Are you happy with the Buffalo Bills poll
billsfreak replied to BillsObserver's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Very accurate post. I cold probably add on to your list, but why bother, it already can't get any worse, why pile on? -

Official Shanahan Thread
billsfreak replied to San Jose Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Redskins-5 wins Bills-3 wins ?????????? It is bad in Washington, but until we start winning more games than they do, and have an owner that even though he gets in the way, doesn't have a padlock on his wallet and is willing to do whatever it takes to win, nobody in their right mind can say it is worse. We gave up a first and other picks for J.P. Losman. Traded a first round pick for Rob Johnson that turned out to be Fred Taylor. Gave up a first for Drew Bledsoe (that one isn't as bad, they dumped him too early). If D.C. was worse, why would Shanahan go there and not even entertain coming here no matter the salary? The answer-ownership, plain and simple. -
I might not have ever seen a more accurate post on TBD than your post, especially the line I bolded, certainly 100% accurate. There have never been a more "Me" player in the NFL than Owens. He was the same way in Buffalo, when he scored a touchdown on a rare occasion he was all

"You could be a Buffalo Bills fan"
billsfreak replied to BillsObserver's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Those aren't fans, or at least fans prior to the year 2000 anyway. Those are clueless people who are satisfied with being a losing joke of the NFL. So Mason had two teams to choose from for his statement, the Bills or the Lions, you can't say he is wrong with a straight face. -
The underlying problems with Bills shows again
billsfreak replied to Niagara Bill's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
You are correct, there is one underlying problem with this franchise, but it is the ownership. He hires these clowns, he controls their spending, if they are too successful the chases them out of town before he has to pay them their worth. There are too many problems with this franchise/team to mention in one post, but they all point directly at the individual responsible for the assembly or shall I say the disassembly of this organization. -
I like what he did in preseason too, but I also liked what Spiller did in preseason, and he has been a flop so far too-point being it was preseason. There has to be a reason why Bell has been on 3 team's roster so far this season, and I believe numerous different teams during his short career. I have to believe there has to be something missing from his game, otherwise he would have stuck somewhere by now. If he was really worth something, I think the Colts would have kept him, but they instead brought back Dominic Rhodes for a 3rd time, the same RB who didn't make it out of preseason here last year.

I sure the heck hope you are joking, because if you are not your not very intelligent. Who would want one of those two idiots, much less both of them? Receiver is an area we came into this season with alot of questions, no depth, but it has been one of the biggest surprises of the season. My guess is the receiving corp will be pretty much the exact same as it is this year bringing back our injured rookie and probably carrying one less TE. Evans will be here, he is relatively cheap, and unfortuneatly for him, Fitz will most likely be the QB next year, so he still won't have one that can throw downfield to utilize his biggest asset-speed. I can only imagine the career numbers that Evans would have if he had a QB with an actual NFL caliber arm his whole career, instead of just a couple seasons with Bledsoe.

Someone who is a LEADER as you said, and has a problem with a teammate(s), coaches, owners, whatever-addresses it in the lockerroom, not to the press or Twitter. That is just screaming for attention. I don't know anyone who said Palmer was a HOF QB going into this season, as most NFL fans, and especially Bungal fans will tell you he hasn't been the same since his knee injury 5 or so years ago. The Bungals don't have a great wide receiver duo, they have a wide receiver duo who think they are great-big difference. They are both more fixed on being celebs, reality stars, talk show host, and not concentrating on the sport they get paid millions to perform in. Those two are where the many Bengals problems start this year. Being a LEADER isn't someone who calls out his QB and says he is gay, or gets suspended for half a season for being detrimental to a team. On the bright side though, Fitz might be the only QB he has played with that he hasn't thrown under the bus, so he must be a LEADER. With a LEADER like that, I hope the hell there aren't too many followers.

We will find out how important Lee Evans is
billsfreak replied to PromoTheRobot's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
You are exactly correct, if there is a bigger waste of talent in the NFL than Lee Evans, I am not sure who that would be. Maybe a speed receiver, with decent hands, lots of character (doesn't say stupid crap, post retarded crap on the internet, doesn't write on a T-shirt and draw fines, run his mouth just to get attention), doesn't fit in with Chan "The Offensive Genius" Gailey's game plan. Put Evans on the Patriots, and he would equal the numbers that Randy Moss put up a couple years ago when they went undefeated and lost to the Giants in the Super Bowl, because Belecheat knows how to adjust a gameplan to the personnel he has. Just look at the Patriots offense this year compared to 2007, a totally different philosophy, but just as successful. -

