Brohm should start last 2 games
Pilsner replied to I hate the Bills !'s topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
You make a good point about trying to find out what Brohm can show. (Gosh it's hard to concentrate while staring at your avatar) Imo the thing is that with Fitz starting and getting the snaps it allows us to see what other young guys have to offer such as the wide receiver corps. It's very much needed to find out what these young guys can do and Fitz gives them the opportunity to show their worth. If Brohm starts the last two games then we might not see the quality throws to the receivers that the coaches desire to evaluate them. Also with Brohm at the helm we would most likely be playing from behind from the get go and the opposing team would just start running the ball. We will therefor not be able to evaluate our pass rush further. I would be ok with evaluating our wide outs more with less evaluation of Brohm. There are pros and cons to both views. Honestly it is a little discomforting not knowing what kind of quality we have behind Fitz. But maybe the coaching staff already knows this? We will see by what happens in FA and in the draft. In the end I would rather our team learn a winning attitude. And evaluate talent while trying to win. -
LOL, dev/null, that's my kinda thinking. Make the most of what is at hand. Ladies luv the pole.

lol bowery, I think of fishnets on a hot chick even when I'm not thinking of this thread. Fishnets, high heals, tight skirt... ok i'm veering away from the thread topic. blame it on the pre-christmas cabernet... Also: this thread has 83 posts and over 5,000 views so far. Makes me wonder what it's like on the jests message boards. The topic must be confusing their fans to hellz.

Happy Festivus to you too ActionJackson. I've had some grievances but not dwelling on them. Just happy the ship seems to be turning around for the better. There's too much damn promise for this team to really dwell on the bad stuff at the moment

Christmas wishes to all my Bills brethren and sisteren
Pilsner replied to Pilsner's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Thanks Dean. All the best to you too. I have a feeling my avatar will have quite a hangover the next several days. -
I'm posting this now because many of you will probably be quite busy Friday doing last minute shopping, preparing for family to arrive, or will be on the road to see loved ones. This season has been one hell of a ride. From the lows and depths of a 0-8 start to an improved and promising finish. I wish you all loyal Bills fans (whether you are celebrating, Christmas, Hanukkah, Yule, Kwanzaa, or another faith) a joyful and safe time with your loved ones. It's the time of the year to reflect on what's important in life. I'm thankful to have a loving family, wonderful friends, and loyal to the bone die hard Bills fans such as most of you here. So here's to you all (raises glass), may you all have a wonderful, memorable holiday with the ones dear to you. Even to the Trolls, I wish you more than just a lump of coal. Have a great Christmas and holiday everyone! P.S. On Sunday (win or lose) may the Bills pound Brady senseless and rip out every strand of his hair extensions! Go Bills!!!

If it was a home game we could've asked the Jills to prance around barefoot and Rex would be so enamored he would blow all his calls.

I'm not kidding one bit. A Super Bowl win would be awesome for Buffalo. If the Bills are able to win one they better be built to win multiple. A Super Bowl win is a great achievement but after a few seasons it's forgotten by the rest of the league. What I want is a legacy. Yes I agree, baby steps. But in the end Multiple Super Bowls is the goal I want this franchise to achieve. An accomplishment that will always be remembered. I'm sick of hearing about the Patsies and cowboys many super bowl wins. I'm talking about establishing a Bills legacy here. Nothing less in my eyes.

Fair enough. He's not all world. But if we get other aspects of the team improved Fitz can take us places. If our D can turn into a monster then Fitz can take us all the way imo. Only time will tell.
-
I see Tgreg's point of view. I don't agree with it but I see where he's coming from. If this team can build a quality D and get a good TE then as another poster said we're "in business"
-
Alrighty, the net isn't conducive to gauging sarcasm without hearing the inflection in the voice. Good sarcasm is cool tho.

They're not losers in my book. I proudly tell my friends that the Bills were the ONLY team to go to 4 Super Bowls in a row. Sure they should have won some of them if not all. But simply going to 4 in a row is a feat that might never be replicated. Ever. With our new crop of guys and our new coach maybe we can win one or even more. Go Bills!!!

Multiple Super Bowl wins is what's needed by this franchise. MULTIPLE. We need to build a long term contender. Winning one Super Bowl would be Great. But I hope I won't be the only one here satisfied with just one.
-
Also the raiders are in need of a good qb.
-
If he is a troll then I will just call him bunny rabbit. From the movie Harvey with Jimmy Stewart.
-
They do seem to complement each other very well don't they.
-
Chan is currently evaluating his young wide receiver corps by having a quality qb such as Fitz throw to them. Sure Chan can play Brohm, but at the same time he won't get a good idea of which of his wideouts are worth keeping and progressing. It can go both ways. I can see your view about evaluating Brohm, but perhaps Chan isn't too high on him and would rather see what the receivers have to offer. Or maybe Chan is fine with Brohm and has enough on him to have a good gauge of his ability and therefor wants to spend time evaluating the receivers to see who is worth keeping. Either way talent is being evaluated to further the team.

With the young tools at his disposal Fitz has shown he can move this offense. Now we need a good D, a ferocious D even. Fitz can and will win more games with a more experienced O and D that is more than below average.
-
Fitz is the man period. He keeps this team glued together.

0-8 to begin, 4-2 finishing up and it's not over yet
Pilsner replied to Pilsner's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yes I agree, Chan does call it like it is. He's very matter of fact about things and holds people accountable. If someone doesn't hold up their end, they're gone. If they pull their weight they get their just due. He's a teacher as well who maximizes the most of our talent. Perhaps maximize is an understatement... He stretches and squeezes every last drop of productivity out of his players. Or at least tries to. -
Anybody feel like owning up...

I predicted a 6 to 10 win season. I was quite wrong about that one. But I'm very pleased with how the team is finishing off the 2nd half of the season. Very promising indeed. -
What a way to begin the season, stumbling with new inexperienced players, changing over to the 3-4 and bringing back a mix of 4-3. Starting off with Trent, switching to Fitz, along with questions on the O-line. That first half of the season was hard to stomach. Now the 2nd half is coming along much more nicely. Chan is putting the pieces together and figuring out what works for us. More experience under the belts of our young guys. Players like Moats and Troup contributing. Kyle Williams with an explosive season. Stevie and David Nelson coming on strong. Our O-line coming together. Fitz putting his stamp on this team. This is only the beginning of the turn around imo. Chan has made the most of the pieces available to him. Danny Batten and Easley will come back next season healthy. If we draft well watch out. Add in a good mix of good FA's and wow. This can be the beginning of something special. We've struggled so long against divisional opponents. It was effin great to smear the fish today! Now the Patsies r up and then the jests. Let's finish off this season strong and put a sour taste in their mouths and give them an idea of future things to come. This is one of the most exciting seasons I've experienced in quite a while because I can see things finally turning around.
