped in the second half, for him and the rest of the team. Chris Jones bull-rushing Dawkins into Allen was the play of the game in the Division Championship.
Allen just didn’t go down because he is a beast
Belichick, 2nd team
Cowher, made a Super Bowl before winning it
Coughing, 2nd team
Landry & Madden were pre Free Agency
Dungy, 2nd team. Bucs & Colts both went to the Super Bowl the year after he left.
For some additional context
We don't have the numbers yet to make that statement. Yes, Star was a terrible contract but Miller, Knox, Bass & Diggs could arguably be worse for the Bills.
