  1. Who does not recall seeing him on the sidelines? He's a man I've never had any animosity towards. I have a feeling he's missed by many loyal Cowboys fans. RIP Mr. Avezzano. And thank you for contributing to the sport we are fanatics of/about.
  2. Does Floyd have Meacham speed? Cause it's this speed that Buddy wants at the very least. Combined with size and other obvious skills. If we can get a Stud wr in the first, a solid LT who can start right away or push Hairston in the 2nd, a good defensive player in the 3rd and even, should I even dare say, a certain Boise State QB in the 4th I would be learning a jig quite soon! Kahlil in the 1st if he slides to us might be ok too. I haven't read up on his character yet or his work habits but I hope they are impeccable.
  3. Yes, agreed. At least for depth in the higher middle rounds. Now I'm thinking he'll go for a tackle as high as 2nd but could be lower. It's really impossible to predict because who really knows how the other teams will draft. Picks are taken almost on the fly after the first several I would say. The board helps ofcourse but.... this is a skill of adaptation. Who adapts to the changes the best in the limited time allowed. And of course who picks with the best skill but that goes without saying.
  4. It's ok, one of my bestest friends is an ND homer as well. I'll be picking his brain about Floyd. I'm surprised in a good way he's as tall as peeps say he is. 6'5" really?! Good heavens! Damn. My mistake, just looked his height. 6'3"
  5. BuffaloBillsSD, unfortunately my old school iPhone won't load your linky. But I think it's safe to assume he is stretching the field against college competition. He's an intriguing prospect indeed. BPA says me as a general rule.
  6. I agree John that Hairston could be our guy. He's shown more promise than most have expected. If he does become our starter at LT this season, we still need a backup LT in the draft now that Bell is gone. I would not want Levitre moving to LT in an emergency. He's just fine at his current position. We do need another LT in the draft to either back up Hairston or compete with him. Said LT does not need to be a 1st round pick either. People say this is a weak draft for LT but gems can always be found and Buddy, Whaley and Co have the instincts to find.
  7. Keep Levitre at LG because that's where he excels. He's ok at RT in a pinch. Draft tackles and move them inward if they don't pan out outside. Levitre is flexible but his true calling is at guard.
  8. I haven't read all the posts or the sports science info but it seems from what little I've read that Floyd has many of the wr skills we need. But I have a question. What is his playing speed like? Doesn't Buddy want a wr with speed to stretch the field to complement Stevie? Perhaps Floyd has this blazing speed and I missed reading about it. If this is the case then good. Or maybe Floyd's skills are so absurd that they will make up for any lack of pure speed that may have raised any doubts in my eyes. Someone close to Jerry Rice I would not mind. John Taylor wasn't a blazer so having two non speedsters with talent can still make an offense function quite well.
  9. If LT is BPA when our turn comes up (according to Buddy's board) then so be it. If another position is BPA when 10 is on deck I will trust Buddy's and Whaley's judgement. We need Talent. Having a stud LT in the first round would be awsome. But if a good solid LT is to be had in the 2nd along with a stud insta-starter at another position in the 1st I would not be opposed to it. We shall see what comes to pass.
  10. Great to see such enthusiasm Tipster! It's just really good to have a GM who is putting the pieces together and a fan base realizing what's now being built.
  11. Lol. Clever. But u know some opposing teams are bound to play Madonna's song.
  12. Do NOT Trade Up and lose valuable picks. Just draft more wisely with the picks provided. Or trade down a few slots if the option is available and if it's feasible. Trading up is imo only a good idea if u are practically guaranteed to get a Peyton Manning. Many valuable starters have been drafted after round 1. As long as Buddy and Co. are wise in their drafting (if wiser than the average team) then it will be fine. Do not mortgage the farm. We've done it before and been screwed. Even if half the picks had worked out, there would be a debate as to the traded picks (lost potential) traded away.
  13. In the 3rd I'd be tempted but would rather pick him up in the 4th or later. This young man has proven he can flat out play for 2+ years in college. Of course no guarantee that will translate to NFL but who is ever guaranteed. He's a leader, knows how to win, is intelligent, driven, just wins. This man will find a home, I hope it's with the Bills midround.
