  1. Now we have more than one piece of lumber to lay on foes. Erick Wood and Robert Woods. Also we have EJ, CJ, SJ, FJ, and TJ. If things begin to progress the way we envision then the next acquisition could be an EZ. It seems like this could be Team Initial. What could all the J's stand for? Juggernaut??? :-)
  2. If Naaman is now clocked in at 4.4 (if accurate) he's 0.19 faster than Jerry Rice was. If this is really accurate, then shaving off 0.2 is quite a feat! He has Velcro hands and runs great routes. Naaman is two inches shorter than Rice though and I haven't yet found what his leaping ability is compared to the former All Star. I wish Naaman the best and wouldn't want to discount him. What's the most important thing though is that it seems he does not discount himself.
  3. Looks like the evolution of old Xybernaut gear. Interesting though.
  4. Astro, much appreciation sent your way. There are many of us fans way out in the periphery who do not get the chance to see development first hand like you do. Your camp insights and notes are very well received.
  5. That's a really good point. With the extra offensive plays expected to be run this season along with the idea of stretching the field, the Bills wideouts run the risk of getting winded. They'll get the chance to run other defenses ragged but hopefully not at the cost of running our wideouts ragged as well. Keeping 7 would help keep the stable fresh.
  6. In the past 7 might be a bit too much. From what I keep hearing this is a passing league now. In order to keep our 1's and 2's fresh we need quality backups. Since the league is gearing its rules to help wr's then our team needs more quality wr's to take advantage of such rules. We potentially have a stable of wideouts that can dominate if they live up to their potential. It's a passing league so I hear, so we need people who can take advantage of that. The more the merrier. Of course this is completely my unfounded refutable whimsical speculation. Go Bills!!!
  7. Ed McCaffrey. Not the fastest tall white guy but he could get open enough and catch what needed to be caught. 101 receptions from Elway in 2000. Kaufman is intrigueing. It is complete unfounded speculation on my part but I think Kaufman should be the 7th wr kept on the roster.
  8. I agree with you blzrul in that I hope you are wrong as well. Tuel seemed poised and had command of his situation. On average in this game he played against higher caliber competition than he did in college. It is not out of the question that new coaching which might understand his strengths played a possible part in his progression. Players who have been average in college for whatever reason have been known to progress to a new found level with the right coaching. Don't get down on your Tuel so soon. A proper Tuel in the hands of a skilled craftsman can provide surprising results. It is yet to be known what quality the coaches are but so far so good.
  9. Buftex, I would hope that The Rick is not exhibiting any slight portion of difficulties of what Titus Young gave the Lions fans. I really hope Rogers pans out but if he doesn't there are plenty of other rookies to be excited over.
  10. Law of averages. Maybe we've sucked so long that it's finally the Bills turn to regain composure, even if it comes from an UDFA. I'd much rather believe a turnaround comes from quality scouting, drafting and coaching though (and retention of quality players without paying up the ass) The law of averages makes everything average. I believe this team can be well above average and can sustain this for quite a while with proper leadership.
  11. It will be interesting when we get our first albino wideout.
  12. Without TiVo'ing the game it's hard to say how many plays he was in. I'd say though that at this point (my opinion) the coaching staff has already gained enough confidence to keep him. Therefor they put others in more plays such as Sampson, Hogan, Easley and Kaufman to help them try and decide who might round out the rest of the wr corps. I am intrigued by Kaufman and would like to see what he can offer. I hope Sampson and Hogan keep contributing to make this the most difficult wr cut year of memory. With this potential of talent I believe Brad Smith is expendable. My opinion on such matters matters not much considering my inexperience in coaching but nonetheless it's an opinion.
  13. lol. Thanks, I probably would have missed the game otherwise. This is the most impressive preseason game I've seen in a while. There seems to be a lot of promise in front of us.
  14. This team showed up prepared and well coached. It will be exciting to see if they can continue this next week.
  15. I'm thinking foolishly about this but what if Tuel someday turns out to be our Brady? That would blow my mind. We can't be that lucky.
  16. Roger Goebbels. Rules and restrictions can be taken a bit too far.
  17. Will frankenburgers lead to frankenpeople? Feed it to the masses and in a few generations we shall see what develops. It's all about the $$$. Who cares about the health. I think I'll try one for curiosity's sake
  18. I just got caught up on season 2 on Netflix. Wow the Swede is as kooky as the preacher. I wish Lilly Belle had topped off her pistol before going at it with the Swede. I'm sorry to see her go like that since she was hot and an interesting character. If she had made sure her pistol was always full like any sensible pistolero then perhaps she would be gracing us with her hotness in season 3. Durant's wifey is a bezatch. She reminds me of my ex-boss. I was surprised to see that Bohannon had a hidden cultured side to him. Very much looking forward to season 3.
  19. Interesting question. I believe a successful season in EJ's eyes would be if he exceeds what his opponents expect of him but more importantly if he equals or surpasses his own expectations for himself. I'm not sure what a certain number of TD's, Ints, yards or wins would constitute a successful season. Does he have the potential for Big Ben rookie numbers? Yes I think it's possible. Can the rest of the team complement his efforts at this point in time. That remains to be seen but it's not out of the question.
  20. I just watched the movie Kind Hearts and Coronets. I do not discount EJ considering Alec Guinness' strategy in the movie to move upwards in his station.
  21. What's his speed without cleats?
  22. I've prolly had more to drink tonight than you Canks but what is sigend? I wish Levitre had wanted to stay at a reasonable price but it didn't happen. We shall see whether Tennesee's big payout will pay them dividends. Levitre wanted his big $ more than he wanted to stay so it's best to stop crying over it. Move on please. Btw, gosh we really do need a decent LG. We can be fine without a pro bowler but the team needs someone whom Wood does not need to babysit this full season. What a dilemma. Levitre asked for too much though. His high asking price if delivered by the Bills could and most likely would have had dire long term consequences in the event other quality players would ask for too high of a new contract. I suppose we could have paid Levitre and guaranteed losing Byrd. But then our O-Line would be asking for too much next year and the next. Levitre just asked for too much IMO. bowery, a proper troll emoticon might resemble the sight of a mixture of a mossy, green toenail fungus intermingled with the last breath of a dying toadstool. I believe some peeps find it a humorous distraction.
  23. This is a pretty cool thread. I think eball's avatar can stand the test of time. I enjoy Pilsner Urquell while watching the Bills play. Couple this with cute German bar maids (one of my weaknesses) and there you have it.
  24. I agree. Happy 4th everyone!
  25. Bind Me Bert might get ideas.
