Gailey says while OT is not a crying need......
Pilsner replied to JStranger76's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
You beat me to it. I don't understand why some would suggest moving Bell to RT. You stated the reason for him staying at LT as clearly as can be. -
LOL. Is Ross Gailey or Nix or both? I haven't seen that vid in quite a while. classic.

I thought about starting a new thread about this. Prolly no one of any significance associated with another team will be on here but I'm not taking any chances with my silly notions. If Chan and Buddy think Cam is the man then so be it and I will trust their judgement, especially Chan's on this. But I must say that after how Chan proved once again how he can coach up a qb yet again and amplify his qb's talent, that more teams must realize by now that perhaps he knows his schitt and can analyze a qb's potential. Chan can use this potential observation to lead teams to think Cam is our target (if we don't want him and want someone else to slide to us.) Or if Chan and Buddy really do want Cam then I suppose they will talk him up to a limit. Offseason is slow, just throwing out random thoughts. In no way or form am I advocating Cam as our future QB pick. Just speculating as to what the Bill's smoke screening might be up to.

Dolphins Franchise Paul Soliai
Pilsner replied to Ghost of Rob Johnson's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
No need to fret. The fishies can eat his salary and there's a chance Soliai will sit and be lazy on his payday year. We can find another Samoan elsewhere. With Troup's desire to succeed he will improve and it's not like we won't find another NT in FA or in the draft. Make the most of what is at hand. -
jboyst... great job. You da man. Typing fingers with the speed of light. I'm so glad we have Gailey. Buddy will have to appease many fans on here with a great upcoming draft. If Ralph does happen to pass sooner than later, I would hope the new ownership keeps the fledgeling dynamic duo or shall I say trio (can't forget Whaley) and let's them show what they're capable of. Just my gut feeling and I'm sure I'm not the only one who thinks Chan can analyze qb's better than almost anyone out there. If there's a qb worth getting we'll pursue him. In the process we'll upgrade our sieve of a run D.

Buddy and Chan (in my opinion) very well know if there's a franchise qb or qb's in this draft or if it's devoid of them. I cannot expect any interviewer to get a true answer from these two until after the draft. They are giving pros and cons to players as they should. It's all about smoke screens. Don't show your cards. Even if they straight out say who they will draft by name (and mean it) other teams will take it as a smoke screen. Being blunt about taking a waterbug last year could throw teams off this year. We shall see who drafts best and who has the best poker face. This will be one exciting draft.

I agree, I would like free agency to happen before the draft as well. If after the draft then FA's can hold our balls (other teams as well) and ask for whatever $ they want. Whoever we draft for our 1st pick had better have the talent and also the drive and work ethic to support such a high pick. No one year wonders. I think it's highly unlikely that we'll draft at 3 or higher in a very long time (barring a trade up scenario). So we might as well make the most of this and draft a guy who will be a pure stud and will want to be with us long term.

If we pursued and got Zach Miller (Boss would be nice too) I would do gymnastics in joy that would probably break my back. We need to solidify the TE position that has glaryingly been ignored for years. We had no real TE last year and we saw what Gailey could do despite that. Imagine gentlemen what Chan could do with a legit TE. Another 7 points a game on the board perhaps? Even half that 3.5 would be great. If Nix has a certain TE in the draft targeted then awesome. I hope he gets him. Rudolph perhaps. We need to upgrade the front 7 in a big way and if we can get a solid TE thru FA (if there is a free agency this year) then it will go a long way towards helping us focus on what other positions we need to draft. Throw our picks then into a RT and the front 7. Honestly if we all as a group here were given responsibility to make the draft picks for the past 10 plus years we could and would have done better than the previous GM's. Here's to hoping Nix and company will pursue the right FA's and can also help Ralph see the clear path.

High School Wrestler refuses to face female wrestler
Pilsner replied to \GoBillsInDallas/'s topic in Off the Wall Archives
There is a chance you could be right. But it really depends on what his thinking will be of this later on in life. I suppose only time will tell. He seems fairly adamant about his view on the subject though. As always, time changes people's views. I still think he won't have any regrets. I'm not necessarily siding with his view on this, but just respect his take on it. As always I try and keep an open mind on matters as I hope all others do. -
Personally I like girls with long legs. I hope she isn't one of those ladies who is worried about dating a guy who is shorter than she is. Come to think about it, what guy wouldn't be shorter? Save for Manut Bol or Robert Wadlow.

I commend you for your Bills loyalty! I'm in California and have never been to Buffalo but you are even further away than I. Congrats on having a die hard Buffalo girl as your fiance! You are one very lucky man. Your post is effin awesome!

