In theory you are correct, but in reality probably not. This Bills team doesn't know how to win or close out games. Just look at the last 6 games, if they knew how to win and close out games, they could very well be on a 6 game win streak. The odds are no matter what division the Bills were in, they would find a way to lose these close games week after week. If they ever do learn how to finish games they have an chance to and should win, then we might have something here, but until then they will be the team that always "almost wins."

Pat Williams, 3 year $13 million deal
billsfreak replied to Webster Guy's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
You are joking right? If not, I am speechless, it is so ridiculous. Clements and Winfield wanted and got way more than they were worth. Spikes was coming off being injured and asked for his release, and still is only a shadow of what he was his first two years here. Jason Peters wasn't worth what he was getting, he gave up more sacks than any LT in football, and he wanted a new contract every other game. Fletcher they should have kept, but I think they let him go more because they were changing defenses, and everyone knew T.O. was here for one year, regardless what ethnicity he was, they brought him in to sell tickets for one season. Greer is a good young talent, but why pay big bucks when he plays in the only area on the roster that we actually have quality, cheaper depth. 60% or more that are let go are going to be African Americans, because at least that percentage of the NFL's players are African Americans. So by your theory, Fred Jackson, Lee Evans, McGee and many others must have left the race block on their contracts blank, because they are all African Americans who got extensions. Also, of the names you mentioned, only Peters was traded, and I believe all of the others' contracts were up and they left as free agents, although I agree they should have kept Williams, that is the life in the NFL fitting under salary caps. Ralph Wilson might be the NFL's worst owner, for sure the cheapest owner, has driven this franchise into the dirt, but there are no grounds to call him a racists. If anyone is a racist, it would be someone who posted the type of post you did. Some people could watch an episode of the Flintstones and cry racism after watching it. Get a life. -
Pat Williams, 3 year $13 million deal
billsfreak replied to Webster Guy's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Ralph is the owner of the franchise, so he can over rule anyone anytime if he wants. I was listening to an interview with Pat Williams the other day on the NFL channel on Sirius radio and they ended the interview by mentioning that he gets to play his old team. His reply was something like, "Don't think I don't know that, it has been on my mind since 2006." Sounds like he is still bitter that Buffalo and Ralph didn't keep him here because I know he really wanted to stay. Just one of the many blunders this team has made, but one of the bigger ones for sure. -

If the Bills And Panthers finish same record
billsfreak replied to ALLEN1QB's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
At least a few weeks ago when we were both one win teams, they picked first based on strength of schedule. Even if the Panthers win one more and we don't, don't forget the Lions and Bengals are two win teams that we beat so they pick before us. The Lions won't take a quarterback, but don't be a bit surprised if the Bungals do, after the year that Carson Palmer is having. -
What did you do when Stevie dropped the TD?
billsfreak replied to UB2SF's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Initially I stood up in my chair yelling in a celebratory manner, because no way an NFL receiver drops such an perfectly thrown ball (maybe the best long ball Fitz has ever thrown). After I realized that Ocho Cinco Junior dropped the ball, I cursed a few times over without realizing it, as I don't like to curse in front of my kids, but I did it before I realized it. -
Hines Ward calls out the league
billsfreak replied to Rob's House's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
When two morons want to fight and hurt each other and are both willing participants, who the heck cares if they get fined or hurt? Now when you have a 275 pound linebacker leaving his feet head first into a defenseless quarterback, receiver or whatever, than a fine is deservable, so is a suspension when you have been fined 5 freaking times in one season and are to damn dumb to get the message. Mike Tomlin lost a lot of people's respect too, saying we should feel sorry for Harrison's kids, they need to go to college. Is that the dumbest thing or what? I wish I just had the money a year that he has been fined, much less his salary, of which the fine isn't even noticeable. The old man Rooney has to be turning in his grave, having always had a classy organization. They have probably the NFL's two dirtiest players, a serial rapist at quarterback and a coach who now is going to be known for saying simply retarded statements. I guess the current Steelers are no different than any other team, all that counts is winning, didn't use to be that way with that organization. -
Hines Ward calls out the league
billsfreak replied to Rob's House's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Hines Ward is just pissed because he is going to lose his title as "The NFL's Dirtiest Player" to his own teammate. -
Actually he is the lead guitar player, Billy Fitzgibbons.

Are you stoned, drunk or did you just skip English class for at least 4 years in a row? Skip grammar lessons for at least 2 years in a row? And were never invited to Football 101 Class at all. Fitzbeard will be a decent bridge quarterback for one year while they groom a rookie or real young QB with NFL skills. Fitz plays with as much heart as anyone in the league, but he isn't the answer to get us into contention, he makes at least 4 or 5 just plain terrible throws every week, and normally it is at a critical point in the game that he does it. Also Merriman won't be in Buffalo next year, he is a free agent was quoted before he even ever got here that he would'nt be here next season.

