  1. You and me both. Said from the beginning it was nothing more than another salary dump, period. There really is no arguing that either without sounding clueless knowing the history of this organization. Quite a few of us knowledgeable football fans would disagree with you and have mentioned it before this loss. Donald Jones, and the WR position may just be one of the biggest weaknesses on this offense. This team is headed in the right direction, finally, but are they already a Super Bowl contending offense, anyone can see they aren't yet. In 4 games they have had 4 bad halves. Nelson has the best hands on this team, so it was kind of surprising that he wasn't used more on sunday in Cincinnati. Our offense line is playing much better, but yes it still has some issues. Our depth at running back isn't very good, once Jackson and Spiller got hurt on consecutive plays sunday, it was Oh Shot!. I am as happy as anyone else with the start to this season. Was I disappointed with the poor performance sunday, yes of course. But lets take this week by week and don't put the team in the Super Bowl yet.
  2. What about testicular cancer? Everyone could hang a set of Truck Nuts from their facemasks. Seriously, I don't have a problem with it, I am pretty sure that you can bid on alot of the pink game used stuff and the money goes to the treatment/study for a cure. I have had several family members die of cancer, none breast cancer, but it is a good cause, so what does it hurt? It is to raise money, and I am pretty sure it is also a PR Stunt, since the bright pink is so noticeable and everyone knows what it stands for. The only part that makes me laugh, is they can wear this pink all over the place because it sends a postiive message about the NFL, but if Peyton Manning wants to wear high top spikes for one game to honor Johnny Unitas or Jake Plummer wants to honor Pat Tillman, then they can't do it without being fined.
  3. I totally agree, after Fred Jackson got hurt and left the field holding his arm, then the very next play Spiller was lying down holding his leg, I thought "Oh Shoot", what now? We could really use a little bit of veteran help at both positions. But we could use a little help at a few positions. That is one thing that I have always liked about the way Belicheat coaches, and it was brought up by the announcers last week, in that if you make the Patriots roster, you are going to play each week and count on being a contributor. With the Bills, if Jackson and Spiller were to go down, we have zero experienced backs left. In fact, if Jackson went down, I don't think you can even rely on Spiller full time, he isn't that type of back.
  4. I think that they expected much more from Jones going into the season, but why they expected that is anyone's guess. He has much worse stonehands than Stevie Johnson has, and isn't as smart of a player. What a couple months ago seemed like maybe the position with the most depth on the roster, seems quite thin now. I personally would like to see much more Nelson and much less Jones, in fact Nelson was used sparingly yesterday compared to the first three weeks. Nelson has by far the best hands on the team, and they need to get him involved not only for his own growth, but he might be the team's most reliable reciever. I would like to see that, but I wouldn't be even the smallest bit surprised if you never see Easley in uniform again. How do you recover from a heart ailment? Is it something that heals itself on it's own, I don't think so, but I am far from a doctor, so here's hoping so.
  5. Actually it was presented in a very sarcastic manner. I guess the bottom line is you own a Tasker jersey and got offended? Thin skin?
  6. I agree, and I think he tries too hard to not sound like a homer. No Ex-Bill loves the Bills anymore than Tasker does. He still signs his autographs with "Go Bills" on each one just like he did during his playing days. Not sure what all this hate for Steve Tasker is today, but that hate should be focused on the team and coaching staff that was pathetic yesterday, not the announcers, no matter who they are. It doesn't matter to me who announces the game, I watch it and form my own opinions about things, don't need an announcer to tell me anything. If I did hear an announcer that just curdles my blood, like apparently Tasker does to some, I would hit that thing on my remote labeled "volume" all the way in the down direction. I don't think anyone cares if you "buy it", but if you don't get sarcasm and self depricating humor, you are quite clueless.
  7. You are joking aren't you? The comment he made about the fan wearing the Tasker jersey was a sarcastic dig at himself? He always makes sarcastic remarks about himself and downgrades his playing career. Just like he commented after Fitz's jersey was torn, how his never even got dirty much less torn. Wow, no sense of humor in your box of wisdom is there? News Flash-the Bills didn't lose because of Tasker or anyone else working the game for TV.
  8. That is what you are going to get with Fitz as your QB. That is the way he looked all last season, and for parts of this year. Fitz is a streaky quarterback who usually (not always) makes the right decision, just often if way off on the accuracy.
  9. Bottom line is they got their butts kicked today by a team that was much better today. All I have heard since about the 3rd play of the game is that the officials were ripping the Bills off, but in the mean time the Bills had dozens of chances to do something about it all day but failed. Was the officiating great? No, but it seems like this year it never is. The Bills lost today because they played an entire game the way they played the first halves against Oakland and New England. The Bills weren't very good today, so people are just sounding like whiny sore losers blaming the officials for the loss.
  10. There was one thing worse then the officiating and Tasker combined today-the Bills performance. Tasker says it as it is, and I have a feeling he tries hard not to sound like he is pulling for his beloved Bills. Tasker is actually one of the better game announcers that is out there. The Bills didn't do much good today, what do you want? Tasker to make crap up about the Bills doing good? Get over it.
  11. In over 4,000 posts, I have never once complained about what anyone in the media has said about Bills. It isn't worth my time because it is irrelevant and means nothing. Is that counting preaseason?
  12. Brady is a Punk A** B***H, but in his defense there were a couple blockers that probably would have knocked him on his Gisele luvin A**. I would be surprised if he wasn't told not to risk his season trying to be act like a defensive back on an interception. Besides, when you don't do anything hardly ever (like him throw INT's), he might not know what to do. My guess is Brady isn't in on the tackling drills in training camp.
