  1. And it is that philosophy that is the reason why this franchise will never be competitive for a division title or Super Bowl Championship. You are probably right, too bad any good teams see it much different. That is why we had less catches by a TE than any other team in the NFL and it was by quite a substantial margin too.
  2. Trading out of the top 4-5 spots nowadays is pretty rare, and why would we trade down so someone can draft a quarterback when we desperately need one ourselves?v As the last two games clearly pointed out, we may have the worst QB situation in the entire NFL, just like it appeared we did this time last season.
  3. I have to compliment you optimism, but are you smoking something or just in need of a visit to a head doctor? We don't have anything close to a franchise quarterback, are you kidding? I will give you that Fred Jackson has been a good back, but two good backs who compliment each other? Spiller hasn't done anything to justify the #9 pick, been a good back or complimented anything or anyone. The O-Line is a solid group? They are still one of the worst in the NFL. What solid LB do we have? Poz is a Free Agent, you don't know if Merriman will spend more than 2 consecutive plays on the field before he gets hurt. We are set at our DB's? If I am not mistaken, 3 of our 4 starters are unrestricted free agents, Byrd had a terrible year and McGee managed to play about 4 or 5 games all year. I won't say Chan Gailey as been terrible, but a "great job" please, they won 2 less games that last year's disaster in the last game of the season they pretty much quit on him. Your post was just silly until you compared Fitz to Drew Brees, that made you look quite ridiculous.
  4. That is true that the defense gave up a buttload of yards all year, but in the last two games alone I think our offense gave the ball away 13 times? Most of them by stupid plays from the QB position. That would be a high number for an entire season on a team that was a serious Super Bowl contender (I think the Pats had 9 all year), so you can't say it was all defense. It is common sense that this teams does and has for years need a NFL caliber quarterback more than anything on the team, and that is saying quite a bit considering how terrible we are at so many positions.
  5. This team has so many holes and below average players that you have to start somewhere, might as well start with the most important position on the team-Quarterback. It doesn't help that this new front office, as clueless as they are, are willing to let some of the few "average" players walk and create even more holes, then take a gamble and spend millions on an injury riddled head case Merriman. Who in their right mind wouldn't think that?
  6. 7 turnovers two weeks ago, 5 by Fitz himself, and as Cris Carter said they didn't turn the ball over, the gave them away, kinda says QB play has something to do with it.
  7. I would give our #1, #4 and Spiller.
  8. Actually George Wilson is an unrestricted free agent too, and just said in the last 24 hours that he has worked his whole life for this one big payday. Good chance he won't be back also, remember who our owner is and he blew his wad on Merriman the other day. Poz can't shed blockers? Merriman can't get on the dang field-so which helps the Bills more? Millions of dollars on the IR or a tackling machine that can't cover receivers? Anybody can see the correct answer to that question-Go Poz! But then again, Nix didn't draft Poz so he doesn't get the undeserved money like Merriman. And yes he would have signed even if he didn't want to be here when it is clear no other team is going to pay him with his birth dad Nix did.
  9. Actually that is his 5th or 6th question, before that comes "Who am I?" "Where am I?" "The Buffalo Who?" "Win-what is that?"
  10. Maybe he is still under contract and Ralph won't let him fire him and pay two coordinators at the same time.
  11. I sure hope they have that comment on video, because October was a long time ago and Ralph doesn't remember what he said this morning.
  12. The morons in this front office will let him go, they already signed a injury riddled Merriman who is a shadow of himself when he does play, which will probably be about an average of 2-3 games a season for the two years that they signed him for. Poz is weak in pass coverage but he is a tackling machine, who was caught in the middle of the defense conversion to a 3-4 that didn't work at all.
  13. I watched the game, actually watched quite a few Bengal games this year, and that is how they played all year, which is why they went from division champs in one of the toughest divisions to a four win team this year. Besides, how is that any different than the way the Bills have blown games all year? Did Stevie "Stonehands" Johnson drop the game winner on purpose to improve the draft? Look at Palmers numbers, he hasn't been the same since he got cheap shot by the Steelers and tore his knee up in the playoffs. Fitz has made several plays this year that were just as bad if not worse than Palmer's play at the end, just look at the Patriots game last week. As Cris Carter said, Fitz didn't turn the ball over 5 times himself he gave it away. Get a tissue or two, it is going to be along off season for Bills fans, and unless things change another season of the same crap in 2011. Go Bills!
