You obviously didn't watch any playoff football the past two seasons. He has in no way been the reason the Jets lost either AFC Championship game, but on the other hand has played quite well in the post season. He isn't great, but like Flutie he wins.

Actually if you chew it and swallow it again it tastes better the second time around.

I'll say Barnett, he was all over the field last week. The only time I heard Merriman's name was when he hurt his shoulder. I would love to see a flash of the old "Lights Out" Merriman though.

To go along with the day that the Bills told Jim Kelly they weren't going to resign him because they had the new future in Todd Collins. Then he contemplated playing for Marchibroda and the Ravens, that would have been even sadder.

And 85 has done none of that since he has been in NE, which I am sure Belicheat discussed with him as soon as he arrived, if not earlier. His tweet that got Bruschi's panties in a wad, was in no way a tweet that Ocho might have sent last year. I don't care for him, but I truly believe he had none of his usual "bring attention to me" intent that he always did in Cincy.

I agree that McKenzie should be up there, he was a key member of the Electric Company with Joe D. and started every game for 9 straight seasons for Buffalo. Smerlas was also a multiple Pro Bowler (5X) and like Reggie a One Time First Team All-Pro, and was out there pretty much every game for 11 seasons, so I don't have a problem with him being up there. I really believe though, and from previous topics on this forum I am not alone, that Ralph puts alot of his personal feelings into who goes up on the wall here, otherwise there is no way that Lou Saban wouldn't be up there.

There have been numerous low moments as a Bills fan, but one that stick out for me was the week prior and leading up to the "Music City Ripoff." I was at the game when they played Rob Johnson against the Colts, supposedly to rest Flutie, then a day or two later they announced that Johnson was going to start. To me that just killed what at the time was the hottest team in the AFC at the end of the season. Then to find out later that Ralph Wilson pretty much directed Wade Phillips to make the change made it even worse. Flutie had injected some excitement into the franchise, and in some ways saved the organization at the time.

No player deserves to be recognized as an all-time great after two good seasons. And how do you compare the two (Hansen and Williams?), what genius method do you have for that? Two different positions, different eras, and definitely different won-loss records. Maybe in the seats right above the wall, that is the closest he should ever get to the field again.

Just a figure of speech. In this case, all a player has to do for some people is put a Bills helmet on and he is GOD, doesn't have to accomplish anything, could have been a hated enemy prior to this, but automatically he is great and it is a crime that the rest of the free world doesn't think so.

I have no argument that he isn't a drama queen, but so was Deion. My biggest memory of Deion was when he was with the Falcons against the Bills, and we were winning by about 50 points when he picked off a pass and ran for a TD, before he got to the endzone he did his retarded dance and held the ball out in the face of the defender. I was thinking, "Hey Retard you are getting your asses kicked and you are gonna do that?" That was the early stages of the "Me" players in the league, that put themselves before the team. I am sure Chad and Belicheat had a long talk when he joined the Pats about Chad's extracurricular things, but I am also quite sure that Chad meant only positive with that tweet and nothing about himself or anyone else-nothing controversial at all. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, and in my opinion these Ex-Pats went way overboard over what was really nothing.

Only the facts here for you and Dr. Dairystein. Some people here would get a mancrush on David Carr if they brought him in.

Thought it was Jason Voorhees?

Next to Darryl Talley, Hanson is the most underrated defensive player I have seen on the Bills in the nearly 40 years I have been watching them. He played on the other side of the line from maybe the greatest DE in history and was overshadowed his whole career. If he wasn't on the other side, Bruce's stats wouldn't be so amazing, because they could have just run away from him the whole game. Brings up a question though, who if anyone since the Superbowl years has a chance to go up on the wall? Moulds maybe? Maybe Moorman if they would put a punter. If not Moorman, I don't see anyone from the past decade worthy.

Thats good. He also averages two playoff wins a season during his career, half of what the Bills average during the season.

