This was a down game. It happens to the best teams. Bills will right this soon enough. I don't want to mention the refs cuz I should be over them by now. Overall on the upswing and a promising future ahead of us. 3-1 is a lot better than some here envisioned at the start of the season.
-
Other teams will try to expose our D like the bungles did. Down to earth? I think more like we just had a down game. I expect the team to be back up to earth this season.

Tolstoy I don't laugh at your screen name. I think it's great. War and Peace is one to be read. Tolstoy inspired the likes of Ghandi to greater achievement. So I'm cool with your sn.

Stop worrying Tolstoy. If u can't control it, then worrying solves nothing. The Bills are getting better and improving every week. Young players keep getting valuable experience which will benefit the team later on. Just enjoy the ride. There will be upswings and downswings but if u chart the graph, it will keep swinging upward... and upward. Vision. If you see what is being built and what is to come then y worry? You did write Anna Karenina, and although u being a pacifist, I do see some worrying tendencies later in the novel. Well maybe slight worries, so I will give u sum slack on this worrying notion of yours :-p But really, worry less and enjoy more.

Freddy J 24th highest paid Bill, 42nd highest paid RB
Pilsner replied to Beerball's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Freddie will get paid. He knows that and so do the Bills. No need for sum peeps to fret. It won't be a huge $ deal because of his age. But it will be adequate enough to satisfy both parties. With his fresh legs he should be highly productive for us for at least 2-3 years. Like many here I want him to retire a Bill. He's the class act I envision all future great Bills to be. -
I would always prefer to defer. Shut down their first drive and score immediately. Demoralize the other team right off the bat and get the ball to begin the 3rd quarter. But that's just me.

I can't wait to see a future SI cover saying "The BIG Bad Bills are Back!"

When you have the talent and attitude and then you mix in a generous amount of character, it will go a long ways towards sustained success imo.

Marvin Lewis Guarantee Victory over Buffalo
Pilsner replied to AReed Deep For 7's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This Bills team doesn't have the character deficiencies to overlook an opponent. They won't let themselves get too cocky and look beyond this game. Young as they are in many ways they are wise beyond their years. -
You're right, this really is like a family. A tight knit group getting better together at an unbelievable rate. Just luved it when Thurman gave Freddie that growling bear hug during his presser. A family of past and present moving forward together.

I luv it!!!

I would be willing to share half my dagwood with the Football Gods. To me that is nothing of insignificance to share. So they better enjoy and give us what our team has earned.

From where will YOU be watching the game?
Pilsner replied to Whites Bay's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Been on the road for the first two games and will be yet again for the 3rd. But will be listening on the radio. Thank goodness to iphone apps. Can't effin wait to finally be home for the 4th game and beyond to enjoy beer and more Bills victories! I might even search for and go to a Bills backer bar for the first time. Never been to one but so far i'll be cool with waking up early, building a massive dagwood, and drinking massive quantities of eye of the hawk while watching shakey streaming of the Bills on sum random site. Can't get any better than that!!! One day will go to a Bills Backers Bar. Coulda, shoulda, woulda, chilled with New Era in Vegas for the first game but was buzy with family. Ah well, more memorable games to come Go Bills!!! -
Bowery, can u share ur team on Sundays?
-
Cuz if it's not "we" or "us" then y r we even here? We have to as fans feel as if we are a part of this team or culture. This is a question i would ask. but i'm too buzzed atm to. Good question tho!

***The OFFICIAL I've sinned against my fanhood thread ***
Pilsner replied to Scrappy's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I was wrong. I expected Fitzy to be well above average, but not greatly above average. I expected Andra Davis to be average but he's doing better I want fitz to grow into a monster! -
All of New England's secondary is banged up
Pilsner replied to 1B4IDie's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
There's no honor or respect gained from stealing a victory. How about we effin blow their socks off?! Or better yet, slay them. -
You can vomit all you want. I prefer winners who are hard working optimists. No need for them to be separate. Exactly.

A lot of fans have said in the past that we need to have "realistic" expectations. No matter how optimistic some of us have been, there are many who try to temper our enthusiasm. Be realistic they say. I can see why many have been cautious because of the past 10 plus years. Also there are the cup half empty posters who are never satisfied and cannot see any positives in anything. Well do you know what is "realistic"? We are 2-0 and improving! No matter if this team beats the Pats or not, the Bills are on the upswing! Now that is what I call "realistic". I'm so glad that the players on the team and the coaching staff are hard working optimists with talent. When's the last time you heard of a pessimistic general who won? This is a team that I can really get behind. It's not perfect but what team is? It's being built into something that has powerhouse potential. We are seeing it being built before our very eyes. Realism is that this team is improving every week. Realism is that this team will win games. Realism is that we have more reason to cheer! I'm a hard core Bills fan and will forever look for the positives. Go Bills!!!

You're such a downer. Enjoy the win you damn troll!! Go Bills!!!

Lol thanks for the invite New Era I'll be arriving into Vegas late tho due to some stops along the way then to the airport to pick up some friends. I've never been to a Bills Backers bar. Some day tho! Have a great time! Go Bills!!!

It looks like for the first time in years the Grinch is finally getting run out of town. He won't get the chance to spoil our Christmas like in years past. I can't wait to see our D in action tomorrow! I'll be on the road headed to Vegas during the game but will be listening intently on the radio. I haven't felt this excited for an opening game in a long long time. The anticipation has been driving me crazy and I've been making everyone around me, family, friends and coworkers well aware of it!

Why is no one talking Wannstadt?
Pilsner replied to PromoTheRobot's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Maybe the O can grow beards and the D can sport staches. Wanstache will have a big impact this season. No longer will our D be a doormat. This is just the beginning of a great defense.
