I can't wait for Merriman to put in a full 4 quarters on the chiefs and lay some serious lumber. Even if he were to miss the whole season, our D would still be very much improved over last year. My buddies and I had our fantasy draft on Wednesday night. Usually I pick your typical well known solid D such as pittsburg. But this time I figured let's make it interesting and more exciting. With the very last pick of our draft I gladly selected the Bills D. Our D has so much damn potential and it will be growing and growing before our very eyes. If our guys stay healthy it will be scary good. Go Bills!!!

Is it possible that Martin might be one of the first to go to make room for a backup O-lineman who we should pick up from other teams' cuts? Perhaps Martin's hold of 83 might be very temporary. If Ruvell really brings it then it's just a pleasant surprise for us.

Spiller hasn't yet lived up to all the hype and to his draft status, but I'm not worried about this as much as some. He has a solid starter in front of him named Fred Jackson, so Spiller will learn and bide his time. CJ will bypass the Maybin line and shoot straight for the sea. He will cut off any semblance of backtracking that the true trolls will have. (just having a little fun with this.) Some people just love to B word. And no matter how well the Bills eventually become, B word you will, cause there is nothing that satisfies you more so than that. So it will take time imo, Spiller will make a run for the coast and cut off most of your doubts. (except for the doubts that the whiners will always have no matter what) My prediction: He won't become as good a pass blocker as Thurman, he won't read his blocks as well as Thurman, (honestly who will have all of Thurman's skills?) but he has the tools to become an outstanding back for us for years to come. Let's give this man a chance to grow without us being such whiny bezatches. I say bypass the Maybin line, an end around to the sea all the way and cut off the whiners and their endless supplies of bitchiness. Go Bills!!! Edit: After upgrading the D, we shall see how well Spiller progresses once the O-line is upgraded next season. Some people on here just boggle my mind so that I don't even bother posting sometimes. I'm glad Kyle wants to finish his career with the Bills. Money is a big factor but I believe we're now drafting players who want to finish what they start. We are getting players who are loyalty oriented. We are turning into the anti Raiders, Bungles and Redskins. This is the beginning of one united group and it will become difficult for one to think of jumping ship for more money. Team unity and chemistry such as what is forming here is very unusual. This is beyond what we will normally see in the NFL.

Vick did get the best advice to go to Philly. But Goodell or anyone in his inner circle should not have been a part of this advice giving process. It's unethical tampering plain and simple. I'm glad it came out so we are all more aware, informed and cautious. I suppose it's best to gather more info to confirm this incident. Many, including me on occassion jump on something too quickly without doing proper due diligence. But if this is all true then effin f#%k goodell for tampering. It's all about ethics. And doing what's right.

This is a pretty big deal. Atrocious actually. Also it's not out of the question that a stipulation Goodell had for Vick was that he not speak a word of this. Oops. Going into 2nd year with this current GM and coach. Patience people, patience. I think PTR said it best, as well as a few others in another earlier thread. "They have a bunch of good young receivers. If they kept Evans then we lose a Donald Jones or Naaman Roosevelt. If Gailey thinks these guys are worth keeping then why hang on to a guy who is on the backside of his career? Is trading Evans risky? Yes. But the payoff is that these new guys turn into a solid receiving corps. PTR" By the time our Bills become a powerhouse, Evans career would be slowing down too much. Not everyone has to agree, but at least see the logic in this. Have restraint from hitting that panic button.

I don't hate Davis at all. He can be an asset but I'm just hoping White shows enough promise to make older average level vets expendable.