  14. I agree, are those two players Pro Bowlers? Heck no, but are they the biggest weaknesses on the team, not even close. This team has so many holes, it makes no sense to create more. You don't get 25 draft picks, that is what it would take if you keep making new holes to fill with the several we already have. I think Poz's biggest problem this year was he was caught in the middle of the defense coversion, which wasn't thought all the way through, but was a decision made while they (Nix and Gailey) were standing at a podium announcing their signings.
  15. What a great plan, let them go and resign a broke dick, never healthy, one strike away from steriod suspension for a year, shadow of his oldself linebacker who said he didn't want to be in Buffalo instead. Boy do we have some Einsteins running this team?
  16. Anybody that watched the Bills the past two weeks has to agree with you too. Our QB situation is miserable at best. I say give them our first round pick, Spiller and Stevie "Stonehands" Johnson.
  17. One key point to your article is that they got their HOF quarterback the year before your list started, so unlike the Bills, they had a quarterback already, and if yesterday showed anything, we don't. You can't just build by the draft, you have to draft well, trade well, sign free agents well and coach well. Over the past decade, the Bills have really done none of the above. Until you get a good quarterback, you will not compete for any serious type of post season play, so we are not there yet. I like Fitz and think he is an above average backup, but NFL starting QB he is not, and he proved it once again on sunday. As Cris Carter said on TV today, the Bills and Fitz didn't turn the ball over, they gave it away. He does that alot, and make alot of poor decisions.
  18. You are so correct. When people on here were complaining that Johnson might get fined for the crap with the T-Shirt, that was my reply, if he was on the Patriots or Jets they would be screaming for a fine. I agree, he appears to have talent to be an impact receiver, but the way he is mimicking Ocho Stinko and Terrible Owens, he will develop a reputation and turn into someone who you don't want in your lockerroom. But you are exactly correct in your observations of this board, what is a terrible thing for the Patriots or Jets, or Dolphins, when done by someone on the Bills it is totally fine.
  19. I didn't say Fitz hasn't played well, but is there zero chance that another QB won't be in here next year? Hell no. The odds are against it but it isn't cemented. If by chance Luck fell to us, I would think they would take him. Once never knows what opportunities will present itself to a team during the off season. Would I like him to do back flips-I don't think he could his facial hair (it's not a beard) would catch on something, but I wouldn't mind him throwing a few less absolutely terrible passes each game, especially at crucial moments of the game.
  20. Same here, I know some people are into it, but a lady's feet would be the absolute last place I would spend anytime at on her body.
  21. I would suggest that if he scores, he hands the ball to the official and "Acts like he has been there before." Why not have a little class (instead of what he has displayed) and don't make people continue to think that he is Ocho Stinkos little brother.
  22. First off, Fitz hasn't "cemented" anything. And why would you start Brohm if Fitz has cemented the starting job? Brohm most likely isn't going to be here next year, and the same could most likely be said about Levi, they already cut him once. My guess is next year Fitz will start, hopefully with a rookie behind him to learn for a half of a season and a journeyman at #2 or #3. Brohm's NFL career is on the brink of ending, there is a reason that the Quarterback Genius Chan, hasn't given a thought to playing either of those two on the roster.
  23. The Monday Night games are scheduled based on what will get the highest ratings on a national level, not on a Buffalo or Western New York level. Outside of the Bills fans, nobody gives a crap about the Bills, and when they have been on they have blown games they should have won. Until the Bills are a good team, they won't be prime time too often, and who knows how long before that will be. They have been such a pathetic team that they can't even sell out half of the home games this year, so if there isn't enough interest locally, there sure isn't nationally. They don't want a monday night game that is blacked out in the teams local area either.
  24. Spiller not doing to Bad!!! He isn't doing too good either!!!!! Sounds like alot of yards, but when you have a defense that for awhile was giving up at least 40 points a game, that is a lot of kick returns, of which your average return man gets 25-30 yards on every return. Bottom line so far, he is one of if not the biggest bust from the entire first round of the 2010 NFL Draft, if not the draft in it's entirety.
  25. I am one of the many who said they would win 2-4 games, but I don't remember anyone in particular saying they would go winless.
