  1. I love Thurman. Don't get me wrong. Incredible running back who had quickness, versatility and great vision. That being said, I think that Thurman benefited greatly from the Bills offensive philosophy, dangerous passing game and incredible beast of an Oline. Thurman is not nearly as productive without those factors...
  2. Bruce Smith hands down. One of the most feared and productive DE's in history playing out of a 3-4. Incredible! Imagine what this guy could have done in a 4-3?!?
  3. Absolutely. If he gets slapped with this no question he will hold out.
  4. Something that is def overlooked by a lot of folks, including myself.
  5. Valid concern. But sometimes teams and personnel just respond well to change. Chan has won everywhere he has been thus far (on whole). And if he brings us some 9-7 seasons where we are competitive, that is at least a step in the right direction. I didn't mean to come off like a jerk. Glad that you are on board!
  6. Whats done is done. Chan Gailey is our coach. Get behind him and Buddy or don't. Would it make you feel better if he was making 9 Million a year or 1 million?
  7. I don't agree with you on Williams and Butler. Both have improved significantly each year. In terms of McKelvin you may be right. Time will tell.
  8. I agree with you on everything aside from Mike Gandy. Gandy is a serviceable if not solid starter who has done very well at LT in Arizona. Also, at the time bringing in Dockery and Walker seemed like great moves. We were all applauding that he was finally addressing the Oline. Unfortunately things did not work out, but at the time they were highly sought after FA's. I was a big proponent of Marv. But in hindsight, I have to say that I was wrong and that he was simply not a good GM. I do however, think that his performance would not seem nearly as dismal if he had brought in a coach with a half way decent coaching staff. But again, this was his decision and he whiffed big time. Hopefully Nix does a better job at the helm (Personally I think he is a top 5 talent evaluator in the league.)
  9. Your right about this. There is still a lot of money in WNY. Goliasano, the Rich's, Wegman's Family etc.
  10. Oline and Dline. Maybe LB. Take care of the trenches and work on the rest through FA and in the future.
  11. I change my vote to Dib!!!
  12. I found Buffalo Soldiers avatar arousing.
  13. I actually have. I was simply using that as an example. If you would like some additional references as to his arm strength feel free to check out the links provided below... http://www.kffl.com/article.php/102154/386 http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/football/...yers/64307.html http://www.usatoday.com/sports/football/20...gon%20State.htm The guy has a great arm but some difficulty with accuracy. I don't really see any argument otherwise...
  14. What are you talking about Willis?! Could not be more wrong... http://washington.scout.com/a.z?s=147&...amp;nid=1126498 "An incredible arm, throwing for distance and strength…throws a beautiful long ball…his physical tools are as good as any quarterback's"
  15. Explain to me how Hargrove and Jim Leonard would be upgrades to this team...please...
  16. DAMN YOU! Everytime.
  17. I don't want to admit that this made me giggle.
  18. Great find. Although, the article makes it seem like he is thinking about stepping back from coaching for a bit IMO.
  19. Lori I agree with what you write 99% of the time, but I can't agree with you here. McCargo's best year was in 2007 under Kollar. See the stats below, he did nothing this year. IMO Sanders did not do a very good job this year. Season Team Tackles G GS Comb Total Ast Sck SFTY PDef Int Yds Avg Lng TDs FF 2009 Buffalo Bills 11 1 11 7 4 0.0 -- 0 -- -- 0.0 -- -- 0 2008 Buffalo Bills 7 0 0 -- -- -- -- -- -- -- 0.0 -- -- -- 2007 Buffalo Bills 16 0 29 20 9 2.5 -- 4 -- -- 0.0 -- -- 1 2006 Buffalo Bills 5 0 6 5 1 0.0 -- 1 -- -- 0.0 -- -- 0
  20. Explain how I am lost. We were THE worst team in the NFL against the run. 32 out of 32! This in part can be attributed to our smallish linebacker corps, but it all starts up front. While the defensive line may have improved in terms of sack totals this year compared to years past, in my opinion this is most attributable to Aaron Schobel being healthy (lead the team with 10 sacks.) and not Bob Sanders.
  21. See. Now that is a good point. He was terrible. As far as why anyone would have an interest in him...I have no idea..
  22. Obviously not you. So why bother with such an insightful post to begin with?
  23. The responsibilities of a blitzing OLB versus an OLB in the Tampa 2 are significantly different. The Tampa 2 calls for much more coverage ability from the LB corps (hence small fast LBs such as ellison.) Simply put, Maybin would not have been the right fit for a Cover 2 LB.. Is he the right fit for a 3-4 OLB? Maybe.
  24. Who is going to wipe your tears when we rank at the bottom of the league in special teams and it costs us a couple of games? I have no problem with April going because, frankly, the special teams were not special this year as he could not adjust to rule changes. Having Special team studs like Wendling now, or Sam Aiken, Mark Pike and Steve Tasker is ALWAYS valuable. Btw Wendling had 26 special teams tackles and and INT this year. This is very impressive for a special teams specialist. But your right, this won't be missed..He will make the team...