Three Vikings will be game time decision
billsfreak replied to ganesh's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Not sure about the other two, but guarantee Peterson will be out there, they are just taking it easy on him at practice. Do you really think, maybe the best running back in football is gonna miss the chance to run against the NFL's worst run defense? Don't think so. -
Harrison fined $25,000 for Fitzpatrick hit
billsfreak replied to smuvtalker's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I am beginning to wonder if he will ever get suspended. Seems like he pays a fine almost every week. If he doesn't get suspended how can people be upset that Andre Johson didn't get suspended? Harrison is just a dirty player, plain and simple. Eventually he will paralyze someone or even worse, then the league might wish they did something besides collect his money for charity. Most likley because he left his feet like a missile and hit head first. -
Jim/Thurman/Andre Headed Overseas
billsfreak replied to Mike In Illinois's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
As a retired military man myself, that is fantastic. Doesn't really surprise me, those guys are class compared to the majority of todays "stars." Maybe Steve Johnson should take a box of film from Andre's career and see how you play with class and act like you have been there before, not like the dumbass idiot he has been lately. -
Wake up, Wake up! We are not in Kansas anymore! Actually just wanted to chime in on a post started by the person who criticizes everyone on here that posts something.

Say what you want about Ralph Wilson as a meddling owner
billsfreak replied to JÂy RÛßeÒ's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Gotta get those tax write offs in before the end of the year. I wonder if he can claim the money he donated to Shawn Merriman, since the Bills didn't get anything back for the money, it was essentially a donation too. Seems like if he would spend money on the Bills it could be a business expense, but I guess you only get partial credit for those on your tax return. -
Does anyone believe he won't get over this
billsfreak replied to Logical Reasoning's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He has had one week of real highs and he will have had one week of real lows, maybe he can concentrate of football and recover his image. He brought it all on himself with the assinine shirt crap, the moronic hair cutting and being on any talk show that would have him last week. -
Steve Johnson Should Not Blame God
billsfreak replied to NaPolian8693's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Maybe send him to an english class too. Sounds like if someone doesn't get in this kids head, he is going to self destruct before he gets his career going. Gotta have tougher skin than that, especially if you are going to try to be a media celebrity after a good game, you gotta expect to be torn apart when you lose a game for your team. I really like him, but Stevie needs to grow up or he won't last long. -
Steve Johnson Should Not Blame God
billsfreak replied to NaPolian8693's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I am not sure who he is actually blaming in is Tweet, but he only has one person to blame and that is Stevie himself. Like Cris Carter said this morning on ESPN Radio, he didn't drop the ball on sunday, he dropped it on monday, tuesday, wednesday and thursday by letting his success from the Bengal game get to his head and not concentrating on football this past week. He spent all week on talk shows, radio shows, acting like a celebrity and not a young inexperienced football player. Maybe now he can throw away the ignorant T-shirt he wore last week, get a real haircut and shave that retarded crap off of his head and focus on football. If someone doesn't corral this young talented football player, his ego will get the best of him, and will will have our own Ocho Stinko on our hands. I just hope he learns from this and his ego is somewhat knocked down a peg or two for costing his team a win over a much superior team, that would have went miles for the entire teams confidence. -
Terrell Owens Calls Darrelle Revis 'Average' Cornerback
billsfreak replied to CodeMonkey's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Actually, I believe and I am not alone if you listened to the announcers sunday, the biggest problem with the Bengals this year is chemistry. T.O. is a big part of messing that chemistry up, he is putting up big numbers, but like Tasker noted, Palmer doesn't even look for Ocho, who was wide open in the end zone one play that he tried to force it to T.O. T.O. big personality puts pressure on a QB to get the ball to him (like it did with Edwards last year), pressure on the organization to avoid him blowing up and throwing everyone but his mom under the bus (the same pressure the organization felt last year here in Buffalo). T.O. is always going to make big plays, but he is always going to drop just as many balls as he makes big plays. T.O. might be the biggest "Me" player in the history of the NFL, just look at sunday, he catches a TD and rubs it in McFumbles face, two quarters later, after the Bills went ahead he was back to his moping around and lackadaisical effort. -
And if he had the different colored dreads he had when I talked to him his rookie year, they would even remember what he looked like being on these talk shows. Make you wonder what if it was Ocho Stinko doing that at the Ralph, the same people who are complaining about the fine, would be crying that Ocho had no class and should be fined.

If it is in stone like most everything else he has said (Lynch isn't on the trade block, etc.), than it will change. If not, be ready for another year next year of below average rebuilding. But like I said, it is more for Fitz confidence, Gailey has gone back on almost everything that he has said so far since taking over.

I would guess there is much more left than most of us on this board make over the course of several years.

Terrell Owens Calls Darrelle Revis 'Average' Cornerback
billsfreak replied to CodeMonkey's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
T.O. is one of the most classless players in the NFL, as he displayed last week when the Bengals were ahead. The league will be better off when he rides into the sunset on his ego powered horse. Revis, this year though, has really been nothing more than average-so much for skipping training camp.
