  1. How long has he been saying that? Just a way of him saying "I am not spending the money to become a contender". I bet it isn't going to take 2-3 years for him to make millions of dollars from the Bills Fans hard earned money. It sure the heck isn't any wonder why players don't want to come here. Would you sign a 3 or 4 year contract when the owner is pretty much saying you won't be a playoff team? He along with Al Davis, have separated themselves from the rest of the league, even Dan Snyder, as the worst two owners in the NFL.
  2. I totally agree, it would only be common sense, but then again using common sense isn't the Bills way. It is highly possible that the new CBA comes into agreement late summer or so and the training camp/free agency/trading periods are all abreviated and a rushed to the point where there might not be alot of time for players to discuss contracts with multiple teams, etc. and we all know how much the majority of players want to come to Buffalo. I am as hopeful as any Bills fan that eventually this team will turn around, but this front office seems no different than the past few in that most of the moves they make don't seem well thought through or they are just plain clueless.
  3. A hole is a hole no matter what you call it.
  4. $$$$$$-about 4.5 million dollars is behind it. He hasn't been great, but doesn' it just create another hole on a swiss cheese of a defense?
  5. No matter what has happened since he retired, no nickname in Buffalo Sports history is as identifiable as "The Juice."
  6. I say trade them Leodis McFumble for Brady Quinn. He isn't in their future, and might be the QB of the future here, so we can draft defense. Plus getting rid of McFumble automatically adds one or two wins to our record, seems like he fumbles at least a game or two away each year.
  7. Why is it that people seem to take it personally and develop a hate for people who speak the truth about the Bills and not what the many Bills fans who live in a fantasy world want to hear. What do you expect them to say? The Bills were 4-12 last year, haven't been to the playoffs in over a decade, the owner has run this franchise into a state of embarrassment, but hey this is the year they win 12 games? Get real. No non-biased media personality can say anything more positive than "the Bills may be headed in the right direction" with a straight face, and even that is debatable. Don't get me wrong, I have been a Bills fan for over 40 years, but what did they say that was inaccurate? The "luxury pick of Spiller" was not a smart choice, for a team that has more holes than just about any other team in the league. Hopefully, someday this franchise will finally turn it around, it doesn't look like that will be in the next few seasons, but when they do, just watch, you might like what some of the media types have to say about them. Until then, relax, and quite complaining about people just because they are stating the obvious.
  8. Relax and take your meds. Jerry Jones is a maniacal egomaniac with a ton of money for sure, but you can't blame that horrendous half time show on him, that was all the NFL. Jones being greedy and one of a kind is nothing new, years ago he was at odds with all of the other owners and the NFL for going out and getting his own sponsorship deals separate from the rest of the NFL. You are correct in that Soccer is the most popular sport in the world, by a large margin, but not in this country. In this country it comes in right below hopscotch and tiddlywinks.
  9. I don't think they will or should trade him, but if they wanted to and couldn't, it wouldn't be because of the salary, he is only due something like 3.5 million or so this year, which isn't that much for a #2 receiver, much less a #1.
  10. I might do the same thing, since I often have Wood! How many teams go almost a decade with the punter being the best player on the team?
  11. I would tell them to keep #107 and throw in next year's 1st or 2nd round pick. If this new regime is going to turn this mess around, it isn't going to be a quick fix, why not go for quality.
  12. If my memory serves me correctly, if any women can be called a homewrecker when it comes to AROD it would be Madonna.
  13. One question, if there is no new CBA, will any current players even be at the unveiling like last time? Something tells me they might be forced to avoid it, like they are trying to get the rookies to stay away from the draft if there is no new deal. Might be Jim Kelly by himself this time around.
  14. Heck, I am trying to pretend the last 11 years never happened, and sadly it has nothing to do with the uniforms but the team itself.
  15. That is probably true, and because it is probably true, they both should be fired. They have failed miserably on both sides.
  16. That is so very true. Like they say "You can polish a turd but it is still a turd!" I think a team should have to make the playoffs at least once, before they change uniforms just to try to get all their suffering fans' hard earned money from buying new jerseys. Not that I am a fan of the current dark blue jerseys, in fact I think they are probably the worst uniforms, the road whites even more so, in the history of the franchise. I sure hope it is some type of throwback, maybe the 80's Joe Ferguson style, because if they try something new, you can look at the current uniforms and see what a disaster that can be.
  17. No I wouldn't franchise Poz, but I would resign him without a doubt. He wants to stay in Buffalo (why I don't know), and nobody is going to pay him the 9+ million I think it is for the franchise tag at LB. I think you could resign him for much less than the franchise amount and still keep him. Most websites that rank the free agents available have him in the top 10-15 out there from all the positions. He hasn't been great but if you let him go, who do you get to replace him? All you do is add another hole to this swiss cheese of a team, and you can only fill in so many holes at a time.
  18. The best part was her quote when they announced that she would be singing it "I have been singing the Anthem since I was seven years old."
  19. You know what has been said for years "It is only cheating if you get caught."
  20. There is only one choice in your poll that makes any sense, the others are ridiculous. There cannot be replacement players next year, it isn't even an option. The only time the owners can field "scabs" is when it is a player strike, not an owner's lockout like this one will be if it happens. And who would want to miss an entire season just to get the #3 pick two years in a row? If history is any predictor, the Bills would mess it up both years or draft a few more running backs.
  21. What Belicheat did was cheating, if what other people are saying and Johnson saw it on ESPN, that surely isn't cheating. If it is anyone's fault it is the NFL's for letting them broadcast from practice or even the Bills for practicing their "Secret Weapon" while ESPN was broadcasting right next to them. Don't get me wrong, I can't stand those Cowboys (for obvisous reasons), but it certainly wasn't cheating if those ESPN facts are correct.
  22. What you say is true, but there is another reason the Steelers were in the Super Bowl-Stevie "Stonehand" Johnson. Just think about it, if Johnson doesn't drop a perfectly thrown game winning touchdown the Steelers are a Wild Card instead of a division winner, they don't play at home, probably at all in the playoffs and they for sure wouldn't have had a first round bye. That drop changed the entire NFL season, at least from the AFC side of it. Sure the Steelers might have still gotten there but it is doubtful.
  23. If he would have gotten his way, he would have gotten a franchise in Miami.
  24. Actually now that I think of it, the Redskins cheerleaders are smoking hot. They show down here in Virginia a couple times a year. Just ask Chris Cooley, his now wife was a cheerleader for the Skins who got kicked off the squad for dating a player. Cooley won on that one. Their owner and franchise might be almost the joke ours is, but their cheerleaders put ours to shame.