Listen, I have never liked Chad Ocho, but underacheiver on the field? He has almost 11,000 yards receiving with maybe the worst franchise in professional sports. In the history of the Buffalo Bills, we have one receiver with that many yards-are all the rest underacheivers too? He is also only about 1300 yards or so from having as many as Andre Reed did, when he gets that will Andre be an underachiever also? 66 career TD for the Bengals? If his whole career were on the Patriots he probably would be up there with T.O. in TD numbers. I never cared for him and his mouth, but never cared for Deion either-the only Hall of Famer afraid to hit. But to say Ocho is an underachiever on the field, that makes you look a little clueless when it comes to football. I am sure if it was the Bills who traded for him you would consider him a God-Like player and would run out and buy his jersey.

I go with Fitz or Fitzy. I'll choose to stay away from the goofy names until we win a few more games.

So you are saying that the fact that the only three ex-players who said anything were all ex-Patriots, that had nothing to do with it? You are oblivious to reality if you really think that, and your statement isn't just because you don't like Ocho. I wouldn't disagree with Bruschi no matter what he says, in fact I have never had a problem with Bruschi, and actually had respect for him as a player coming back from a stroke and playing like he did. Also, I have never liked Chad either, but this instance here is ridiculous on the Ex-Pats reactions to this.

I have never been a Chad Johnson/Ocho Stinko fan at all, I guess I am old fashion and don't appreciate the preplanned stupid celebrations that players do nowadays. But in this case, I don't get it? What he said was a compliment, not his usual ego rubbing statements. He has been a Patriot for only a month or so, with no off-season to learn a completely different offense. It is almost like some of these guys think he isn't good enough to be a Patriot for some reason. Maybe they don't like that he gets attention and they never did, it all went to Brady. Then Rodney Harrison chirps in, who the F**K is he? The guy who made a comment about Steve Johnsons hit being dirty on Berry, yet year after year he was voted the dirtiest player in the NFL? Chad Ocho has a fun personality, that sometimes gets out of control, but he did nothing wrong here? Considering what other players have tweeted in the past, and some of the stuff he has tweeted/said/done in the past, this tweet was actually a good thing IMO. The only thing wrong with your statement is none of the guys went after him as media personnel, they went after him as former Patriots. Did you ever hear Andre Reed, Jim Kelly, Thurman, Hull, Tasker, etc. go after Whitner? One Tweet is too much tweeting? I don't like him either, but these arrogant former Patriot average players went way too far.
-
No, he would just write something retarded on his T-Shirt, get a penalty and hurt the team, get fined and the fans on here would think he was amazing!
-
I heard the announcers call him that at least once in all 4 preseason games this year. If he can put together a string of games like last weekend, they will know his name before too long.
-
Maybe they read this board yesterday with all the rumors of venerial diseases and chicken wing eating contest ailments that were discussed.

History shows that you cannot apply any of these type of odds to the Buffalo Bills. A few years ago we started 4-0 and didn't come close to the playoffs, but in 1998 we started 0-3 and made the playoffs. These stats are just the result of someone being bored and having way too much time on their hands. It is not just us either, two years ago the Broncos started 6-0 and only ended up 8-8 and out of the playoffs.
-
I sincerely wish him all the best and a speedy recovery, but if I was a betting man (I am not), I would say you probably won't ever see him in a Bills uniform again. This is a "What have you done for me lately" league where teams can't wait around for someone to be able to get on the field. There is too much money invested in the NFL for a team to keep waiting for a player they have been paying for two seasons but hasn't even ever been on an active roster because of health problems. I hope he is the exception because he seems to have the body build and tools to become at least a steady NFL receiver, but I am not gonna bet on it.
-
That is exactly correct, and for alot of people on here, the stat line is the only way they understand how to judge a football game. So if that is the case, Merriman sucks for sure, since Rian Lindell had as many tackles as he did in the box score.

Ask Indianapolis Colts fans if they agree with you.