  13. Very good points, especially since PTR gets his panties in a wad everytime a sportswriter says something about the Bills. You are exactly correct, the fans on here over-react to every game, whether it is a win or a loss. A win and they are automatically Super Bowl bound and a loss and we will be picking first in the draft next year. Oh yea, and the Buffalo media sucks.
  14. 1. Green Bay Packers-have a "G" for Green Bay not Packers or Wisconsin 2. Baltimore Ravens-have a "B" inside the Raven's head for Baltimore 3. Kansas City Chiefs have a "KC" on their helmets for Kansas City 4. Chicago Bears have a "C" on their helmet for Chicago
  15. I noticed that too when I watched the game over on DVR, but to come from Deion, the only Hall of Famer who was afraid to hit is a complete joke.
  16. You are a couple days late, this thread was started a day or two ago. Besides, what do you expect Lewis to say? "The Bills are playing pretty well so we don't have a chance?"
  17. Scarrrrrrryyyyy! I think the last time we had the Bills on the cover of SI was the last time we beat the Pats, with Sam Adams rumbling, bumbling, stumbling towards the endzone. Hope it doesn't start another 15 game losing streak against the Cheatriots. It is a awesome pic though.
  18. The difference between 2008 and 2011? Besides 3 years. I am not so sure that the talent is that much better if at all to be honest, but I think the attitude is much better. Although, if one thing worries me about this team, isn't while we are winning, which brings positive energy and attitude with it, I worry a little about how this team will react if it loses two games in a row. In 2008, nobody can deny that there was probably just as much excitement as this year, they were the last undefeated team in the NFL at the time. Once a couple losses came though, it seemed to all roll down hill. I think this year can be different, as I am not expecting this team to win 14 games, but I think Gailey and staff might be better at keeping the moral up after a few losses then Stone Faced Jauron and his staff did. That team in 2008, probably had as much talent as this team, or awful close at least, they never lost a game by more then 13 points. The second half of the season though, 13 points seemed like a ton of points as it seemed that team didn't think they could win once the losses caught up with the early season wins.
  19. Romo gets the attention because he is in the most glamorous position in the entire NFL, the quarterback of the Cowboys. He isn't a bad QB, and Fitz may by playing just as good as him now, but 10x better, come on, is there no common sense here? I can't stand the Cowboys and never could, but you are correct, if it wasn't for 3 or 4 single plays in crucial situations, Romo would be a considered a top 2-5 quarterback in the NFL. Kinda like Bill Buckner, he was a steady player for years and years, almost 3,000 hits but will always be remembered for Mookie Wilson's dribbler up the first base line (I am a Mets fan so I loved it).
  20. Exactly, it doesn't take much to get some people on here fired up does it? What would people say if Marvin Lewis said "Well, the Bills are pretty good so we probably won't win this week."? I agree with you in that it isn't even bulletin board material at all, much less significantly. A coach is supposed to say that. Now when you start mentioning individual players, etc. that is bulletin board material. How many successful coaches have said during press conferences that they "don't think they will win this week?" This week is set up to be the common trap game, a team coming off a huge win, playing a team that they should win. Let's hope they keep their heads level for this one.
  21. I noticed that too, but when I went to Info, the price shows $0 so no big deal.
  22. Actually the first time Fitz kneeled down, the play this happened, he did try to move forward or something, for some reason. On that play the Pats were signaling fumble, and I was almost crapping my pants. The stategy made sense to me, but the Fitz handled the first one didn't, as a fumble could have lost the game for us, as the announcers pointed out. That doesn't excuse the un-Patriot like lack of discipline by Wilfork, Belicheat on the wasted Time out and the DB who mauled Nelson in the endzone on just a terrible decision by Fitz, that gave us first and goal at the one yard line. Not sure what Wilfork has against the Bills as you don't really hear about him playing dirty against other teams, but he is a repeat offender against us.
  23. Where in my post did I bash the team or Ralph in any way? Are you mentally challenged or what? My only point was that people make such a big deal out of what media types say, when all that matters is what is done on the field. I don't give a crap if Peter Kings says we are ranked 30th, we are 3-0 and in first place, and that is all that matters. Why don't you read a freakin post before you comment on it moron. Is it becoming hard for you to bash other posters, that you start imagining things, and reading things that aren't even there. There is nothing about the Bills winning that would be killing me, as I am sure I am more of a Bills fan than your idiot ass will ever be.
  24. Gailey kinda coaches like Fitz quarterbacks. For 85-90% of the time he is brilliant, but has spurts of series where you just shake your head, like when they came out and threw on all three downs, after Jackson was tearing them up. Then he predictably came out the next series and ran all three downs. But, when it came down to the last half of the 4th quarter, he outcoached Belicheat.
  25. You can partly blame the Pats defense, but the Bills defense wasn't great. You certainly can put some blame on Brady, he wasn't himself. Things kinda snowballed for him and the Pats. Not sure if you can put any blame on Ocho Stinko, he did drop a TD, but they scored a TD a couple plays later. You can also put alot of blame on the DB that mauled Nelson (who did a bit of a punter's acting job) on the most stupid pass that I have ever seen Fitz throw that was picked in the Endzone on the last TD drive that gave us first down at the one. Belicheat, at least in the 4th quarter was outcoached by Gailey, and you don't say that very often, if ever. That timeout that he wasted was huge, as was the personal foul when Fitz was downing the ball, it gave the Bills enough plays to run the clock out and kick the FG instead of getting the six and giving the ball to Brady. Bottom line is, who cares who gets blame, who doesn't, at the end of the game the Bills had more points then they did.
