  1. You know, that's what I remember also about the talus but a quick search didn't reveal any sources. This article gives a decent timeline of the dewatering and they claimed it was put to a vote and people favored leaving it be. It sounds like the engineers were willing to remove it but the vote ended the discussion. http://www.niagarafrontier.com/dewater.html
  2. They're dewatering to replace the bridges. I don't think they've ever maintained the talus.
  3. It is a question. Goat Island makes the Falls a far more intimate experience on the American side. The panoramic view of all the falls is far better on the Canadian side (especially for pictures) and there's a lot more other things to do. But if you're going simply to experience the falls, don't skip Goat Island.
  4. That photo was reportedly taken while McCain was on a trip to Syria to meet with the Free Syrian Army. Look at his label pin. It's a flag. Difficult to see, but it appears to have stripes with the top one lighter (possibly green). Bottom stripe black, appear to be 3 stars across the middle white stripe. So, I don't know the truth of his pin. I think it's a FSA flag which makes sense because that's who he's going to meet. You, seem to think it's an AQ flag. Which AQ flag has stripes? Oh, here's the FSA flag. Look carefully. Do your own research. The truth will be hardest to see for you because you put so much research and effort into creating your own truth. The plan was to get Iran to give up its nuclear ambitions. I am no fan of Obama, he wanted a deal with Iran in the worst way and may have stupidly ignored the results of Operation Cassandra to enable meeting his deal. But to assume that he was knowingly and actively guilty of treason is just a little too far off the reservation for me. Peace. I do think there's some substance to Horowitz and the entire election scandal. Most assuredly not as deep as you are convinced but we'll see and I have followed it and have enjoyed your work here posting documents.
  5. At the time, the goal was to get Iran to halt centrifugal enrichment of its own uranium. Obama's plan was to simply provide them with all the reactor grade uranium they needed while also drawing down Iran's stockpile. Russia, being Iran's ally, would seem an excellent participant to lend legitimacy to this proposal. I'm not seeing how this was going to pretext to an Iran war since the proposal was widely publicized at the time and a pretty good idea if the goal was to stop Iran from needing to develop its own enrichment expertise.
  6. Exactly. All it did was show he's still playing a blame game and that he continues to lack the wisdom to see the big picture moving forward. All he can control is his own words and actions and they continue to be piss poor.
  7. A colleague at work tore his pec in the middle pretty bad and required surgery. He got it sewed up and had his arm immobilized in a sling for a few months. Took him over a year to fully come back. You can sew muscle to a limited extent if you include the fascial tissue around the outside. I'll ask him how it's doing strength-wise as it's been 18 months. Sounds like a minor tear for Price, but I would worry about him coming back too soon and tearing it again. His profession will put a lot of stress on it. As far as bench press and lifting weights in general, in my 48 years I have learned that good form and controlling the weight trumps pretty much everything. The times I have gotten injured is from careless lifting of (and racing through) lighter weight or struggling and seriously compromising good form to lift heavy weight. Of course, with age you start to realize certain lifts hurt too much and to find alternatives. Any curling I do is strictly on a preacher bench.
  8. Jeff Nixon, safety. "Nixon for President" 1980, three INTs and a fumble recovery to beat the Dolphins and end the 20 game streak
  9. It is of some concern. There's just no need to be a mindless panic-whore about it.
  10. If you actually read your own article you would see that yes, they are doing something about it. Albeit slowly thanks to government red tape. Of note (lest the MSM insinuate otherwise), is that the hacking involved voter information databases NOT election day voting systems.
  11. Can't agree with you. He was decent his first season but our line couldn't protect him and he started getting PTSD his second year, once the defense got that first good hit on him he started throwing off his back foot, usually to check-downs and was kind of useless. We actually did him a favor sending him to Dallas because they were able to better protect him and he did better for a time. But even there, once he took a solid hit/sack he got jittery and mostly ineffective. I don't think he was ever mentally the same after that sheared artery. Pretty scary stuff.
  12. In the game films I saw, he was fantastic at recognizing the blitz and getting the ball out quickly to the proper receiver. Big plus IMO.
  13. Even more than that, with a very different style of playcalling. That most impressed me, how fluidly Bama transitioned (with a few hiccups from Tua). That's great coaching.
  14. Opening kickoff, Patriots block to the back that wasn't called. Obvious as daylight. Just downhill from there. I honestly feel they pay the officials off. Funny thing is Kraft must have had a spat to start the year as refs were making calls on them they never do, but then things got straightened out. Just disgusting.
  15. C) was symptomatic of A) and his lack of communication skills, IMO. I liked Doug Whaley. He made some mistakes but did a decent job bringing in talent, especially with the constant coaching overhauls. Also agree that he didn't always properly value talent. For me, Pegula being happily willing to hand over control of the roster to McDermott upon his arrival told me everything I needed to know about Whaley's vision and plan: he had none or was totally ineffective at communicating it. The mess surrounding Rex's firing also speaks to Whaley's lack of presence. In business, you have to earn control. Especially since Whaley was new to the title with zero track record previously. And in complete fairness to Whaley, he was groomed to the position by first-time GM Buddy Nix, who seemed more interested in bringing in talent than enacting and executing a detailed 5 year plan for the franchise. I hope Doug finds a better mentor first if he wishes to ascend to GM again.
  16. It's been on the Bills Twitter account
  17. Definitely made my contribution. What a fantastic idea someone had in doing this! Does anyone know who came up with the idea? I heard it started on social media. Definitely much respect for the originator!
  18. I get how you feel now. But the tag on this thread is "clock started ticking on his regime today". You try and suggest where Pegula would use his penn state ties to find the next coach. Whether or not McD came back next year is irrelevant to your assertion that his losing the team is the beginning of the end and where Pegula should begin his search. You got caught up in that moment and overreacted. Most of us would own that because it happens to everyone. WRT McCoy, back in 2015 the crux of your argument against him was his avg YPC had dropped in Philly to 4.2 and 4.4 with us (despite a hamstring injury) so it was the beginning of the end of his career so he wasn't worth it. Also the fact that Karlos had a great avg YPC and Gillislee looked promising had you suggesting we could go with them and McCoy wasn't needed at his price. I went and looked at the yearly and career avg YPC for the top 20 RB's of all time. When their yearly avg YPC gets below 4.0 and/or their career avg gets below 4.4 is generally the end of most careers. Shady has been worth every penny of his contract to me. His leadership, dedication and passion go beyond any statistics. And I would have enjoyed an honest discussion about all that with you but you're not much good at discussions. You are one of those people who pretends he has all the answers all the time.
  19. Hahaha. You are quite the Dunkirk Don. You started this thread correctly diagnosing the team quit during that 3 game losing streak and positing where a new head coach might come from for next year. Instead of owning the mistake of that overreaction, you shovel this hot stinking garbage out. Nice. Is LeSean McCoy worth the contract we signed him for?
  20. . Cripes, Cinci really outplayed them too. Stupid.
  21. Lol, true but Cinci does look much sharper than Baltimore so far.
  22. Flacco under throwing thus far and does not look sharp
  23. At the bar watching the games. Cinci came to play today and is really getting after the Ravens so there's hope!
  24. Could be, missed that so thanks.
  25. My impression from DD is either Leroi was the guy let go or the inside source feeding info out. He said "Leroi is back" but has never claimed to be Leroi. It also sounds like Cousin's tie to WNY would be his relationship to Dennison.
