Both games we played against NE last year were close...
billsfreak replied to SKOOBY's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I guess these stats pretty much put to rest any of the theory of the opening thread here. I don't think Edwards will ever have the arm to air out the ball like Bledsoe could, or as much as J.P. could if he was given the chance for that matter. Considering that Lynch will more than likely be out at least one of the Patriot games (opener), that will only make it tougher to score. -

We were out of both games against the Pats shortly after the opening kickoff last year. Since the they have made many more quality moves during the offseason than we have, what is going to make it different this year? One player cannot take one of the worst offenses in the NFL and turn it into a scoring machine. -
If that is the case that ESPN hates the Bills, obviously Chris Berman doesn't have too much pull there anymore.

Bills win on MNF will make them a crazy story for weeks

Or at least the closest we will come to a playoff victory any time soon. -
Informed Speculation - Buffalo Rumblings
billsfreak replied to BillsNYC's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I wouldn't have a problem with the Bills giving Peters a modest raise (maybe up his salary a 1 or 2 mil a year), but the price he is asking for, there is no way in h*ll he is worth anywhere near that. Last season he was one of the worst LT in the NFL, if not THE worst. I say if he holds out, screw him, wait until he comes back and put him on special teams, remind him where he came from, and that he probably wouldn't even be in the NFL if the Bills didn't take a flyer on him as an undrafted tight end out of college. If he comes back for game 10 so he doesn't lose out on a year of FA, then slap the Franchise Tag on him just to piss him off. -
Did you see the game at the Meadowlands? Obviously not.
-
Did you notice why he missed training camp? Becuase he is an underachieving whiner. And those who say these stats don't mean anything, is obviously not facing reality. Because he missed training camp could make him a little less effective for the first 3 or 4 games maybe, but he was still giving up game changing sacks in weeks 13 and later, which missing training camp should have nothing to do with. It isn't like he was learning to do something new? If he is this great Pro Bowl tackle, then all missing training camp should do is make him less in shape, and if he was a dedicated professional, he would have kept himself in shape on his own.

Even the local press really tries to mark T.O. a problem...
billsfreak replied to SKOOBY's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Why in the hell would he be in the Buffalo area if not to practice? The nightlife? It isn't the fact that he wont be in shape, because he will. It is in that it is his first year with a new offense, new teammates, new coaches, new fans, new city, new facilities, etc. For someone who complains that he gets an unfair shake as far as being a good teammate, and he always complains about that, you would think he would try to dispell that, and showing up would be the best way to do that. -
Lets hope if he shows, whatever he is going to show there are no kids around.

They are talking about possibly trading for Jason Peters
billsfreak replied to Tipster19's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
So if it does happen, then he will just want to be the highest paid tackle in the NFL instead of the AFC, another thing he is so far from deserving it is sickening. I say if you get a good deal, send him out of here. This routine is never gonna end, he will never be happy, put your problems off on someone else if you can. -
So Much For The Terrell Owens bash
billsfreak replied to millbank's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He must have Alzheimers then, because he says he isn't coming to any of the voluntary sessions. Either that or it is one long Award ceremony? This is just the start-brace yourself Bills fans, it will get ugly with time, count on it. Any new player on a team, much less one as celebrated and relied upon as T.O. is, should be there just to jell with his teammates and show he is a team player and not the self centered *ss that everyone knows he is. -
I feel that the T.O. Spotlight will raise the bar....

So far buried that it was pushing for Chinese citizenship. -
He is probably working out at T.O.'s house.

Can we get a petition set up
billsfreak replied to Glass To The Arson's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I might work for the MNF in New England, though I doubt it. My guess is it would never happen for the Toronto game, especially if the game isn't sold out, that would take away from potential ticket buyers in their view, and might actually violate the NFL's rule for games not sold out. I am assuming that the Ralph would be considered the same media market, since it is technically a home game-technically. -
We probably should see if there is a reason before we go all Helter Skelter on him. Actually, I am not sure it is voluntary for coaches, that voluntary stipulation is with the Players Union. If Ralph wanted to make it mandatory I believe he could. If he hasn't shown up in a few days, we probably should see if he is alright, then maybe we have a problem.

FWIW, Hardy got paid for giving-up #81
billsfreak replied to VOR's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
As well he should have gotten paid for #81, and along with that it makes Owens look like less of an A-Hole than the orinally published report did, with Owens saying #81 is his and he wasn't paying sh*t for it. -
Lynch won't be suspended in my view
billsfreak replied to SuperBills12's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Your view couldn't be more off. I think there might be about a 1 in 600 chances that Lynch doesn't get suspended. It is a given really. What better avenue for the Commish to get his word out than, "Look at this team on Monday night, without it's star RB-There are no exceptions." -
Compensatory picks are out
billsfreak replied to DanInSouthBuffalo's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I might be wrong, but I think the comp picks for the players we signed and lost this off season will be awarded at next years draft. I think these ones are for the offseason before the 2008 season. Otherwise we would get about a dozen, since we lost Losman this season (just kidding!). -
Compensatory picks are out
billsfreak replied to DanInSouthBuffalo's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Comp picks are based on players you lose. I don't think we lost anyone of any significance before last season, unless my memory is failing me. -
All indications are that it will be in New England. The NFL wants to give their "Darlings" every chance they can to win their first game. Don't think that their breaks stop at bad calls all going their way, the schedule makers do to.

He does now! You just told him.
