I agree that is one way to help an organization become successful, but it is no secret either. Almost every team in the league, once again almost every team would like to trade down for multiple picks, but it is so hard to do nowadays. Teams are hesitant to move up because of the increased costs of contracts for higher picks. You can sign 4 or 5 rookies (if not more than that) from the 3rd round and down for what it costs to sign one top 10 pick.

If Lynch is Suspended for 4 games, what now?
billsfreak replied to billsfreak's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
That is what the media says, only one man can answer how many games it is going to be, and he hasn't said anything yet. Commissioner Goodell is tired of these thug athletes and is big on sending a message via punishment. I hope he doesn't get more than 1 or 2 games, but don't be surprised if it is 4. A gun charge is a very serious matter. -

And who will run it in from the goal line, obviously not Fred Jackson unless he has put on about 20 pounds of muscle from last year. He tried more than a few times to punch it in and didn't have the push to get it in the endzone last year. Another person looking through rose colored glasses. So we will be fine is we start out 0-2? Don't kid yourself. We aren't that dominating just because we signed T.O., actually about as far from dominating as you can get. -

Who is in a panic mode? I'm not, it was just a question. It is posts like yours that don't make sense. If you can't say something that makes sense, why posts just so people know you are there? -

billsfreak replied to billsfreak's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I believe, but don't quote me, even if he is given his suspension, he can practice with the Bills up until the suspension starts, then he has to stay away until the suspension begins. So he can participate fully in Camp, then has to be on his own until the day after his suspension ends. -

We dont have 2 starting RBs when Lynch is suspended do we? -
The FO has failed to sign a running back for depth if Lynch gets the hook for 4 games. Our depth without him is suspect, in fact I am not sure that if Fred Jackson carries the whole load for 4 games (I am not sure he can even do that), that he won't wear down later in the season, he isn't that big of a guy. Not sure I would rely on Oman yet. It will be hard to convince a quality veteran RB to come here knowing that he is mostly a stopgap while Lynch is out. If our schedule starts out against teams that the games could go either way (i.e. Miami, Jets, etc.), the RB position could costs us some games early in the season and ultimately a shot at the playoffs.

Like the other poster said, have you ever made a post about football or the Bills, or is your specialty criticizing other posts/posters on this board? -
Why Is Everyone Assuming Scheffler is a Bill?
billsfreak replied to CJPearl2's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
People have gone mad on this board, topped with a extra scoop of dreaming and fantasizing. Schefflers agent said no one was even in Buffalo, and some of these people on here already have his name above a locker-and probably stealing someone elses number to boot. I hope he comes here, but we are talking about the Buffalo Bills here, c'mon now. Lets let a trade happen before we put his name of the Wall of Fame in the Ralph. -
Bills new Do or Die attitude,
billsfreak replied to Tonawanda Troy's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
"Do or Die Attitude?" They have signed one player that would even start on another NFL team, you're not over exagerating are you? Daniel Snyder is a case of Do or Die Attitude. The moves we have made, may be more like a case of "Watch us Die Attitude!" -
correct me if I'm wrong, but is this totally off?
billsfreak replied to dave mcbride's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I don't think that the Bills FO has signed another team's FA that any winning team would have signed. All thier signings so far are a sign of the weak team they are and how tough it is to get very good players, with good attitudes and winning histories to come to Buffalo. We have signed the biggest Free Agency bust from 2008 to add to our Defensive Backfield, a career backup lineman to start for us and a extremely talented but obvious cancer that no other team in the entire NFL wanted, in fact some so called experts predicted he would never even get a contract at all, and the Bills signed him in a matter of a few days. -

Newest rumor-Scheffler a Bill?
billsfreak replied to toddgurley's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Myself and several others have been saying for almost 24 hours that if the agent was in town it was because of Scheffler and not Cutler. -

How Will All of the Cutler Talk Impact Trent?

Actually the Bills were mentioned in some places shortly after T.O. was released by the Cowboys. -
Sign Peters or trade him before the draft
billsfreak replied to LGB's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I agree, the holdout last year was such a distraction and a disruption for the offense. Moving Langston Walker back and forth from LT to RT, every player was being asked about it, the coaching staff didn't know if he was going to be there or not. Then when he did come back, for lack of a better term, he sucked. He was so out of football shape, that he had to be taken in and out of the first 3 or 4 games he played in, and he didn't play in the opener. Then when he did stay in, he was only a shell of the LT that he was in 2007, which I think has a direct connection to missing training camp. If he isn't going to be there on time and be motivated (if that is possible with him), I say get something for him and pass our problems onto someone else, kinda like the Cowboys did to us. -

First off, this is cut and pasted right from your post: "I know....let's trade every starter.....we'll surely be able to re-build a superbowl team with all of the draft picks. " So dont say you didn't say it. Now what is there yet for Peters to hold out from yet? They haven't had anything to hold out from. We'll see when workouts start if he shows up. See if he is there when camp starts, my guess is no unless he gets traded or gets the money he so doesn't deserve. Another cut and pasted: "Has he held out? Has he bitched & moaned?" You haven't read about him stating he wants to be the highest paid LT in the AFC, with a statement like that he is more qualified to be a standup comic than a LT. One More: "the Bills said "You're not getting one, but we'll give you one next year." Where you there to get a direct quote like this? -

Exactly, every time you change a head coach, GM, coaching staff, etc., it sets a team back a season or two. If Ralph would ever pay what other teams pay to get an established, successful head coach, we might have a little better luck. When was the last time the Bills hired a head coach that had a winning record as a head coach elsewhere? I believe the answer to that is Chuck Knox over 30 years ago (1978). Levy had a losing record in K.C., Wade Phillips had a losing record in Denver, every one else since then has been a joke. Once in awhile you get lucky hiring retreads (Levy), but for the most part, nothing changes. Levy and Phillips (along with Lou Saban) are the only ones that have a .600 winning percentage or better with the Bills, and Ralph forced two of them out of here. It starts at the top and only succeeds with continuity, which the Bills haven't had since Marv Levy left. -
If that were the case, JP would obviously be the first choice, but why does it hurt? Take some Motrin.
-
Thats a great idea! Now make him and Marshawn Lynch roomates and let them run the town together. If you do, lets get all the women and children, pedistrians and law obiding citizens out of town.

What makes it "obvious" that they were/are considering Culter?" just because some of us bored fans thought it up on these boards? -

Not sure why it would effect Trent. The only place a possible trade for Cutler is being discussed in on these boards, and my guess is Trent doesn't care what is said on here. If a trade was being discussed with his agent, it was more than likely for Tony Scheffler, the TE who is also his client, and would fill a bigger need on the Bills than Cutler would.
