  1. Last year I picked up Freddy in the late rounds and Spiller as an undrafted FA and they helped me win my league title. This year they won't go unnoticed and I'm worried both players will not sneak under the fantasy radar. I would like to pick up Fred again if possible in the middle rounds and def CJ as well.
  2. I can't wait! I'll prolly watch ESPN again like I usually do. Big part due to Berman. I used to think Kiper was all that before I grew up and knew better. I'll try n watch a bit of the NFL network but overall it'll be a good show. Can't really complain too much. It's just nice to have two different perspectives on the draft even if some clowns are involved.
  3. Who do I want? DeCastro simply because he can dominate run blocking, gets to the 2nd level, good pass blocking well, rolls out and moves with ease. Just a stud. With him, Levitre, and Wood in the middle they will just blow holes throw people over and over and Over. Such a threat as this will help open up the passing game. Let's say Nix drafts a decent LT in mid round (which he's capable of doing) to back up and compete with Hairston to help solidify the line. The interior could become a monster with depth. To be honest I've tried over and over to talk myself out of wanting DeCastro to be the pick. He doesn't fill an immediate need but the guys such a stud. He can flat out dominate. I realize it's not recommended to pick up a guard so soon and I doubt Nix will pick him due to his previously stated reasons. Ok so it prolly won't be DeCastro so who do I think Nix will pick? Most likely a corner. Whichever has visited. I dont think Keuchley is at the top of his list tho. Just my wild buzzed guess.
  4. I'll go ABB. Anybody But Bust. I think Nixley has the knack to pull it off. I agree with you tho Rayray, I don't want Tanny to be the pick at 10. He'll prolly be gone before we're up tho. His stock has risen which benefits us.
  5. I like Hairston too. Not too many LTs who could be thrown into the fray with not much prep time and still do a decent job. What else could be asked of him in those circumstances. A full year of training camp now plus at least another LT drafted (I hope mid round) and I believe we'll be ok.
  6. It's a bad year to take a LT if you're an average or below average GM. If Nix and Whaley have a draft as good as last years then we might be ok in that department. Glenn seems to be the predominant pick here and perhaps it's what Nix is thinking but I believe he thinks he can draft a future starting LT in the middle rounds. Perhaps a Potter or whoever else Nix and clan think is worthy. A project cannot be the first pick though. As much as I like Glenn's potential I would rather us get a guy who we can plug in right away and expect decent to good results from a rookie. I believe Buddy can draft another Hairston in the mid rounds and then one of our Hairstons can progress to become a solid starter. In the meantime Nix can get a solid stud in the 1st. We need a BPA or damn close to it to stockpile talent, even if there is a good starter already there. If we draft for need as opposed to drafting for talent the Bills will always be average. Of course if the BPA always fills our needs...well then. It never happens consistently though. DeCastro, perhaps Gilmore or Kirkpatrick, maybe even a DE. Floyd if he gets a visit but he must be able to stretch the field. Just someone who can dominate and complement our team right away. Not someone we have to wait a few years to see what they're made of. Damn wine has me rattling on. :0
  7. There once was a fancier of a tennis tactic Punter was his name, so said his lone fanatic Back and forth he desired in the off season Forth and back then became his sole reason For being drafted #10 was justly too traumatic
  8. I fully agree.
  9. Lol smart thinkin! Make sure they are trained to not venture too far from your defensive perimeter. A pack of trained hyaenas is a good complement as well.
  10. Trust the Nixley.
  11. DC Tom I agree that it would be a bad idea to solely rely on a heavier weapon like a machete or parang. They are good to have but yes having a lighter stabbing weapon has it's advantages too. Good point on that. When dealing with pesky zombies one must be quick on his/her feet and adapt in a moments notice. Poor zombies wouldn't stand a chance. Awsome link.
  12. Reed83 thanks for posting. It's a good refresher on how Nix views things.
  13. lol well i think this thread is a welcome relief to many of us. Thinking of the draft is a bit nerve wracking. Exciting yes but so many what if scenarios.
  14. If there's a punter out there with the name of Punter...well then...do what needs to be done to trade up and get him before any other team has some bright ideas.
  15. Senator, thanks for clearing it up for me that DeCastro is a RG who has also played center. This makes him even more intrigueing. Let's say the Bills go this route and draft a couple LT's in rounds 2-4 to compete with Hairston. Imagine how formidable this line could be. Think of the gaping holes being opened for Fredding and CJ. Fitzy would have more time as well. Just imagine the incredible depth. On the flip side, our line LG to RT currently isn't badly off at all and there are much bigger holes to be filled than upgrading RG. If DeCastro is the pick I wouldn't complain as long as Buddy drafts 2 LT's. Whoever the pick is must make a difference and be a probowl type talent. I'm tired of the reaching in years past and I'm glad Buddy seems to go for BPA in general. I just don't see him picking DeCastro though, so now I'm still wondering who will be Chixley's man.