billsfreak replied to PromoTheRobot's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I would guess that at least 75% are under thrown or over thrown (mostly underthrown), and some not even close to the intended receiver=interception. The best long pass Fitz has ever thrown hit his receiver in the hands for the game winning TD-but Stevie "Stone Hands" dropped it. It seems like more of his long passes are intercepted than are even catchable by his own receivers. -
Anyone who has been watching knows T.O. has been like that for 15 years now. He is a locker room venom, who has hurt more teams than he has helped. If he wasn't such a asswad, a reciever with his superior abilities, even still at his age, wouldn't have any trouble at all finding work, yet he has to almost promote himself to get one desperate team to sign him (Bills, Bengals, etc.). Any other receiver (besides maybe Moss), that has his abilities would be choosing from a group of teams to play for, but in his case his reputation precedes him.

billsfreak replied to PromoTheRobot's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Nobody on your list compares in the least bit to the talent that Lee Evans has. If Evans has to work on a deep ball in the off season, the Bills better get a QB that can throw a deep ball. Fitz is good for at best 40 yards with any accuracy, that isn't considered an NFL deep ball. -
Did they have to sign someone named Colin, to go with the names we already have on the O-Line? By the time the season ends, our roster will be half made up of other teams' practice squad players. Doesn't bode well for the ability to win, when our roster is players that couldn't make other teams.

Obviously Bills Are Going Defense With First Pick
billsfreak replied to BuffaloBaumer's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I believe Warner was undrafted also. The bottom line is, the draft isn't an exact science, expecially at the QB position. You can throw examples out for either side of a discussion, no matter what the discussion is about when it comes to the draft. When it comes to drafting quarterbacks, the names mentioned are few and far between, as the success isn't great for any team-a lot more misses than Hall of Fame caliber hits. The higher you draft any position, the odds are better that it will be a great pick, but there are obviously no guarantees. -
The Bills do not need to draft a QB
billsfreak replied to eball's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
You are 100% correct, but you need a playoff caliber quarterback for that and I don't think we have that. I like Fitz and he is fun to watch (in the second half, he sucks in most first halves), but he isn't a playoff caliber quarterback. You are so right, the Hall of Fame is full of absolutely terrible football people. Those of you that give Levy so much credit or blame for what happened while he was here are clueless. He was a face that Bills fans knew, that is why he was brought in here, Ralph wanted to save face with the people that buy his tickets. Levy didn't have much say in anything, and everyone that has a clue knows that. -
We will find out how important Lee Evans is
billsfreak replied to PromoTheRobot's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If they want to make any attempt at winning in 2011, now way do you not keep Evans. He is making only $4 million next year, is the only reciever with any experience beyond 2010, and is durable (sunday will be his first game missed since he was drafted). If Evans is gone before next season, it will be more than obvious that this team has no intention on placing winning anywhere near the importance of the allmighty dollar. -
The Bills do not need to draft a QB
billsfreak replied to eball's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If you don't take one in the first five rounds, why take one at all? We already drafted one of the clowns last year and wasted a pick. Until we get a franchise quarterback, and yes Fitz is exciting at times, frustrating at times, but he isn't a franchise quarterback, we won't be really in the mix for a championship. -
What if the Panthers DON'T draft Luck
billsfreak replied to saundena's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If the Panthers don't take Luck, it appears quite obvious, especially after yesterday that the Bengals will. -
Beginning to believe the Steelers
billsfreak replied to Beerball's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Officials have also given them more games over the years too, even a Super Bowl (along with one with this year that they shouldn't have had). They have the dirtiest team in the league, and with Harrison and Ward the two dirtiest players on offense and defense as voted on by their peers. -
Fitzpatrick wears a wedding ring on the field....
billsfreak replied to The Poojer's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
They talk about it almost every game on TV. Word is his wife makes him wear it because he is such a stud, especially with that scraggly sexy facial hair (can't call it a beard), she wants everyone to know he is taken. -
Don Criqui---worst announcing job in NFL history today...
billsfreak replied to Big Turk's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I didn't notice, I was focusing on the game, but I do know that in almost 40 years of watching football, it wouldn't compare to some of the worst I have seen. The guy is an announcing legend (he has been doing the NFL since 1967) and has done some of the most historic events in NFL history not to mention the Olympics, basketball, etc. that he has announced. If you really don't like to listen to him I would recommend turning the volume on the TV down and listening to the radio, as he does alot of Bills games and always will, since he is from the Buffalo area (Kenmore). -