Good thing the Bills aren't a Cent. Am. Soccer Franchise
Pilsner replied to JoeF's topic in Off the Wall Archives
Wow, ya some soccer fans are a bit too fanatical and take it too far. He won't be the last of soccer casualties. People take their soccer fandom too seriously in many cases. Good thing for Ralph he's not in the soccer team owning business right now. -
High School Wrestler refuses to face female wrestler
Pilsner replied to \GoBillsInDallas/'s topic in Off the Wall Archives
I agree that he wasn't concerned at all about any ideas of sexual attraction. In such a competitive level like this, sexual attraction shouldn't be a part of an athlete's thinking (they are supremely focused on the task at hand). It speaks to the value he places in his ideals that he was willing to forfeit. He'll have no regrets about this throughout his life...imo. -
LOL thanks Senator. I woke up late this morning and with horror on my face realized I had quite a bit to drink when I posted and was trying to remember what I'd written and if I had made a fool out of myself. Thank goodness my post wasn't as random and horrid as I first thought. I really should post less though after having more than a few drinks. Would lessen the erosion of my credibility.

Yeppers. But if she held a pint or stein it would improve her doability factor Her classy look is a plus though.

High School Wrestler refuses to face female wrestler
Pilsner replied to \GoBillsInDallas/'s topic in Off the Wall Archives
You can occasionally find cute girls who like to wrestle. One of my ex's was an ex cheerleader and the night we first hooked up, we wrestled a bit at a party. I let her win and when she was on top of me smiling in victory I said I lost. My buddy was in the crowd watching said "no, you won." Some cute girls can be quite feisty like that. Don't let a pretty face make you think a girl won't jump on and grapple with you I respect this guy's views though. It would be difficult to think of being physically aggressive (competitively) with a girl. -
Yeah, I've been wondering where Dean's been. K-2 huh? on a hiking excursion?

It's hilarious in a way but to a point. Seriously though that's messed up that his descendants changed the pronunciation and spelling of his name to bales? I know names have been changed in past centuries and eons more than we care to know. But really, this is disrespectful to the man's and family's name. If people wish to make fun of his name then so be it. But it shows their lack of class. I can't fathom seeing a man's/family's name being changed due to the lack of understanding of current society in a case like this. It's their choice though and i can respect that. But inwardly it's such a folly to me. I suppose there are exceptions I haven't thought of but to relinquish like this is such... oh I cannot even think about it...

I'll second that motion. Adrianne is a babe and a half. If her show bombs I hope she gets another shot at stardom. She's hot as hellz. She was great in Friday Night Lights.

Winston Churchill was the shite. One who I would consider to lead the vanguard of the forlorn hope. Oh and yes whole wheat rocks

The never ending thread. /dev/null what have you created? Even the sand worms cannot procure an antidote to end this. Let the never ending thread live on. I cannot see another thread surpassing this one's thirst for life.

Warren Sapp rates Dareus over Fairley
Pilsner replied to Beerball's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
LOL! So true! -
Ralph can say what he wants. He owns the team and it's his prerogative. However, this may be just me (it probably is, but I'm saying it anyhow) Ralph is at a point in age when he can say whatever he wants, whether it be feasible or not. Nix and Gailey are both also gents of an elderly demeanor. Nix is close to the twilight of his career and some might consider Chan close to it too (I do not though. Chan might have another 10+ years considering his determination and frame of mind to form a competitive team. I'm sure he would sock me in the face if he heard me utter the word twilight.) What I'm getting at is... (speculation on my part but in my heart I believe this) Nix and Gailey speak Ralph's language more so than any other in well over a decade...Nix and Gailey (and Whaley too) talk to Ralph and have gotten his confidence... Have convinced him of what really needs to be done to upgrade the team to improve it... But Ralph, being his ripe old age still speaks his mind (which isn't a bad thing, but yet is outspoken about getting a QB whether this said qb is available in this year's draft or not.) I'm just worried that Ralph might blather a bit. If he does, I don't blame him. If and when i'm his age, I expect to have some interesting blathering sessions myself. It can be considered a slap in the face to Fitzy with how Ralph speaks of upgrading the qb position, but Fitz (in my eyes)is even keeled and level headed and he has the presumption to realize he has Gailey's confidence to lead the team. Fitzy is steadfast in this assertion imo. No amount of Ralph's questioning judgement will avert Fitz from leading this team. Fitz is not the second coming of Jim Kelly, but with the proper supporting cast, Fitzy can lead this team to a title if he keeps improving. No one will ever deter him from this thought. Determination alone will not get you everything you want but if you have the right pieces in place to help you, then...things can happen. Gailey's unwavering confidence in Fitzy and Fitzy's desire to succeed (and a continued improvement in play) can nullify Ralph's desire for an upgrade in a qb. Words...what are they? just words...Who really lets words or opinions keep you from accomplishing what you think you really can? Go Bills!!!

This is a man committed to style. Good for him and great that he's pursuing his passion.

If there was no such thing as the Buffalo Bills then I would be a hard core 49ers fan. Why oh why Buffalo do you have to be so far away. I'm always rooting for the Niners except when they play the Bills. And I root for any team that plays the raiders or patsies. I'm a Rodgers fan too so the Pack is good in my book.
