We will simply & totally break their hearts if we beat the Jets. They think they're over the hump (beating the Pats). Now they just need to beat the Bills. I expect the Bills to be up for the game, but under-manned. I think the Bills really need Shady's shiftiness to win. He was the difference in first meeting.

The Year In Bills Fans...from Deadspin
Never NEVER Give-up replied to Mike in Horseheads's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Don't know who they are - but they are probably happy with 7-9 or 8-8. Doesn't really matter to them - the party's the thing! -
I don't know. When I thought about all the off-season additions and looked at the 2015 schedule, playing the NFC East & AFC South (we were 4-4 against them), I was so high on the Bills I bought season tickets for $5,611 !! That's how sure I was that the Bills would have a good season. So to re-state - I don't know anything. We're good enough to beat anyone and bad enough to lose to anyone. That said, here's our 2016 Opponents (including the AFC Central & NFC West). (courtesy of Bflo Rumblings) Based on our uneven performance this year, I think next year will be tougher and I project our record to be around 7-9. Sickening!! Need the Defense to get stout. Confident TT will be better next year with a training camp where he is #1 throughout. If the Defense plays like most of us thought they would and TT/offense gets better, our upside would be more like 10-6 Still may not be good enough! Home games New England Patriots (12-3) New York Jets (10-5) Miami Dolphins (5-10) Pittsburgh Steelers (9-6) Cleveland Browns (3-12) Arizona Cardinals (13-2) San Francisco 49ers (4-11) Jacksonville Jaguars (5-10) Road games New England Patriots (12-3) New York Jets (10-5) Miami Dolphins (5-10) Cincinnati Bengals (11-3) Baltimore Ravens (5-10) St. Louis Rams (7-8) Seattle Seahawks (9-6) Oakland Raiders (7-8)

Boobie reiterates what some of us knew...

Oh they drank it - but they slobbered it all over themselves. Execution was not there. Togetherness was not there - that's on the players. -

They haven't called a players only meeting because there is no clear cut leader on the team. Fred was IT, but he's gone. Eric Wood is close, but he's not it. It should be obvious who the leader in the room is. Unfortunately for the Bills, there is no guy yet. Hopefully someone will ascend to this position, until then, we'll have pockets of togetherness led by guys like Wood. But until there's a clear-cut guy who's the leader, the Bills will struggle. Hopefully the adversity known as the "2015 season" will be this team's "Bickering Bills" moment - when Jim Kelly's Bills turned their fortunes around. -
(Agreed. Comment on your 2nd line) I'm sick about the D. Rex is hell bent on running HIS D. Nevermind that Pettine and Swartz BOTH took what they had and made them into good defenses. (Pettine's D had trouble w/the run but handled the pass well. Swartz corrected the Run D and maintained the Pass D and pass rush.) Ryan is going to swap out pieces (Mario, LB's) and bring in pieces that better fit his scheme - that's great for NEXT year, but leaves the D as underwhelming this year. (Any D that has Mario & Dareus dropping into coverage is at best over-thinking and at worst just dumb!) It's on Rex if we don't make the playoffs. He is being foolish and stubborn. He's got the horses, he should let'em run! It's as if he prefers to lose if he cannot win with his defense. The only game he had a real Defensive Game Plan for was the 2nd Pat's game. He said that would be our D going forward. He terrorized Brady in game 2. Then he laid off Alex Smith and we lost to the Chiefs. I don't get it and I don't get why Rex doens't see this!!!! Can he possibly be THAT stubborn! He's coaching stupid - IMO! I hope we win 4 in a row, but we haven't won more than 2 in a row all year. Sure our heads tell us we c/should win the next 4, but if Rex lets the QB's stand back there all day, he'll find a way to split the next 4 games. (A safer bet I'd say.) I hate to say it, but this is probably a big part in why he's no longer in NY. But I'm a Bills Fan and still hopeful - Go Bills!!!

