  1. Better chance of it being Miami and New England. The rest of the country doesn't care about the Bills.
  2. By signing one player? Please, the league schedulers aren't die hard Bills fans like we are. Alot of people are kinda overblowing this T.O. signing and the impact it will have. Sure it should help, but we are not the Cowboys or Steelers and never will be in the majority of the country's eyes.
  3. There is no doubt Owens is a prolific receiver and will improve our offense, but a reciever doesn't do it all on his own. This will be, by a mile, the least potent offense he has ever been in with the least potent QB he has ever played with. To make this argument you also have to look at the QBs that are throwing the ball to them. Here are some 2008 stats: EDWARDS 14 GAMES/245-374/65.5%/2,699 YDS/11 TDS/10 INTS ROMO 13 GAMES/276-450/61.3%/3,448 YDS/26 YDS/14 INTS So Owens without a doubt had a more capable QB in Dallas, so his numbers are bound to be much higher, and he played one less game than Edwards did. I am far from a Romo fan, in fact hate the Cowboys as do most Bills fans, but the facts tell the truth. Don't let yourself think that because Owens is here, we are now a super potent offense, because it isn't that easy.
  4. I am as big of a Bills fan as anyone on this board, but signing one receiver isn't going to take us from the worst team in the division (and by no small margin) into the 2nd best. It is going to take a few more signings before we even consider not being the worst team in the division.
  5. And who is this "one person" you stated that you were going to tell us about?
  6. From what I read he didn't want T.O. in Buffalo, I mean look at his quiet personality, how is he going to handle Owens when, and I mean "when" he acts up? Does he really ever talk about anything?
  7. Has anyone heard of anyone visiting this Bills this week? Or are they still celebrating signing T.O? I read somewhere that they had 13 visitors in one day and none signed? Not sure how accurate that is but I do know that they had quite a few and they all left until T.O. signed saturday. Hopefully they are still working on some other holes that need filled.
  8. You obviously didn't read too many threads, there were approx. 70% of the posts who were not in favor of the T.O. signing.
  9. I have to disagree with you too. There was a time when he was a deep play threat and it still may happen on occasion, but his strengths are mid range passes and running with the ball after the catch, which at this point of his career is the strongest part of his game.
  10. It doesn't matter what anyone thinks of the Fitzpatrick signing now. I personally thought it was a mistake when it happened and I still do. Edwards is going to miss a few games, it is inevitable and has happened since college. It would have been a much safer bet to have an established veteran come in for a few games instead of, as Rotoworld put it, the Noodle armed QB we signed. It is done now so no other QBs will be coming in, the 3 are set with Trent, Noodle Arm and Hamden.
  11. I think around 30 Million would be a safe bet, I also would think he as probably made more since football than he did when he played. His business JKE is still around, he has had more endorsements than he did when he was playing, he still makes money from the Jim Kelly Camp, and he was the exception and actually invested some money when he played and not blew it all on fast cars and hot women (although I am sure some of it went towards that).
  12. I am with you that I think Lee Evans is a true #1, but if he doesn't have a monster year, as you put it, it won't be totally his fault. For one we have a QB who hasn't shown he can throw downfield yet with an consistency or accuracy. Two, hopefully it was because of personnel, but the offense was so predictable and boring last year. I was actually a little surprised that a new OC wasn't brought in, Schonert kinda stunk last year.
  13. I don't think his article is that far off from the way I feel about the current state of the Bills and their most recent attempt at escaping the lower half of the NFL's ladder. Either way, no matter how you feel about this guys ariticle, what does his looks have to do with it, and how did it effect the article? Maybe I just feel this way because I admit to not giving Brad Pitt a run for his money although based on alot of these posts here, there are alot of people in here that could run in and steal Angelina from Brad as we speak. Shouldn't alot of you be out looking for modeling work and not spending your time on this board?
  14. Moorman has been the most consistent player on the team for the better part of 5 or 6 years and still is.
  15. JP was pretty much a bust, but he still has one of the strongest arms in the league. Some of those bombs he used to his Evans on were sweet. T.O. would have bigger numbers as would Evans if JP were QB, but we would also have more turnovers and bad checkoffs at the line of scrimmage.
  16. I am not a big fan of this move, but at least when they do mention the Bills on ESPN or NFL Network, it isn't about Lynch's arrest, that is the only time prior to this I heard them talk about Buffalo. I look at this move as a game of Russion Roulette. There is about a 30% chance this will work out for the Bills and about a 70% chance it turns out to be one of the worst moves in team history.
  17. Me I never leave the house without some type of Bills gear on usually a cap at least. I walked around to different card shops today in virginia (big collector) and everyone that knew me here said they thought of me when they saw the news. Most of them (probably 8 of the 10 that commented) said that Trent was doomed with T.O. on the team. All I could do was shrug, becuase my heart wants to tell them they are crazy and it will be different here, but my head was pretty much agreeing with them.
  18. It wouldn't even be fair to say we missed the playoffs because of Trent. JP sucked when he played and defense wasnt even close to playoff level. Our line play on the offense was suspect at best and Royal probably dropped 15 passes over te course of the season. Seems like at least one game, maybe two that the offense got us into position and we missed a field goal at the end. No sport in the world is as much of a team sport as football, no individual ever loses or wins a game by himself.
  19. The last time Moulds was a #2 was maybe his rookie year, after that he was #1 until he left. He had Price and Evans as #2's
  20. Gonzo might be more inclined to think about but the Bills may be less inclined, since he would probably demand close to what T.O. got. Can't really see the Bills paying too 35+ year olds that much money. Maybe if we were close and just missing a few pieces, but this team still needs alot of work, despite all the hype and excitement of T.O. coming to Buffalo.
  21. That is quite amazing, considering DJ probably has the least amount of vocal leadership of all the NFL's Head Coaches and pretty much would let the inmates rule the asylum. It is still to be proven, but based on personalities, DJ seems to be the least capable head coach in the league of keeping a player like T.O. in check.
  22. Having Pro Bowlers isn't that telling of a fact, in fact, Jason Peters was elected last year, and he was one of the worst Left Tackles in football last year. He gave up way more sacks than any other LT in football, and he didn't event start at the beginning of the season because of his holdout.
  23. I agree and no good QBs to throw to him.
  24. Pats have Belicheck we have DJ=Nuff Said!
