I'm still shamelessly trying to get the name Jasper the Jiant to catch on. If he mauls qb's then maybe it'll happen.
-
He's already getting measurements for the yellow jacket
-
Why are you holding back? He's hall of fame material already. IMO Jasper has a much better chance at making a good contribution to our team than most previous 7th round picks (that's not saying a lot). Stevie and several of our other starters prolly have lit an additional fire under his ass (not like he needs the extra motivation) to succeed. I sincerely hope he turns into a beast. Given 3 years of good to great coaching he could be a steal. I want him to succeed so badly. We'll see how good his instincts are and how quickly he learns.

Even though James Arness was before my time I recall him being an icon of his era. His passing is a reminder to me that I should watch some Gunsmoke episodes beginning with the very first one. RIP Mr. Arness.

I can't believe I'm so late on this one. Thank you all who served and put your life in harms way for our country. I cannot thank you enough. Thanks for the linky Beerball. That's one place I'd def like to see first hand and owner whom it would be a privilege to meet. A B-17 comes to my area from time to time. Next time it's here I'll gladly pay their fee/donation to help keep these classics aloft.

I'm sorry about the loss of your loved one Mead. Losing a parent is beyond words.

That's a pretty cool part of history. Good timing with the Pirates of the Caribbean movie that's out. Shiver me timbers, what a nice find. -
I remember him more from Babylon 5 than from his other works. RIP

Spiller on Prisco's list of 20 Breakout players of 2011
Pilsner replied to bills44's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Being a realistic optimist I think Spiller will do better this year than last. He'll be hampered a bit by lack of carries due to Jackson. He definitely needs to learn to pass block. That better be one of his top or even the highest priority in his book. Sure he could turn out to be a bust. But he could also grow into a player such as McFadden or better. Thinking he'll turn into a stud is not unrealistic. Personally I believe he will. He just needs to learn to pass block and be more patient with his O-line blocking for him. On a side note, I plan on picking up Spiller in my fantasy draft (if there's a season and if he drops as I expect he will unless some sports writers list him as a breakout player). Some people are so damn negative on this board. Being realistic does not mean one has to be negative. Realistic views can also see growth. -
Very sad indeed. But something needs to be done about it. I'm glad there are people asking questions there and many most likely will not quit until much more is revealed. This isn't something that is just let go (by honest people). Allowing this to get pushed under the rug will just let such injustices happen again. This type of thing just really sticks in my craw. Sadly, the higher ups involved might be looking for a scapegoat by now. Blaming it on marine Guerena just won't hold water the way they would like.
-
Absolutely disgusting what happened to this marine and his family. The cover up is extremely disturbing as well. This type of injustice just makes my blood boil. I hope the truth comes out and those at fault pay a high price.

What positives do you see coming into this season ?
Pilsner replied to Scrappy's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Bunny Rabbit, I will concede that making the playoffs this coming season will be a tough chore. I'll never say it's out of the question tho. Sheppard, Dareus, Williams, Searcy and hopefully Hairston willl be contributing sooner than later. We will be severely challenged this season but I think most will see we are upgrading our talent for long term success. I've been as frustrated over the past decade as I'm sure you have been, but let's think long term here. We're building something solid and instant gratification isn't numero uno. Harvey you are one vocal Bills fan, I'll grant you that. Think positive because that's what this thread is about. -

Tougher schedule is fine. If we can't win against tougher competition then we r not worth much. Who wants a soft schedule anyway. Soft schedules prove nothing. I prefer a tougher schedule over a soft one. If hard we go into the playoffs with the proper experience. If soft our guys have a higher chance of getting shellacked in the playoffs. Hard schedule will make our guys tough as nails for when we make the postseason. -
I fully agree jboyst. I would luv to wake up one morning to see her smiling face. Now as to a rapture draft. What an awesome concept lol

No administration of any sort is truely exempt from zombie influence. -

Guarantees just aren't what they used to be. The term has lost it's luster. -

One thing they missed is the ol standard issue double barrel shottie. You never ever go into a zombie fray without it. Also head shots. A machete is good too because it never runs out of ammo. -
I would rather follow a variation of Lord Horatio Nelson. "England (in our case Bills Nation) expects that every man will do his duty." and also, "I have always been a quarter of an hour before my time, and it has made a man of me." Perhaps I have lots to learn about Willie, but all I know is Horatio Nelson rocks. Even some of his foes are to be respected.

I have a great appreciation for history and often read about it. On many an occassion I wonder about the degrees of separation between elderly gents with peeps of the past. At this point in time it's still not out of the question that a live person is only 2 degrees of separation from one who was involved in the Revolutionary War. The odds now are supremely slight but yet still it's conceivable. For example Ralph in his younger years could have met John D Rockefeller who passed in the early 1930's but was born in the late 1830's (if memory serves). John D could have met any number of Revolutionary heros in their elderly years. Ralph's time on Earth just puts a lot of things in perspective.

11:19pm 20th May 2011 and so far the world is still in one piece (well at least in Cali). Who knows about the eastern hemisphere since it's now 21st of May there. Every other Eastern time zone must already be absorbed into the void by now. But Cali stubornly stands steadfast against oblivion -
Lol there is a trend here SJ. Bills r growing a fan base in Greece

New SN's, Defend Greece and Athens Thunder? Who's next to join the Bills fandom, Socrates' Wild Hammer? This is a Greek rejuvenation of sorts. In any case welcome honorable Greek Bills fans
