Go BOLD - 2021 NFL Bold Predictions
Rhode Island Red replied to GunnerBill's topic in The Stadium Wall
Is it just me imagining that you meant to say ‘and the offensive line top 5 and not killing him…..’?? In any case, ‘the offense being sublime’ is a phrase that I’ve not seen the equal of on this board….🙂 -

Training Camp practice 8/3: Pads come on

So… Sir Clapalot could conceivably endorse ditching one or both of these “bubble” guys under some scenarios, but this quote sure makes it seem unlikely… -
Ahh, and there’s the sneaky devil in the details.. when you’re driving and conversing with passengers in the car with you, they are living/thinking in the same reality as you are. Every one of them is, to one degree or another, aware of the driving realities you’re facing at any given moment. That is absolutely not the case when conversing with someone outside your vehicle. That person is obviously important enough for you to have taken/made the call, and the main consequence of that semi-conscious choice on your part is that you are going to make every attempt to get into their reality. It’s a really slippery slope…

Bills Mandatory Minicamp June 15-16

If you’re off target here, I fear it might not be by much, and feel your reservations about Star have some validity. Rather than “skeptical” though, I prefer to be optimistic that Star comes out looking well-rested and fired up. Best case is that Mr. Horrible does too, and between the two of them over 17 games, they can provide even a marginal improvement over our cumulative 1T performance last year. To whatever degree they do, it’s likely to show up big time in our overall D performance. -
Cover 1 breakdown on Gregory Rousseau

Made my Monday better, fershur! Hopefully we’re in for a long, exciting ride with this very large man. A year or two and he’ll be even bigger/stronger. Loved the bits at the end about ball focus and keeping contain. -
Will Christian Wade make the Bills' final 53 in 2021?

For purposes of this poll, I choose to be as optimistic as possible! He’s talented out the wazoo, an exemplary teammate, and a great breakfast emcee; how can he miss?! besides, if he does put it all together I want to be on the list of those that said he would…fatalism be d@@@ed... -
Mcdermott on Pat Mcafee.

Really enjoyed this, thx. -
well, for me it hasn’t been a time waster at all, because I took a few minutes to watch the two Stills videos that are posted above. I just don’t see a one trick pony, as you allege. I see a polished, experienced receiver, albeit from 2019. I stated prior to the ravens game that I didn’t want to see Stills activated, but that was because to me that would mean our established guys were too hurt to play. However, if in fact it turns out we need help there this weekend, I totally trust this staff to activate and use whichever one they think will fit best in their game plan, Stills, Kumerow, D.Williams, etc.

Lamar Jackson's Charity

Not sure how early today this was posted: ”Since Sunday, $445,500 was donated to Blessings in a Backpack by 16,350 fans in honor of Ravens QB Lamar Jackson. This support will help feed kids in Louisville, Buffalo, Western New York, Baltimore, and beyond!” FANtastic! -

Definitely feels good to spread a little of our joy...step up and make a difference in the name of Bills Mafia, folks! -
Antonio Williams has practiced with us a good portion of the season, showed some moxie vs. the Fish, and we need a RB (all the best, Zack), especially one that might well have more luck against the Ravens’ Dline than TJ. Stills just got here, and, for whatever reason(s), didn’t exactly light it up at his last stop. Potentially a capable addition to the squad in an emergency this month, and may fit into the mix at WR next year.

I think it might’ve been more that Josh grew up as a Niners fan, and Steve Young was their God quarterback, a natural for Josh to use as a role model… -

Josh was watching football, and wearing out the living room carpet playing football with his brother when they were tykes. Am I THAT far off!? I believe it if so. Things conflate after 60, trust me... -

I’m probably off on the timing, Young was before JA was in HS. I know I’ve heard him say he idolized Young, though, probably as a younger kid... -

The biggest reason that it’s a relevant comparison is that Young was Josh’s role model as a high school player. He has said that he tried to emulate Young, and remember this was prior to him becoming Paul Bunyan. -
Daboll has been working up to this gig for a long time, and really only this year are his various pieces really falling into place. I’m hoping (against hope) that he takes a deep breath/ pause to appreciate the glory he’s brought upon himself AND HIS BELOVED HOME TOWN SQUAD, and realizes that maybe it’d be smart to stay awhile longer. Take this train for the ride you helped build it for, PLEASE!?!