  16. I think my nightmare was due to us missing out on Eric Steinbach several years ago and not wanting a repeat of that. But this time around we are better set at guard than we were back then.
  17. From what little I've read DeCastro is a stud. If I recall correctly Buddy has stated he can convert an under performing tackle to guard though. I don't believe he'll be the pick if available, but if he is wow our interior would be formidable. Plus there would be depth. Levitre at LG, Wood C, DeCastro (played LG in college? Hopefully can switch to RG without much of a problem). If Hairston or whoever we might draft later on for LT goes down, Levitre moves to LT, DeCastro to LG, Urbik back to starting RG. We have bigger needs than drafting a guard in the first obviously but it's interesting to speculate what might be especially if we are fortunate to draft good talent in the middle rounds to complement the existing OL. On an odd note last night I had a nightmare. Bills were on the clock, DeCastro was still available and I was panicking that the Bills might not pick him. Then I woke up and wondered what the fuss was about. He's not a huge position of need. But if he is taken and the Bills draft well rounds 2-7 then who knows? This first round choice is a tough one. Still haven't decided on who I want.
  18. We should draft a punter in the 2nd as well. What if the 1st round punter is a bust?
  19. I modify my post a tad bit. The highest order would prolly equate to 10 straight SB wins in a row, but u guys n gals get my gist.
  20. It's been so many years of inneptitude that I don't blame fans for a wait and see approach. But just as in investing in the stock market you can't just expect to wait and see before putting forth your lot or you will already have missed the boat. I'm glad to see that I'm amongst a growing contingent of Bills fans who believe that our FO is now legit. Do we all need a playoff game first for confirmation? Or can we already envision it happening. It's quite possible we are witnessing a resurgence of the highest order. From a downtrodden team of the past decade+ to something that is appearing more and more to be a growing, solid, talent infused machine that is being built for several sustained runs at the ultimate goal. With Chixley running the show I'm more optimistic than I've been in a long long time. The Chixley has this fan believing.
  21. Chixley does sound better than Chixey.
  22. It's so simple...so damn simple... Spend less than you make and don't put yourself in a situation that compromises this. Gosh...these fools. No additional education is needed to understand such a simple concept. Self control has a hand in this tho, or lack of it. Well perhaps he will wisen up...or he won't.
  23. We are seeing and appreciating what Chan and Nix have been doing. But I think Whaley is under appreciated on this board. He is supposedly going to be the GM in time and it's not a stretch to assume that his insight on players is carrying considerable weight. So I propose the name Chixey (now revised to Chixley due to SJBF's better judgement). I don't see the name actually sticking but I believe Whaley should be getting more recognition than he's been receiving. On a side note I believe Wanny has been quite the good influence as well but I haven't figured out how to incorporate the Stache into Chix/Chixey.
  24. Just playing with the notion of Jasper being larger than life here. Let's say he lines up under center with Fred behind him. Spiller at wingback. Short yardage situation Jasper takes it and falls forward for the first down, or goes on option. Now getting to my idea. Same formation and perhaps similar distance. Wood hikes ball directly to Fred between Jasper's legs and Jasper pretends to take ball and maybe falls forward or goes on an option with Spiller, while Fred takes advantage of the situation with ball in hand. I doubt one other team in the past several decades has ever had a PS player gain such fame as he's had on this board. Man I hope he pans out in some way.
  25. Some here want players with character who can produce. Others want players who just produce no matter what their mentality is even if it's questionable off the field. I know some of our beloved Bills of the past weren't so straight laced. But I'm talking about the Bills of present. Just to get a gauge of the peeps on here, who cares about our present day Bills having character and who doesn't? Assuming production is equal no matter the mentality. I know it's a stupid question but seeing some posters not caring about character much and only wanting production has been a bit thought provoking to me. As I grow older and I hope a bit wiser I think more fans would prefer to have both attributes in our players. If our players can just produce, perhaps that's all that counts in some books. At this point in my life I can't throw all my fanaticism into a team without character. What would this say about me? What would this say about you as a person? Our current team is growing before our eyes and it's being built the way it should be. Life and our team, without character what else is there? Winning without character is just...well I think many of you get the drift... What are your thoughts? Would you rather win with character or without? In the end does it matter to you? If this thread dies right off the bat....well then that will give me an impression too...not the one I would be looking for but an impression nonetheless....
