I'm not a big fan of Herm for his coaching abilities but he did give great advice. There is a group of players that is level headed and open to the advice although they probably already go by it. Another group will be so into themselves that the advice will go in one ear and out the other. A 3rd group is somewhere in the middle and it is this group that imo Herm can have the most effect on.
I think our last two drafts lean towards the first group.
I like to watch a good mix of both skills. Or at least a little bit of one or the other. I appreciate seeing good skilled volleying. When I play I pretty much bring my tent and firewoood and camp at the net. Well placed lobs hurt tho :0
Thanks for the linky San Jose. Good interview. Stevie really does have the right approach to the game. His mentality should easily rub off on the other players.
Harvey you're not the only one here who wants a solid O-line. I want some studs on our line, road graders and pass blockers extraordinaire. But the new staff can only fix so many things at once. Considering how they drafted to try and upgrade the D, I'm ok with what we have atm on the O-line. There's still time to upgrade it there in FA. If the team had invested picks into the O-line, then many others on this board would be bitching about how clueless the FO is about neglecting the porous D. I think the team has a plan and will fix things in steps.
Bunny rabbit, sometimes you have a way of bringing up good points. But I hope the organization will exceed your expectations in time. I think they will.
When our team wins it's first of many SB's I'll be looking forward to everyone celebrating. Naysayers and optimists. But mostly optimists.
Those players of the 80's and early 90's were great. Even though Brad Gilbert wasn't the most talented I liked his game because he made more with less. He maximized what he had. I'll try to watch the Final match if I'm able to. You're not the only big fan of tennis and soccer ajzepp. Also don't forget Edberg.
Chan will get more respect as he rights this ship. Of course he'll make some errors as it is to be human but a righting he will go. Keep adding good talent for his genius mind to play with and we shall see what happens.
I think we're on our way up and I believe in Gailey. It's going to be damn exciting to see our good young talent grow into their roles. If Chan is the guy who can do more with less, then after we continue to get more talent, I'd like to see if he can do A LOT More with More.
I always thought Gradkowski should've been a Bill from the beginning.
Now as to what signing would really make me happy. Either Miller or Boss. Or both. I don't care what order they get signed as long as they become a Bill. Both young studs who can grow with our team.
Soccer is one of the ultimate team sports. I plan on learning more about the cups and as always, I read and learn from all you knowledgeable fans. One day I hope to know enough to contribute to the soccer threads.