Whaley went out and got him at Rex's request. There was competition for him and to discredit Whaley's involvement is a show of ignorance. Nix released Fitz and brought EJ in. (Tuel & Thad Lewis were also here.) Once Whaley took over, he signed Orton and released Lewis & Tuel. Whaley also brought in the following for the coaches to see: Kevin Kolb, Matt Leinhart, Vince Young, Alex Tanney, Pat White, Dennis Dixon, Tarvaris Jackson, Kenny Guiton, Jordon Palmer, Matt Flynn, Matt Simms, Matt Cassel, Josh Johnson. He has done everything he could do at the QB position - he's brought in a pool of guys for the coaches to choose from (Marone & Rex). What Whaley hasn't had is the luxury of a #1 or #2 overall pick in a draft stocked with bona-fide QB's, so he's done the next best thing - go out and bring in as many as possible and let your talent evaluators (coaches) pick the ones they want to go with. That and his last 2 drafts (below) show he can pick quality football players. 2015: Darby - Miller - Karlos Williams - Steward - O'Leary - Dezmin Lewis (Only Lewis won't get a look-see duing the 2015 season) 2014: Watkins - Kouandjio - Preston Brown - Cockrell - Richardson - Randell Johnson - Henderson (Cockrell was cut in '15. Jury is still out on OL's Cyrus and Cyril, =though they seem to bring depth - quality as of yet unknown.) Whaley also traded for Jerry Hughes, McCoy and brought in Incognito and Harvin, If the Bills want to continue in the mediocrity of the last 15 years, they should do what they always do - blow it up and start over every 2-3 years! We need the continuity both Whaley & Rex can bring. The recent pot-stirring by Vic Carucci only heightens our collective anxiety. The Pegula's aren't fools - so that tells me they'll extend Whaley at the end of the season.

Oh stop!! The Browns could do that in their sleep, too! -
I hate to admit it, but Taylor sucks
Never NEVER Give-up replied to Doug Flutie Band's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He's EJ Manual, except he protects the ball better. Throws some horrendous passes - wide of the mark, over thrown and even more under thrown. (Just like EJ, except EJ overthrows more than he under throws.) Throws some beautiful passes (that keep us all hopeful). (Same as EJ. This is why EJ believers remain hopeful.) I actually think EJ is a better crunch time / 2 minute QB. (Frankly, this is more an indictment of the 2 minute offense.) Bottom line - it's still too early to tell. We've seen more good than bad, but TT needs to show more. Effective use of his receiving weapons and the WHOLE field. Better progressions. Two minute offense. We already know that he can run, but all that guarantees is some 'flash' and an almost certain loss of time due to injury. I like him. I'm pulling for him. But I'm not sure of his potential yet - I just cross my fingers more often than not. BTW - it was nice to see the Defense play up to its potential. Even better - knowing that they did so without Kyle Williams, Arron Williams, Mario Williams, part of Dareus, with Duke Williams in there. -
"Experts" Picks Week 12 vs the Chiefs
Never NEVER Give-up replied to CodeMonkey's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Love this site: http://nflpickwatch.com/ So far, 94% pick Chiefs to win, though not all picks are in. -
Well said. The correct call should have been a do-over. Blowing the whistle while the ball is in the air negates the play (completion or not) and eradicates the flag on Rex. It should have been a do over. (I'm not that familiar with the rules - the source of this was the on-air Ref employed by espn, Walt ...something.) I have no doubt that if Darby had intercepted the ball, then only the penalty would have been called, resulting in 15 yds and a 1st down for the Pats.

Jason Hatcher Rips the Refs
Never NEVER Give-up replied to Rob's House's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'm 55 and pretty healthy. I think I could do a better job. However, I can't help but feel these guys are too old to call the games. Ref's should be under 40-45 yrs of age. Just sayin'. My 2 cents. -
"Vicious" hit on Brady???
Never NEVER Give-up replied to PromoTheRobot's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The hit Brown gave him on the interception return was not a hard hit, in fact, Brady embellished the hit with his own "Fosbury Flop". This was awesome - can't do that anymore - a penalty for sure nowadays. -
