SI Predicts 2019 Records
Never NEVER Give-up replied to Just Joshin''s topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
LOL, yeah, then he says that the winnable games were at the beginning of the season against the Jets-Giants-Bengals and Skins . . . so are we to believe those are the 4 "wins" he converted to "Losses" so our record would go from 10-6 to 6-10? That means we start 0-3 and face the Pats in wk 4 (we face Skins around wk 8). -
Levy/Kelly ranked 8th Coach/QB duo
Never NEVER Give-up replied to BobbyC81's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Bills were 1 of 8 on 3rd Down. G-men were 9 of 16. -
Bucs finalizing one-year deal with Ndamukong Suh
Never NEVER Give-up replied to HOUSE's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
That's one way to say it. I think Suh paced himself (ok - dogged it) during the year and only started to play in earnest once the playoffs started. I have no use for a part-timer. -

Best BBQ in the Buffalo Area?

Fat Bob's downtown (Allentown) is great. But even better is One-eyed Jack's - on Transit near Robinson Rd in Lockport. -
Steve Tasker belongs in the Hall of Fame
Never NEVER Give-up replied to HOUSE's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Tasker in the HOF? This question is more interesting than ever because of the rule changes on kick-offs. His value today would be diminished on kick-offs. On punts - no change and he was special there. I'd love to see him get in; I'm afraid his best chance will come on the veteran's committee - and only if the voters on that committee were around when Tasker played, otherwise he'll be snubbed. -
Josh Allen spending time with Jim Kelly
Never NEVER Give-up replied to One Buffalo's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Elway was 6' 2 1/2" and 210 pounds, and the smallest of the five 1983 quarterbacks. Kelly was 6' 3" and 215. (now looks to be between 6'1" - 6' 2") Marino was 6'-3 3/8" and weighed 214. -

Logan Thomas signs with Lions
Never NEVER Give-up replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Great - now the Lions won't be picking TJ Hotchkinson (sp) before we get a crack at him in the draft!! But, I wouldn't bet on this! -

OT Ty Nsekhe (Redskins) to the Bills
Never NEVER Give-up replied to MAJBobby's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He's 6'8", 330 lbs and a 5 year vet (late start in football). Per PFF - "May be the best swing tackle in the game." -
That's not right at all, but that story will live on forever at OBD, no doubt. That's your opinion and your entitled to it - but it is not fact. The negotiations with Pittsburgh advanced far enough that the Bills asked to speak to AB's rep Rosenhaus (sp). When hearing how much AB was looking for, Beane pulled out. Around the same time, media-types were reporting that the Bills and Steelers were close to a deal to which AB said "Fake News" (because he knew the Bills backed out). All the noise then prompted Bean to make his "eloquent" statement to quash the "Buffalo is undesirable" threads.

This is the wrong way to look at it. You need to look at it thru the lens of a team needing/signing WR's. Or players at the other positions. Mitch is now the highest paid center in the league. Word is Paradis will surpass that when he signs. Free Agency is all about the Law of Supply & Demand in 3D. The Supply & Demand of Players; the Supply & Demand of resources at positions of need and the Supply of and Demand for money on a sliding scale based on players and # of players at the various positions. FA is about positions of need - because they'll play now. The Draft is about the BPA - because they may not play regularly for 1-2 years
-
I hope he gets "stuck" in Pittsburgh! No offense to the Steelers, but if this were about money (and I know he wanted more guaranteed), he overplayed his hand because (as a previous poster said) Teams will be spending their FA dollars starting this weekend and he could be left out in the cold. Here's hoping!
-
If/when he's dealt - it'll be interesting to see what he brings the Steelers. If Bflo walked away from getting Brown and the Steeler's #20 pick for Bill's #9 and a Defensive Player; I wonder what someone else will have to pay. I believe the circus the Bills went thru will help drive DOWN the return the Steeler's reap - maybe a 2nd or 3rd rounder now.

The Pats have (well, had) a “Character Coach”
Never NEVER Give-up replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Hmmm, not hearing much out of Boston these days. With the Patriot Way taking on a whole new meaning, maybe Kraft did us all a favor by tamping-down the noise back east! -
