This and the fact Tyrod, when throwing, isn't using the middle of the field. And frankly, I wonder if he can throw a fade to the corners of the end zone (I don't ever remember him doing so). Bottom-line, we are not a threat to use the whole field and when the field is only 12 yds deep, it's even more difficult to succeed.

I love Sammy. I think he could be a very special NFL WR if he can overcome the injuries and dings and aches that plague him and frankly, every NFL player. That said, it was painful watching him last week. It was as if he, like Christ, had a spike driven thru his foot. I wonder if they should shut him down. I'm also worried about Goodwin. Did anyone else notice that after he was tackled on the last play of the game, he was hurt? He was crawling & couldn't get up. PS - that play would have worked if he had gotten by that tackler.

WOW To me, this is the white flag. An offense everyone is now supposedly comfy with is being thrown out? Hmmm, last time we did this Jauron canned Turk Schonert and we all know how that season turned out. Smacks of panicking. Change for the sake of change is never the answer. I hope they have a way forward, otherwise the next 15 weeks will be as miserable as the 1st two. Tyrod must really be great and Roman was restricting him - gosh, let's hope so. (Not betting on this.)

FWIW: PFF Rates Top Teams in 2016 Preseason
Never NEVER Give-up replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
OK then. Let's just shut it down now that we've accomplished so much!!! What a joke! -
Gosh - if you read it wrongly, it's Newer Afield - like we're lost or something!

Well - we used to say I'm going to a game at "The Ralph". I liked it. It was pretty cool. Now we'll say - I'm going to a game at "The Cap". This'll take some getting used to. I can see the B-Lo News capitalizing: "Bills Cap Jets in Comeback Win". Let the puns fly!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Looks like they hope to put a cauldron up there and host the Olympics someday.

2017 NFL draft will be held in Philadelphia
Never NEVER Give-up replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Boy, if there's a late snowfall, the commish may need to dodge snowballs! Heck, knowing Philly fans' reputation, they'll probably make some fresh ones next winter, freeze them, and bring them out at the draft! Kim, Terry and Russ should start petioning to bring the NFL Draft to Bflo. That would be wild!! Canalside could be turned into the NFL Experience (like Chicago did w/Grant Park)! -
How did this issue get raised again? Did Goodell get off the plane, hop in a car, arrive at Terry Hills (or where ever) and start shouting, "The Bills need a new Stadium!!" Or did he respond to a question as I suspect? We can't get mad at him for answering the question - we know where he and the owners stand. It's the damn media stirring the pot at a charity event - shame on them. It's only an issue if we make it one. I suggest we leave it to the Pegula's - they're no fools. When the time is right, they will start the conversation. Until then, let's enjoy the real team news/progress.

The Cavs-Bills comparisons have begun
Never NEVER Give-up replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Watched parts of the game while it was still in doubt. The Cavs never seized the moment - they missed too many shots. -
I had a sick feeling when I heard Disney bought espn a few years ago. It's now been confirmed - that WAS the death knell. I only watch espn for games I want to see (Bills, Pirates, Bandits (indoor laX), Sabres/hockey news which has all but disappeared and 30 for 30 if the topic is of interest. The rest of it is crap.

Brady suspension reinstated!
Never NEVER Give-up replied to FireChan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
There's no denying Brady's a great QB, but I'm losing any respect I've had for the guy. These appeals are paid-for by the NFLPA - it's quite selfish of him to ask them to do this. Beyond that, his appeals are keeping him in the spotlight and the issue is old, old, old. The 1st quote brings up a great point. It would be dream-like if they granted an appeal but said he could not play until it is held on Oct 24, 2016!! The 2nd quote is spot on. If for no other reason than costing taxpayers money, RBG needs to end the silliness and tell Tom to shut up and sit down until Oct 10th. -
Agreed!!! Donahoe and Mularkey fired him so Mularkey could hire a friend of his. The Bears were experiencing injuries over several previous seasons, so they hired him; their injuries went down and the Bears went to the Super Bowl (lost to Colts). I understand Rusty is retired - they should hire him as a consultant.

True enough. The real improvement from this team has to come from the guys who are already here. The Defense has to play like we know it can. If it doesn't improve, it'll slip further due to the losses of Mario, Nigel & McKelvin. Darby cannot have a sophomore slump. If the 1st 3 draft picks contribute, that'll offset the other personnel losses. TT must progress as a QB Shady, Karlos, Robert Woods and Sammy need to stay healthy. The right side of the line must improve. Charles Clay must play a bigger role in the offense. Rex needs to improve his game and clock management. Again bottom-line: the guys who are here need to step-up this year. We look good on paper, but didn't play to that level last year.

Sections 100s or 300s?
Never NEVER Give-up replied to john_bult's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It's OK if you can't afford it. I had Kelly Club tickets last year and sat at the 50 yd line and loved it! This year I can't afford it either, but when I can, I'll repurchase them. -
jim kelly salary today
Never NEVER Give-up replied to nuklz2594's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Agreed. I still say we cut Shady if Tyrod gets a rich deal because we cannot invest that much money in the backfield. The only reason Shady is getting sick-money now is because we haven't had to pay a QB. -
So about Rex Ryan...
Never NEVER Give-up replied to Estelle Getty's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
We don't need him to be a bright guy, we need him to be a good football coach. Brilliance and head coaching acumen are mutually exclusive. A lot of smart guys are crappy coaches and on the flipside, a lot of dolts are good coaches. Rex may not be the brightest when it comes to the world; but in the football world, he is accomplished. Many feel he is not - this seems to be the biggest cause for debate in Buffalo - especially after last season's defensive performance. I still have my money on him to right the defense. My biggest concern is QB; 'cause in this leage you are no where without a top-ten guy. -
Pete Prisco from CBS agrees . . . but not so much about the whole draft: Buffalo Bills - C Prisco's analysis: "If you love Lawson and second-round linebacker Reggie Ragland, this is a good draft. If you don't, and I don't, it's just OK. That's why I rate this as an average draft." Best pick: Jonathan Williams, RB . Questionable move: Shaq Lawson in first round. Third-day gem: Kolby Listenbee , WR.

Exactly what i was thinking . . . . Thanks Fern!! http://blogs.buffalobills.com/2016/05/04/report-bills-to-host-free-agent-g-slauson/ From BuffaloBills.com -
Shady's value to the Bills...
Never NEVER Give-up replied to eball's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I bet they cut him or restructure his contract if/when they re-sign/extend Tyrod Taylor. No way they can justify investing THAT much money in the backfield! -

Because the Pat's signed him. If he went to Miami or San Diego. We may not know that he left the Bills until training camp. Sick and tired of the gilded Pats, but when you have a great QB, you gotta let it play out - but 20 yrs is absurd!