  14. These chaps better stay healthy, that's all I can ask for. If they can, then they will wreck havoc. If this comes to pass then opposing O's will have their own nicknames for our D line which will prolly be unmentionable to innocent ears. Atm I can only think of Wanny's Rotating Fresh Beasts. Or simpler, Wanny's Line of Destruction.
  15. Creepy yes, but I would gladly have them as company if they kept me unmolested while I traversed the countryside. Hmm in time many humans might have armless pets of their own. The hooded chick is smart in trying to blend in. Yes Glen is spineless in many ways and Jim, you're not the only one to mention this. He could have brass balls but he doesn't...yet... He has been passive, he's not as assertive as a man should be. I think he's just had a background of being too insecure in himself and of being too respective of others. It seems like he's slowly breaking out of this mold. Perhaps he'll die before he grows up but I think he'll be a character that will keep developing and eventually grow a set. Just my take. I don't see him as the weakest character. T-Dog was all about getting out of dodge and abandoning the group until Lori and Hershey's daughter convinced him otherwise. Some characters like Lori and now recently Rick are on the verge of hitting the panic button. Glen volunteers to go on dangerous missions such as going to the med clinic and down the well. It will be interesting to see what develops.
  16. I actually liked Hershey's spunkiness for protecting the farm a bit but I'm glad he was convinced/half dragged away to live and fight another day and be of better use to the group than being a loin chop to the zombies. He has potential to turn into a more interesting character. I like that he's more realistic now about finding and making a place more defensible than his farm.
  17. Agreed, Lori has taken the torch for being the most annoying character now. All she does is whine. When I thought Rick was taking charge for the better, he seems to be on his way to becoming unstable. The group at the end of the last episode (in their eyes) showed their deterioration of faith in his leadership. Carl has been annoying to me but now he has some catching up to do in order to regain the torch. Good luck little man. I'm just waiting for Darryl and Glen to take charge. They have an even balance of what's right, can do attitude, and fairness to the group. T-Dog hasn't gotten many lines, perhaps he's a black horse. Darryl is the survivalist with the group's trust in him if he's willing to recognize it. Glen is the shy one who has that leadership role waiting to break out if only he will let it. Circumstances can sometimes make the man. Every great man has a great woman behind him. Farmer's daughter's mentality overall doesn't seem too shabby to me one bit.
  18. Way to go Jimbo, Jill, and everyone involved. There are many who had a hand in this, people helping behind the scenes, who's names will not be known by most fans. Thank you.
  19. lol. If Mario signs he'll be in for a surprise. Imagine Peter Pan sending him a gift wrapped Mario sized Peter Pan Hat with the Bills logo.
  20. RIP Mr. Kerchner. My utmost respect to a brave man.
  21. Jacobs is just crazy in the head. He's not a team player. He's consistently inconsistent. I also wouldn't mind giving Joique Bell another shot if he's available. Can't hurt to give Choice and White some more competition.
  22. lol I hear ya on Glenn/Korean kid. He has a ways to go but I think he'll turn into something. Darryl on the other hand is all about survival. The group better be taking constant pointers from him. Darryl has issues like everyone, but he's got what it takes to make it and in this scenario his abilitites are what count the most.
  23. lol you're right, after so much walking through the woods they ended up being a skip and a hop from the farm house. Practically on the outskirts of the front yard. How many people here care about Carl? To me he's been an annoyance. That kid is so random he really does need to be watched in some way or another. With his change of pace mentality he could easily have shot both Rick and Shane.
  24. Jim, I agree, crossbow guy (I think his name is Darryl) is my favorite character too. Glenn is 2nd now but Darryl is no.1 by far. Farmers daughter/Maggie better stick around a while. She's got some spunk to her. I'm curious to see how blondie reacts to Shanes demise.
  25. Madmen is one of my favs too Buftex. I'm curious as well about how the kid turned into a zombie after Shane broke his neck. Almost finished watching the episode. Looking forward to that zombie heard Finally things are getting spiced up! Damn. Finally Rick did what needed to be done. Shane pushed him to it but Rick didn't wuss out. That would suck to have to kill a friend/former close friend like that tho. Damnit it's going to be Rorke's Drift modern now with that zombie heard coming. Time for them to start stacking those mealie boxes pronto!
